I really thought about the point you raised in your reply that why were we being hard on Lakshmi when we would have done the same thing. You know, surprisingly, I would not have done the same thing. It's not in me. I would be upset with Karan but I would not leave him. Why? Because he did not and would not have caused Surya physical harm. It was a whole bunch of events colliding with a disastrous result. He was a child who grew up believing S. was responsible. I actually would have done more of the same as Karan, although the little marriage and ingratiating yourself with the family would not have been the way to go.
Another reason is that I'm not a person who can go from love to hate instantaneously and especially when it is not necessary or deserved. Nor can I continue to hate someone who tries to do the right things, who loves me, and who goes to great trouble to help me.
