Each singer had his own individual style udit narayan , sonu nigam , kumar sanu , abhijeet , kk , shaan no singer used to sound alike ...like the trend of today
i just got remembered this song kk đŸ˜‰ see the passion in kk voice

and today every singer sound alike same drunken tone is this really what new generation want to hear ? like seriously ? ...if u notice arijit singh he sound good in some songs but in many he sing like he is sleeping or not interested no passion na voice modulation and enthusiasm ...arijit singh followed atif aslam singing style ... arman malik mostly follow arijit singh style...

one more Modren style song of 2000 vocally perfect by sonu

exactly. Almost everyone sings with the same style these days. Back then, the variety was there.

It's not only about the style of singing, but songs back then actually had some meaning to them. And they were really melodious and nice to listen to. Yeah, some were cheesy and today if we heard them again we'd laugh, but so many songs were soulful and straight from the heart. Nowadays a lot of songs are crap in terms of lyrics and meaning. I'm a huge 90s fan. Nowadays music isn't the same anymore. That's not to say we don't get good songs anymore. Every once in a while, we get beautiful songs too - like the Aashiqui 2 tracks - they were very beautiful. I'm just saying in general.
