Katrina has always acted like a grown up and carried herself with a lot of dignity. There isn't a single person in Bollywood who has had anything bad to say about her other than bad acting, but Deepika's below the belt stuff, indirect stuff are notorious.

This screams PR to me by making Deepika a saint and Katrina the bad girl.

Anyway, if Deepika avoided greeting would've looked bad. But one normally greets ones friends by cheek kissing. A nod or perfunctory handshake would've been fine.
