Yes, for Gauri, this is new. She can now hope and expect, whilst previously she only wanted Omkara's acceptance but now she wants to be a bigger part of his life.
Omkara is jealous yes, he is possessive about her, again going back to his childhood, he had no one to call his own ( in a way), but now he has her and that's why he is very possessive.
