A/N: this is my first Ishqbaaz fanfic, I hope you guys like it.

The Oberois are performing the maha aarti.

Meethi smiles widely looking at her brothers doing the aarti united as one and not as individuals. But then, a man suicides by burning himself with a flammable liquid.

Shivaay, Omkara and Meethi run to him to try and save him followed by Rudra but Shivaay pushes them back to bodyguards who restrains OmRu. Meethi side by side Shivaay follows him but they both are stopped by other bodyguards who doesn't let them go despite them struggling.

8 hours earlier

Prinku was reciting or at least trying to recite her speech on the occasion of her late grandfather's birthday to the press in front of her grandmother. She fails and her grandmother Kalyani Singh Oberoi encourages her by narrating her how she met her husband and hopes that her grandchildren find there "takkar wala/wali".

After a moment

Dadi is found making a video for her late husband Pritivi, she starts by greeting him and narrates the lives of their sons Tej and Shakti and of their daughter in laws Jhanvi and Pinky. She then continues with Shivaay's life.

"Shivaay, humare khandaan ka sabse bada beta, Shakti aur Pinky ka beta. Wo to sirf do chizon se pyaar karta hai. Oberoi khandaan ka business aur apne bhaiyon aur behen se."

Shivaay is seen in a conference room of the Oberoi office. There was a discussion going on but half of his mind was on his mobile. He let out a small unnoticed laugh while scrolling through the pictures sent to him by Rudy and Meethi.

Just then, he receives a gif of Meethi punching the screen.(pretend it is Sheena Bajaj)

He gets startled and jumps a little but restrains himself from being noticed. He puts his phone down and will give an earful to his little sister about her pranks but still has a ghost smile on his lips as no matter what he will always love his siblings.

Back to dadi

"Humhara dusra pota Omkara, wo to apne hi duniya main khoya rehta hai.

Sab kehte hai ki usko apne murtiyon aur paintings insanon se zyada samajte hai usko. Par uski behen Meethi, humhari lado uski bhaiya ko akela chorne wali nahi hai. Humesha usko company deke iska man aur akelapan door karti hai".

Omkara is seen alone in his studio painting a landscape when someone tries to enter the room unnoticed but fails. A smile reaches Om's face as he knows who it is. Meethi's footsteps may have been cautious, but were noise pollution to Om as she was visiting him for countless times since many years.

As Meethi reaches Om, she raises her hands to cover her bhaiya's eyes to suprise him. Om ducks, Meethi helps and ends flat on her butt. Knowing what would happen, Om had placed a cushion where she landed. Om laughed and turns on his stool to see his little sister rubbing her back while having a cute pout on her face which clearly indicated "not funny bhaiya! Main apse khati".

"Aaawww" said Om while Meethi turned her face away not facing Om. He then took out her favourite chocolate and showed it to her while raising his eyebrows teasingly. She smiled widely, stood up and sat on the stool next to Om and started eating her chocolates.

She had her unfinished painting in front of her as her painting for an art contest presentation. They smiled at each other and completed their paintings.

Back to dadi

"Phir humhari Lado Maithili, apni badi maa(Jhanvi) ki ladhli. Wohi hai jo apne bade bhaiyon ki ek pyaari zimedari, par lado to ShivOm ko bade hone ka ahesaas dilati hai aur wo bhi strictly nahi. Lado ke ane ke baad, ShivOm nahi rahe, par ShivOmThi ban gaye."

Dadi smiled even more and continued.

"Meethi hi hai jo apne badi maa ki champion beti, apne bade papa ke choti workaholic, apne Prinku aur Rudra ke hamesha help karne wali behen, apne papa aur meri princess aur apne bhaiyon ke pyaari musketeer."

Dadi incessantly again smiled widely and laughed while saying.

"Us ladki ko doodh Se sakt nafrat hai, par phir bhi inter college ki champion hai. Pata nahi ki wo aise kaise bani. Ek aur baat, humhare lado ko sirf Prinku hi doodh bila sakti hai aur humhare pure khandaan no Pata nahi kaise."

Maithili is seen entering her college's gate in her car while paparazzi try to get a glimpse of her. She gets out of her car and walks to her best friend Raj Kolvankar.

They both enter the gymnasium, Maithili takes out her gloves when she receives a funny text from Rudra. She laughs and replies to the text and takes support of the punching bag behind her. She loses her balance and manages to stand when she hears Raj yelp while he fell of the ring.

Maithili turns to check if he's fine and apologises but does not help him immediately. She takes a selfie of her being guilty while Raj was still on the floor and sent it to Rudy with a cheeky comment.

Back to dadi

"Aur akhri main, humhara sabse chota pota Rudra. Uska subha college main, sham gym main aur raat kissi party main. Wo to in charon ke bich bacha hai, humesha in charon ke biche rahta hai. Kabhi Shivaay ke joke sunane wala bhai, ya Om ka irritating Rudy, ya phir Meethi ka punching bag. Wo in charon ko bura kar deta hai".

Rudra is seen texting ShivOmThi jokes and pictures while he is in college. He does push ups in gym during afternoon while Meethi is on the treadmill. And he parties at night in a club with college friends.

Back to dadi

"Aap ko to pata hai ki humhare bete ek duniya main rahete hai aur humhare bahuain ek dusri duniya main. Par humhare poton aur poti ka kya hoga, kya ve humesha sath rahenge. Mera to ek hi icha(wish) hai ki humhare poton aur poti ko apne takkar ke ishqbaaz miljaain. Tab ve ishqbaazi ka rang janege aur unke zindagiyon main to rang hi rang ayega".

Dadi smiled to herself and saved the video diary and hoped that her grandchildren would witness the "rang" of their own 'ishqbaazi' soon.

Chapter 1

RECAP

Dadi was recording a video for her late husband's video diary, she ended it and turned towards the noise of a boat. She saw her grandchildren: Shivaay, Omkara, Maithili and Rudra riding the boat.

Story continues

As they approached the staircase, they got down and helped Meethi as she was wearing a churidar. ShivOmRu pulled Meethi in their arms and swing her from right to left as she giggled while asking them to put her down.

They put her down and she whacked each of them on the back of their heads. They faked a painful growl and laughed together at their sister's cuteness. Dadi was smiling widely, so was Prinku as she saw her elder siblings united while fooling around.

ShivOmThiRu (Thi for Meethi) climbed the rest of the staircase with shades on them. They walked confidently and stood proudly while reporters took their photos. After the photos were took, ShivOmThiRu walked while talking.

"Bhai, main apka phone try kar raha tha, par apne nahi uthaya?" ales Rudra. OmThiRu looked at Shivaay and Om said"Ap ne phirse tod di". Meethi added",Please Bhaiya, it's so obvious kisi par gussa aaya hoga aur phone tod di".(Maithili only calls Om bhaiya)

Shivaay nodded at OmThiRu while remembering the girl who broke his windshield and threw his given money back at him.(A/N:the girl is Anika). Shivaay answered" Haan, driver pe ". OmRu nodded but Maithili knew that it was something else. She raised her eyebrows at him and he mouthed 'later'.

OmRu then said"phone number..." and turned to Meethi, she replied"78". ShivOmThi then started teasing Rudra by either snapping their fingers near his ears while Meethi pulled some of his hair.

Rudra had enough and asked"Aap teeno na, bahut ajeeb ho. Jab koyi bahaar wala tang kare to uski pitaye karte ho. Kyun?" ShivOm grabbed his shoulders while Meethi stood in front of them with crossed arms.

Maithili started" Are mere pyaare protein shake AKA Rudy, haq to banta hai" Om continued

"Absolutely, kyunki hum bhai aur behen hai, tumhe pareshaan aur tang bhi karenge" Shivaay finished "aur jo bhi karenge"."Hum karenge!"

ShivOmThi in unison.

"Bhai aur behena, dil boley.." "Yeah, whatever" replied Shivaay. "Nahi" said Rudy and pulled ShivOmThi in his arms. "mazaa nahi aaya" he continued. "Dil boley," "Oberoi!!!" said ShivOmThiRu in unison. Rudra hugged them"I love you guys", Meethi replied" Rudy, O'siblings moment ab over ho chuka hai".

Om agreed" han, ab awkward ho gaya" Shivaay replied"Yeah, let's go". Rudra broke the hug reluctantly, while OmThi grinned at each other and followed Shivaay.

OmThi laughed while Rudra pouted and walked alongside Shivaay towards dadi. They took off their shades and bowed to take blessings from their dadi. She smiled widely at the four of them and they had a group hug.

"Dadi, apke teen musketeers aa gaye" said Meethi jokingly. "Acha?" asked dadi, Meethi nodded she continued" To tum kaun ho?" asked dadi. "Meri pyaari dadi, hum Meethi and the three musketeers hain" said Meethi jokingly. They all laughed and Prinku said,"didi aap bhi na".

"Par didi, why Meethi and the three musketeers, and not Rudy and the three musketeers?" asked Rudra. "Kyunki main tumse badi hoon" said Meethi while shuffling his hair teasingly. Meet his then ran behind laughing ShivOm who stopped Rudra and Meethi from fighting. They too teased Rudra and showed dadi a surprise.

ShivOmThiRu each took a part of the trolley decorated with flowers and turned it to reveal a big framed photo of her husband. Dadi smiled widely looking at the scene in front of her. ShivOmThiRu went behind dadi with Prinku and they looked at the man they never met but wished to have known.

Dadi said" dekhiye na, apke poton (grandchildren) apko happy birthday wish kar rahe hai".

"You were the best dadu" said Shivaay. "We really miss you, umeed hai ki life achi thi aur hai jaha aap honge" said Meethi getting emotional and teared-eyed. Dadi wiped her tears, while Prinku hugged her back and her brothers joined them.

"Wish that we met you" said Rudy trying to lighten the moment which made Meethi hide his chest playfully while they laughed. "Are lado, aasu tumhare akhein main bilkul achi nahi lagti, ab ro mat" said dadi cupping Maithili's face in her hands.

She nodded and smiled widely at them and wiped the rest of her tears. They separated and each went away from each other. Tej when to Omkara and started scolding him. "didn't I tell you to come early".

With Pinky and Shivaay

"tum Omkara ko sath main kyun lekar aaya" asked Pinky.

with Om and Tej

Tej"tumhe akele aana chahiye tha, Meethi ke sath. Om life is a race, Maithili to samajh gayi par tum. Race main hanth pakar kar nahi chalte".

Om"ye apke liye race hoga Mr Oberoi, par mere liye ye ek safar hai aur safar main hath nahi chota jata".

Pinky and Shivaay

Pinky"are bhaiyon se pyaar kar, masti kar, jo bhi karna hai kar par behen ko sir(head) par mat chara aur apna haq mat dena beta".

Shivaay"Mom please, Meethi ko kuch mat kahena, ok".

Pinky"Theek hai, par tum iss khandaan ka waris ho waris"

Shakti" Pinky, please meri baat.."

Pinky"rehne do, mere bete ko kya karna hai wo main hi janu varna wo apke tarah panega".

Shakti"Pinky, maine tumhe baar baar kaha hai ki iss parivaar mera sapna hai aur meri beti ke bare main kuch mat bolna samji"

Pinky"aap na, apna sapna aur beti apne hi paas rakho, kyunki ye mere liye sirf ek 15 hazaar crores ka check hai, aur kharch karne ke liye chahiye"

Shivaay" paas please, mom Maithili ke bare main aap nahi bolenge to acha hoga. Mujhe sirf mere bhaiyon aur behen ke bond ka fikre hai and nothing else"

Shivaay walked away.

With Om and Tej

Tej" main try karte rahonja, tab tak ki tum na samajh pao that I want your good"

Jhanvi"Tej, Om samajdar hai, wo samajta hai that you want his good"

Tej"Wo aur samajdar, no way. Jo crores se khel sakta hai, par meti(mud,clay) Se khel raha hai use samajdar mat kaho, learn from your sister at least"

Jhanvi"they are artists Tej, let him be. Wo apne pairon par khara hai"

Tej" Please, jo tumhara beta ho, wo kaise khara ho sakta hai, you're such a drunk"

Om" Mr Oberoi, agar aap chahte hai ki main is tamasha main shamil rahon, to meri maa se maafi magiye aur meri behen ko in baton se door rakhiye"

Om was about to leave when Tej stopped him and apologized to Jhanvi. Dadi came and stood a little far in between her son's and daughter in laws while they faced each other's backs. Meethi stood near her with Prinku, she had witnessed both of their conversations.

She was deep in her sad throughs when her phone rang, she told Prinku that she'll be right back and went to answer the call. It was her secretary who informed her about her schedule for after the maha aarti. While walking away, she saw Rudy fooling two girls.

She shook her head while thinking "tumhara kuch nahi ho sakta Rudra".

A while later

"Didi, Meethi di" shouted Rudra while running to Meethi who was sitting at the shade of a shelter talking to dadi and Om.

Rudra"Acha hua ki aap teeno sath hai, ye dekhiye"

Maithili"agar ye tumhara gym ka ek video hai to please, mat dekha mere bhai. Main tumhare sath hi gym jati hoon"

Rudra" Are nahi didi, ap sab na, ye dekhiye to dekhte hi rahoge"

Rudra showed dadi, Om and Meethi the video of Anika destroying the windshield of Shivaay's car and slapping his bundle of money on his face. They all had their jaws dropped on the ground.

Meethi" *surprised* What in the world, ye ladki ne Shivaay ka to aisi ki taisi ki. Salute to you girl"

Om" *laughs* to ye hai uska driver"

Meethi"han, but uski car ka kya kusoor, poor windshield"

Rudra" you're right didi, ab bhaiya ko windshield ki shopping karne ke liye jana padega"

OmThi"Shut up Rudra"

Dadi" par ye ladki hai kaun"

Rudra" nahi Pata dadi"

Om" par jo bhi hai, Shivaay ka takkar ka wo hai"

Meethi" totally, par mujhe use milna hai bhaiya. Shivaay ko ye sab karne ke baad, haq to banta hai"

Om" I agree, use tarif karne ka haq banta hai"

Rudra"O please, as if wo ladki yaha ayegi. Use hamari tarifon long distance se hi milegi. Kyunki wo to yahan to ane nahi wali hai"

Near the gate of the maha aarti, Anika enters and starts walking. Rudra notices her.

Rudra" O, didi, bhagvan ne apki sun li. Wahan dekhiye, wo ladki"

They turned to see Anika walking with her broken Chameli(footwear) in hand.

While dadi, Om and Rudra's gaze were set on Anika, Maithili saw Shivaay.

Meethi"Oh o, guys you got to see this"

They turned to see Shivaay walking towards Anika with his new phone in hand.

dadi and OmThiRu"O Teri"

After a moment, Shivaay and Anika came in front of each other. They stood in silence while glaring at each other.

Rudra" guys, ye dono mute kyun hai"

Om" Kyunki Rudy, Kabhi kabhi khamoshi aur akhon baat karte hai, sirf zuban nahi"

Dadi" puttar, apne urdu ke shayeri apne paas hi rakh"

Meethi" bhaiya, hum dono ke sivah kisi ko humhare shayeri samajh nahi aate"

Rudra" so true, par apne dilon ko tham ke baithiye Kyunki asli drama to ab shuru hogi"

Anika and Shivaay were still looking at each other in total silence.

Rudra" dadi, main to sirf naam ka lady killer hoon par bhaiya us ladki ko maarkar aj sach much main lady killer banenge"

Dadi" nahi, wo kuch nahi karega"

Rudra" are dadi main bhaiya ko achi tarah Se janta hoon"

Maithili" chup kar rudy, agar dadi kah rahi hai to wo hi sach hai"

Om " par dadi, Kya Shivaay use yaha se nahi nikalega "

Dadi" nahi, wo kuch nahi karega"

Maithili" I agree with dadi"

Rudra"Theek hai, to lagi sharat ki main aur O ko apse aur di Se zyada bhaiya ko jante hai"

Dadi" lagi sharat"

Om" chalo, dekhte hai ki Shivaay ko kaun achi taraha Se janta hai"

Maithili" you're on bhaiya"

Shivaay continued looking at Anika when suddenly he did his signature move(his hand through his hair) and walked away. Rudra was surprised but kept silence as he lost the bet.

Maithili is talks to her secretary as she walks through the maha aarti's place. She ends her call and sees Shivaay and Anika trying to talk on their phones but are disturbing each other. She laughed at the scene and walked away.

Chapter 2

RECAP

Meethi sees Shivaay and Anika trying to talk on their phones but are disturbing each other and smiled widely. She went away hoping that her brother could forget all about naam khoon aur khandaan and be happy with his takkar wali.

Story continues

Meethi walks back to dadi, OmRu only to find Rudra upset because he lost the bet. Dadi said that Shivaay didn't throw her(Anika) out because of his weakness. Rudra calls Shivaay and they started to talk.

Rudra"Dadi, aap aise kaise kah sakte hai ki bhaiya ka weakness hai, apki akhon Kya x-Ray vision wali hai kya"

Om and dadi laughed while Meethi smacked Rudra's head.

Meethi"Are dumbbell Singh Oberoi, dadi robot thori na hai ki uski x-Ray vision hogi"

Om"I agree, Kyunki dadi ki experience hai, isliye unhone ye kaha"

Rudra"but bhaiya ki Kya Kya galti ho sakti hai"

Shivaay smacked Rudra and dadi laughed.

Dadi"Shivaay ka ye kamzori hai ki use apne khoon aur khandaan par bada garv hai, aur wo ek insaan ki kabiliat ko chorkar uska khandaan dekhta hai"

Rudra" to bhaiya ne us ladki ko Kyun char Se bahaar nahi nikala"

Dadi" Kyunki tumhara bhai sirf Apne hi barabari ke insaan Se hi rishta rakhta hai, aur nafrat bhi ek rishta hai. Dushmani karna ho to wo khandaan dekhke karega tumhara bhai"

Meethi" well said dadi, well said"

Om" ye to sach hai par agar Shivaay ko kisi ladki jiski na naam khoon aur khandaan ho par uski barabari ki ho to"

Meethi" Haan bhaiya, maana to padega ki in between them there's something"

Rudra" Haan didi, chemistry hai"

Shivaay" no way, Meri puri life mere hi control main hai ye Kabhi nahi hoga"

Dadi" beta, pyaar ka ye hi to hai, ki jab ho gaya to control nahi hota. tere dada ji kaha karte the ki jab life ki gari start ho gata hai, tab red signal dekhte bhi nahi rukta"

Rudra"wa dadi wa, is ke silsile me, main ek sher bolunga. Jab dada the so daring, Jab dada the so daring poton(grandchildren) hoge ishqbaaz. wo Lahore ke lady killer, hum Mumbai ke ishqbaaz"

Meethi" hogaya, ab ek main bhi bolungi. after all, haq to banta hai mere bhaiyon.

ishqbaazi main sab chalta hai, ishqbaazi main sab chalta hai to naam khoon aur khandaan ka kya kare, jab dil hi gavana hai"

Om " wa, maana to padega ki ye hum sab ko samajh main aaya to sahi"

Meethi" bhaiya, that was mean"

Om laughed and side hugged her.

Shivaay" dadi, maha aarti ho rahi hai, Meri aarti to nahi. aap mujhe chorkar, Om ka weakness bataye".

Om" ok, main independent hoon, aur I believe in the truth. na Mujhe kisi ka naam ya khandaan Se koi Lena dena nahi hai"

Meethi" now that's intense bhaiya, what say dadi'

Dadi" main kahati hoon ki tumhara sachayi hi tumhara weakness banenga. bachban main mere bauji ka sone(gold) ka kaam karta tha. to tabhi Se Mujhe pata tha ki zewar (jewellery) banane ke liye milavat zaroori hai. to zindagi main thora sa jhoot aur sapna milane badenge"

She turns to Om and Meethi.

dadi" aur tum dono artists hokar bhi ye nahi samajh paye"

Meethi" par dadi, bhaiya to jhoot Se sakt nafrat hai"

Om " true, to main jhoot nahi bolunga"

Dadi "par wo to bol sakti hai na. jo tum logon main Kami hai, wo tumhare takkar wale main hoga"

Meethi" you're so great dadi, aap ko to sab pata hai"

dadi" are hamari ladhli si lado, tumhara bhi ek rajkumar ayega aur tumhe bachake le gayega"

Rudra" par dadi, didi to sab ko bachati hai aur khood ko bhi, to phir kaise"

dadi"jo sab ko bachata hai, usko ek na ek din kisi ki madad lena parta hai aur wo bhi khood ko bachane ke liye"

ShivOm shared a look of deep thinking since they never even considered of letting a guy take their Meethi away. but Rudra broke their thoughts.

Rudra"Dadi, aap mere bare main kuch bataiye na. mere paas abs hai, bangla hai, gari hai, ladkiyan hai aur mere paas to ma bhi hai. Dadi I'm perfect"

Dadi " tumhara sab Se bada kamzori hai ki tum na, age Se kuch nahi dikhta. ye ladkiyan Se Kya milta hai tujko. aur ye abs, agar ek mahine ke liye paratha khayega to abs Apne aap chalte gainge. sabse Acha cheez hai achayi, jo Acha hai wo Apne jaise hi rahega"

Rudra" agar aap kah rahi hai ki mere zindagi main ek paratha khandaan wale ladki ayegi to no way dadi"

dadi" dada ji sher to zeech liye par apna nahi liye. puttar, ishqbaazi kab suru hoti hai wo tumhe nahi Pata chalega"

ShivOmThi nodded understanding their dadi's words whereas Rudy was confused as always.

Time skip

OmThiRu went to meet Anika to praise her on her bravery to have confronted their elder brother. But Anika being Anika though that they were complimenting her to be cooking puris.

OmThiRu shared confused and shocked looks as Anika talks about her professions. Rudra his behind OmThi as he was scared of Anika. OmRu misunderstood her words while Meethi was restraining herself from laughing.

As Anika offered OmThiRu some puris, OmRu refused politely while Meethi took some and thanked her.

Time skip

As the priest says that whoever does the maha aarti will become the heir of the Oberoi's empire. Then ShivOmRu came into the scene by putting each of Meethi's arms while she struggled.

ShivOmRu wants Maithili alongside as they walk through the entrance, she finally gave up. They walked together and smiled as photos were took.

Suddenly, Maithili saw Prinku being questioned by reporters as she tried to get away but failed. Without losing a second, Maithili ran to help her as Anika was their too. They took Prinku away from the reporters as Maithili said.

Maithili"aap sab ko kuch der main Pata chal gayega, so please wait"

Anika took Prinku away and Maithili finally calmed the reporters down and went in between ShivOm.

The priest kept asking that who will do the aarti. Just then, Shivaay walked to the stairs and stopped. He held both of his hands out for OmRu to hold and they did. ShivOmRu turned to look at Maithili, she smiled widely and nodded while wrapping her arms around dadi's neck.

ShivOmRu returned her smile and climbed the rest of the stairs and started to do the aarti together while Pinky and Tej were everything but happy. Dadi said to Tej and Pinky while smiling at Maithili.

Dadi" mere poton (grandchildren) aise mile hue hai jaise pani main pani milta hai. Tumhare lathi marne Se bhi, charon sach hi rahenge"

Suddenly, a man came into the scene shouting 'Tej Oberoi' and put a flammable liquid all over himself. He took out a brisket and burned himself alive which was witnessed by everyone except ShivOmThiRu as the aarti was still on going.

ShivOmThiRu finally noticed the man and started running to him but we're stopped by guards.

Chapter 3

RECAP

Shivaay's hand got burned by trying to help the unknown burning man at the maha aarti. He talked to dadi while sitting on the stairs of the maha aarti's place.

Next morning

ShivOmThi are standing at the poolside of Oberoi mansion. ShivOm start arguing about what happened at the maha aarti.

Om" Shivaay, kal ek aadmi galkar mar gaya aur aj, ek bhi news channel, newspaper ya website par is ke parents main nahi hai. Kyun?"

Shivaay" it's ok, humhare khandaan par kuch nahi hai. So that's what matters"

Om" ek jaan Se bhi zyada important hai ye"

Shivaay " I didn't mean that Om..."

Finally Maithili couldn't take it anymore and shouted.

ShivOm stopped and stayed silent while looking at their sister and waiting for her to continue talking not wanting her to be more angry.

Maithili"Baas, ab main ek bhi word iss topic ke bare main nahi sunna hai, ok. Seriously guys, pata hai ki tum dono kiski tarah argue kar rahe ho. Papa aur bade papa ki tarah."

Shivaay" Par Meethi..."

She turned her head away.

Om"humhare baat to suno Meethi"

Maithili cut him off getting very frustrated.

Maithili" no, just don't. Don't Meethi me ok. Aap dono na, Kya prove karna chahte hai, huh? Jo hua so hua, yesterday ek aadmi ne apne aap ko zinda jala diya bade papa ke naam ko lene ke baad."

Shivaay" ye hi to main kah raha hoon, ki koyi hum aur humhare khandaan par sadis kar raha hai"

Om" Sach much main Shivaay, Kya proof hai ki ye sach hai"

Shivaay" to Kya proof hai ki main jhoot bol raha hoon"

Maithili" Exactly, no one knows, koyi proof nahi hai iss ke bare main. To tum dono Kyun jagar rahe ho. So stop it with all this argument...or should I say, stop fighting. *yells* Let's try to solve it as grown ups and not like our parents..."

Rudra"didi, bhai"

Suddenly Rudra came into the scene with a stoic expression.

ShivOmThi looked at each other and stayed silent as their younger brother was witnessing their argument.

Maithili" Rudy..."

There was a tense mood in the air for a moment, but Rudra broke it while showing off his abdomen.

Rudra" Dekhiye na didi, bhaiya kitna mota ho gaya hoon main"

Rudra said sounding depressed while Meethi face palmed and leaned on Shivaay's shoulder. She gave ShivOm a 'please kill me' look while they patted her head while grinning widely at Rudra's attempt to calm the air of the room.

Om" tumhe Pata hai ki jab tu hai to mujhe apni girlfriend ki yad nahi aati"

Om said to Rudra and hit his head.

Shivaay" are aise kise ko marta hai Kya"

Said Shivaay and he too smacked Rudra's head.

Maithili" oh please, aap dono na uska weak spot to jante hi nahi"

Said Meethi while pulling Rudra's ear. Rudra let out moans of pain while ShivOmThi laughed and she finally let Rudra go.

Maithili" Are, haq to banta hai na protein shake. So Rudy, what's up"

Rudra" well, sar(head) Dar ke alava Kya ho sakta hai"

ShivOmThi laughed at their younger brother's stupidity.

Shivaay" lado ka matlab tha ki morning Se Kya chal raha hai"

OmThi nodded positively.

Rudra" oh, aap teeno ko Pata hai ki aj mera cheat day hai, to Kya bana hai khane main?"

Shivaay" ek minute aj hum nahi, main khana banaonga"

Rudra" menu main Kya hai?"

Om" paneer butter masala"

Rudra" par mere liye kya?"

Shivaay" tofu sath dal donga "

Maithili" aur dessert main Meethi's special strawberry shortcake spongy sponge cake, par Shivaay"

She pointed at his bandaged hand.

Om" she's right, iss hanth Se kaise bana payega ye sab"

Shivaay" Agar Shivaay Singh Oberoi kuch karna chahta hai to rasta use khud b khud dhoon leta hai"

OmThiRu shared a look and started teasing Shivaay.

Rudra" Shivaay Singh Oberoi chahe, to wo machar ko ek thapar Se mar sakta hai"

Om " Shivaay Singh Oberoi chahe to toothpaste ko wapas endar dal sakta hai"

Shivaay turned to Meethi who was trying to hold back her laughter and said.

Shivaay" tum kuch nahi bologi Meri ladhli lado"

Maithili though and said getting emotional.

Meethi" Agar Shivaay Singh Oberoi chahe, to apni lado ko Kabhi sasural jane na de"

By hearing this, OmRu turned to Meethi getting emotional too. Shivaay took a deep breath and lifted Meethi's head so she looked at them. Shivaay said while his voice was slowly breaking.

Shivaay" rulaoge kya, agar Meri baas main hai, to tum Kabhi kahi nahi jaoge. Then again, mere baas main hi to hai, right? "

Meethi hugged Shivaay getting teared eyed, OmRu too joined the hug. (lafzon ka ye rista nahi plays in the background)

They kept crying with smiles on their faces. Maithili was truly happy and lucky to be Shivaay, Omkara and Rudra's sister. Meethi felt really lucky.

Finally they wiped their tears and broke the hug. ShivOmRu kissed Meethi on her head and they suddenly said.

ShivOmThiRu" Dil boley Oberoi"

They laughed when Meethi pulled Rudra's ear. She had a playful expression on her face.

Maithili" tum Shivaay ke bare main Kya keh rahe the, huh? Ab bolo bolo, jo bolna hai bolo"

Rudra" kuch nahi didi, please choriye na. I'm really sorry. Mom, dad, bhai help"

Rudra shouted but ShivOm laughed while they followed ThiRu to the kitchen.

ShivOmThiRu wore their aprons and cook hats and started cooking. They cooked on the stove while Maithili made the cake's dough while eating few eggs while mixing them in a bowl.

A while later

ShivOmThiRu finished cooking food, Meethi took out her cake and started preparing it. She cut the cake while ShivOmRu were cutting fruits for decoration. ShivOmRu laughed while eating some of the fruits only to get scold and smacked by Meethi playfully.

Pinky breaks news that Tia, Shivaay's girlfriend is returning from London. She asked him to go meet her as she loves Tia as she is has naam khoon and khandaan and left.

Rudra" oh God, aa gayi wapas lady baba"

Said Rudra depressed. Maithili knew what he felt as she too had a certain dislike towards Tia Kapoor.

Shivaay"lady baba?"

Maithili"yup, *sarcasm*Rudy ka pyaara sa nickname for your lovingly sweet girlfriend"

Shivaay "*amused* was that sarcasm Meethi?"

OmThi shared a look.

Om"choro na Shivaay"

Rudra"Haan, aur vaise hi main sach kah raha hoon. Lady baba hai wo, kitni spiritual batain karti hai wo. *mimicking Tia* Oh Shivaay baby, we're so connected you know, humhare souls ka ek connection hai na"

Meethi patted OmRu's backs, she stood behind Shivaay and started mimicking his every move making OmRu trying to hold their laughs.

Shivaay" shut up Rudra. Respect Se baat karo Tia ke bare main, ok? Kuch samjao use OmThi."

Om " Ok"

Suddenly, Shivaay turned with an fake angry look and saw Meethi mimicking him. She stood behind Rudra and high five him after Shivaay turned his back on them. Shivaay said.

Shivaay" mujhe Pata hai ki tum Kya kar rahe the lado"

Maithili froze in sports while Rudra clapped his hands fake killing flies. Finally Shivaay could not hold his laughter and burst out in laughing.

OmThiRu too started laughing.

Rudra"ok, so respected"

Maithili cut him off.

Maithili" adarnir"

Rudra" Haan, adarnir lady baba"

Maithili" AKA Tia Card."

Shivaay" oye?"

Maithili"Shivaay, use choro na aur usko apni credit card ke sath shaadi karwa lo. Imagine, Mrs Tia Card!"

Shivaay"*puts a finger on his lips* shush lado"

OmThiRu shared a laugh while Shivaay looked amused.

Rudra" Haan, wo main kah raha tha ki, aap Tia Se pyaar karte ho?"

While Rudra kept talking about lovey dovey couple stuff, OmThi shared a silent laugh.

Maithili did not pay attention until Rudra said.

Om face palmed while Meethi said.

Meethi tried to answer but Shivaay cut her off and grabbed her shoulders lightly.

Shivaay" it's just like Santa Claus Meethi, no one say him but hear of him countless times"

Om "you're wrong, and we really hope Shivaay, ki tumhare zindagi main tumhe sacha pyaar ho"

Meethi" Haan Shivaay, pyaar zaroor hoga, jaise dadi kaheti hai na. wo bhi tumhare takkar wali ke sath."

Rudra " Haan par hopefully shaadi Se pahele, warna bahut complications honge"

ShivOmThi smiled at each other.

Shivaay was out for work and to meet Tia while OmThiRu were in Rudra's room. Rudra was punching his punching bag while Om was holding the bag. Meethi was drinking raw eggs while talking to her secretary.

Suddenly, she saw Om chasing Rudra and they ended up on the couch. Maithili guessed.

Maithili" tum ne phir Se bhaiya ka ek sculpture ya painting ek girlfriend ko gift karli, right?"

Om" Haan, par Pata nahi agar usne tumhara bhi ek painting gift ki ho"

Meethi immediately dropped her phone and glass and went to OmRu and started scolding and smacking him.

Maithili" what in the world Rudy? Tumhara koyi haq nahi banta ki tum humhare artworks lelo. got it?"

Suddenly Rudra ran to dadi who just entered the room.

Rudra" Dadi bachao, O aur didi Mar rahe hai mujhe. Dekho, khoon bhi hai"

dadi" jhutha(lier)"

Rudra"abhi aayega, agar mere face ko kuch ho jata to main haseen ladkiyon ko Kya kaheta?"

OmThi"tumhare badsurat face ka to hum..."

Dadi cut them off.

Dadi" ye sab choro aur ye bolo ki agar tum me Se kisi ne Shivaay Se baat ki hai.

OmThiRu nodded negatively.

Rudra" but don't worry dadi, wo Tia ke farmhouse pahonch chuka hoga."

Maithili" aur hazaar selfies bhi khichi hogi, wo Mrs Card Shivaay ke sath"

Rudra" Dadi hum bhaiya ki shaadi us lady baba ke sath Kyun kar rahe hai. usko mera naam nahi yaad hai, mera naam. Rudra ka, Mujhe protein shake pulati hai wo"

Maithili" aur dadi bhaiya ko to wo, what do you say Rudy"

Rudra" royal ignore karti hai wo O ko"

Maithili nodded with a pout on her face which was on Om's shoulder. Om patted her cheeks.

Rudra" aur didi ko wo *clears his voice and mimics Tia" OMG, hey champ. Tum na hero ho, Apne manicure and spa treatments ko kaise sacrifice karke boxing champion ho. you're such a feminist, artist, dancer and business woman, you go girl!!."

Rudra continued to mimic and complain about Tia.

Rudra" Dadi, jaise didi bolti hai na hum us lady baba ki shaadi uski credit card Se karwale. wo zyada kush rahegi"

ThiRu high five.

OmThi" dadi, he's right"

Maithili" ye rista nahi hai dadi, balki sauda hai"

Om " jo humhare do companies ke bich hai and we wish ki Shivaay ko apni takkar wali mile. jaise apne kaha tha"

OmThiRu apologised to dadi but she understood them and said that if Shivaay loves his dadi, brothers and sisters, so how much will he love his takkar wali.

A/N: hi guys SORRY for not updating for so long cause my exams are like in 5 weeks but here's a chapter.

P.S: I skipped many episodes, this is after Anika's entry as the wedding planner and before the raksha bandhan festivities.

Maithili's birthday

Maithili was taking selfies on her bed since she was dead bored. She got more bored, stood up and threw her phone and went to her unfinished painting. The painting was of her three brothers at the maha aarti, she had painted it to divert herself from thinking about the maha aarti incident.

Time skip

Maithili finally finished her painting and looked at it proudly.

Maithili "perfect, just perfect"

Prinku "really didi,"

Priyanka entered her elder cousin's room.

Maithili "Prinku, kya matlab hai tumhara"

Prinku "Didu, mera matlab ye hai ki ye photo perfect nahi hai"

Said Prinku while hugging Maithili around her neck from her back.

Maithili "oh really?"

Prinku"haan, Kyunki iss painting main aap nahi hai na"

Maithili" iss main main nahi hoon Kyunki main..."

Suddenly Maithili stopped talking and looked down sadly.

Prinku" Kya hua didu, aap ruk Kyun gaye, aap Kya kahena chahte hai?"

Maithili smiled sadly and made Prinku sit next to her on her bed next to her.

Maithili "Prinku, kya tumhe Pata hai ki mera naam Maithili Kyun hai?"

Prinku nodded negatively.

Maithili" Kyunki main Oberoi khandaan ki 3rd generation ki pehli beti hoon. Aur Maithili, goddess Laxmi ka ek naam hai, kahte hai na ki larki dusre ghar ki laxmi hoti hai"

Prinku "Haan ye sach hai, par didu
sab ko Pata hai ki Shivaay, Om aur Rudra bhaiya apko Kabhi vida nahi karenge"

Said Prinku while giggling. Maithili smiled widely but it soon disappeared.

Maithili "Haan, Pata hai mujhe par..."

She stopped and stared at her brothers' painting. Prinku rested her head on her didu's shoulder and asked.

Prinku" par Kya didu?"

Maithili "par main ladki hoon Prinku, ek na ek din mujhe iss ghar Se jana padega, chahe Meri marzi Se ho ya na ho"

Their conversation ended their but neither Maithili nor Priyanka were aware of their brothers' presence outside her room. They had heard the whole conversion and were teared eyed.

ShivOmRu looked at each other and decided to make their sister(Meethi) feel like princess that she always was.

Time skip*next morning*

Maithili woke up from her bed, she took off the blanket off her face and stretched while smiling widely. She turned to her left expecting to see Prinku there as they were talking all night and slept together(I mean on the same bed).

She looked around her room and smiled sadly as she remember her new teacher at her college's lecture on being a woman. That woman lecture was still on Maithili's mind and was eating her alive.

Maithili wished that she could turn back time to skip that woman's lecture. Everything was okay before it but now, she kinda wished she was a man. Maithili shook her head and said scolding herself.

Maithili "What in the world girl. Tum Maithili ho, Maithili Singh Oberoi. Tum champ ho college ki, yaha tak to Mrs Card(Tia) bhi tumhe 'you go girl' kehti hai. Aur to aur Prinku aur Rudy pe Kya asar(affect) hoga, no way Maithili be strong."

She then stood up and walked to her big picture on her wall which hid her body length mirror. She pressed her thumb on the hidden button which revealed a mirror. She stared at herself shyly but it then turned into a a slightly confident expression.

Maithili "tum Maithili ho, Maithili Singh Oberoi. Kanji akhon wale Billu aur zulfi Singh Oberoi ki choti behen, jiske akhon bhi kanji hai par Shivaay Se bohut kam"

Maithili kept debating with her head and heart. Unknown to her that ShivOmRuPri were listening to her every word. Rudra was hiding his laughter while ShivOmPri were wondering what had happened to their sister that she was in this current state.

Rudra finally couldn't stop himself and stared laughing out load which went unnoticed by Maithili. ShivOmPri managed to calm Rudra down and sighed out of relief and dragged their brother far from Maithili.

Maithili "...wait a sec, I'm I forgetting something. Mujhe Kyun yad nahi a raha hai, soch Meethi soch"

She kept tapping her chin attempting to remember what she forgot but failed.

Maithili "never mind, baad main yad kar dongi"

She then climbed up her room's special stairs which lead to her walk in closet. She selected her outfit and showered.

Time skip*at the breakfast table*

Maithili climbed down the main stairs of the OM(OBEROI mansion) to the dining table and saw her parents, bade papa, badimaa, dadi but her siblings were missing.

Maithili " morning everyone"

everyone except her siblings who were not present " good morning lado!"

Maithili "guys, ShivOmRuPri kaha hai"

Everyone stayed silent, suddenly the lights went out and a spotlight appeared in the middle of the hall which was the whole living room and dining room. There was paintings with Omkara's mark on then, they were Maithili's portrays.

ShivOmRuPri stood near the paintings as Maithili admired her bhaiya's work. They smiled at each other, they turned to Maithili and started narrating.

Shivaay "on this faithful day 24 years ago, iss parivaar ki lado peida hui(took birth)"

Om "sabse pyaari thi wo, ek nanhi pari hai wo"

Rudra "chahe kitni badi ho jaye, didi humari pyaari rahegi"

Prinku "Kyunki didu hai shayeri ki deewani aur wo hai hume pyaari "

Maithili was surprised yet happy because she finally remembered what she forgot. She smiled widely as the elders continued.

Shakti "hai wo Meri choti beti, par hai wo garv humari"

Tejvi "bhatiji(niece) hai humari sabse ladhli"

dadi "par(but) poti hai wo humari, ladhli si Maithili"

Maithili was teared eyed as she walked in the middle of the hall where her whole family was. Pinky then came pushing a trolley with a 3 floor delicious homemade ice cream cake which was Meethi's favourite. Pinky smiled at her daughter but it soon disappeared.

ShivOmRuPri took charge of the trolley and they all said happily.

"surprise, HAPPY BIRTHDAY Maithili!!!"

Maithili smiled widely and hugged her siblings.

Maithili "Shivaay, bhaiya(Om), Rudy, Prinku and everyone. Thank you, you guys are the best"

dadi "are lado, parivaar Se thank you bolegi tu aur kyun"

Maithili "dadi wo zarasal main wo, umm bhool gayi thi ki aj mera birthday hai"

Everyone "*gasped*, kya?!!"

Maithili looked down embarrassed as she was so busy in her college and office work that she had forgotten her own birthday.

dadi " dekha tum teeno nai"

Said dadi while scolding Tej, Shakti and Shivaay.

Tejshakaay(Tej, Shakti and Shivaay)" par humne Kya kia?"

dadi "acha, tum teeno nai Kya kia? oye khoteyon, tum teeno ne use Apne homework ke baad chain(peace) ki saans lene di kya? are badi beti hai wo iss ghar ki, par iska ye matlab nahi ki tum teeno usko kaam par kaam do ki wo apna hi birthday bhool jaye"

Tejshakaay "sorry maa/dadi"

They said apologising. Maithili then said in a guilty yet playful voice while hugging her dadi from the back.

Maithili " Meri pyaari dadi, rehne dijiye na. waise hi, office ka kaam to mere left hand ka khel hai"

Tejshakaay" Haan, that's absolutely right"

They all shared a laugh.

Om "okay businessmen.."

Maithili cleared her throat.

Om "and woman. business ko office main rehne dijiye aur birthday girl ko apna cake katne dijiye"

Rudra "well said O, aap mere sath rehte rehte smart hone lager hai"

Everyone rolled their eyes as Rudra did the logic wala sign.

Shivaay "okay now lado, candles blow karke wish karna aur apna cake kato"

Prinku "par bhaiya, candles nahi hai cake pe"

Suddenly, Anika entered the living room with Somya.

Somya "SORRY everyone, candles mere paas hai"

Everyone sighed out of relief, Somya placed the 'birthday girl' candle on the upper cake and lid it.
Somya hugged Maithili and wished her while lighting the candles.

Somya " come on birthday girl, blow and wish"

Just as the Oberois and Somya were singing 'happy birthday to you', Maithili interrupted them and went to Anika who was about to leave.

Maithili "Anika di, ap ja rahe ho? mere party ke end Se pehle hi ja rahe ho?"

Anika "wo Sahil ghar pe akela hai to Mujhe jana chahiye. Aur haan, happy khidkitod birthday to you"

Maithili "thanks Anika di, par please aj birthday girl ki baat apko sunni hi badegi. Right everyone"

Everyone nodded.

Maithili dragged Anika to her cake and cut it. Everyone was singing 'happy birthday' Meethi/didi/didu while she blew the candles and kept cutting the cake. Maithili went to Shivaay first but stopped and asked permission from her elders brothers by eye contact.

They agreed.

Prinku "Didu ap..."

Maithili cut off Prinku by feeding her the cake first.

Maithili "chalo khao, ab to main tumhe hi pehli chilaungi"

Prinku tried to object only to get feed another piece of cake. Everyone laughed at them, next Maithili feed Shivaay then Om, Rudy. Then dadi, Shakti, Tej, Jhanvi and she gave Pinky a piece of cake on a plate.

Anika was smiling watching everyone happy, she felt out of place. Suddenly, Maithili came and feed Anika, everyone laughed.

Maithili "cake kaisi hai didi"

Anika "ghood*chewing on the cake"

Shivaay was about to scold Anika about not eating with a full mouth but stopped due to not wanting to upset Meethi on her birthday.

Anika "thanks everyone, par Mujhe jana padega"

Maithili stopped Anika again and gave her a Tupperware(small plastic container) with a slightly large piece of cake in it.

Maithili "ye Sahil aur apke liye, aur chotu ko Meri taraf Se SORRY boliyega"

Anika "Haan bol dungi, varna wo to jwala mukhi(volcano) Se kam nahi hai"

Anika turned to leave when she remembered something.

Anika "oh bet ki, main to bhool hi gayi thi"

Anika searched her bag and took out a small box and gave it to Maithili.

Anika "happy birthday again Meethi, Mujhe Pata hai ki ye zyada nahi hai par please accept kar Lena Meri aur Sahil ki taraf se"

Maithili hesitated but took it as Anika was insisting, dadi and badimaa too insisted. Maithili took it and opened it, it was a ring bracelet same as Anika's but it had stars on it. Maithili smiled and thanked Anika, she wore it and promised to never take it off.

Time skip(in Maithili's room)

Maithili and Prinku were in her walk in closet while ShivOmRu were helping servants from carrying countless gifts for Maithili from many friends, business partners and others on a table near the stair case. That night, the Oberois had organized a party for their lado.

Meanwhile in Maithili's closet

Somya entered Maithili's closet and saw Prinku helping her didu picking the perfect birthday girl dress.

Somya "Didi,Prinku ap dono Tayar nahi hue"

Prinku "nahi somu, Kyunki didu ko perfect dress nahi mil rahi hai. humhara help karo na"

Time skip(the party had already started )

Tejvi were greeting guests, shaky(Shakti and Pinky) were talking to guests and dadi was sitting on a throne like chair while waiting for Meepriya(Maithili, Priyanka and Somya) to arrive.

ShivOmRu were outside Maithili's walk in closet while Somya and Priyanka were guarding Maithili's changing room's door.

Time skip(down stairs)

The party was on and everyone was having fun...more or less as much as someone can have fun at a boring rich people party. Somya and Priyanka rushed down the stairs and went to the elders informing them that ShivOmThiRu were coming.

Suddenly, the light dimmed and a spotlight went on the stairs, there came ShivOmRu followed by Maithili. Everyone were staring at her as she was the most beautiful girl in the mansion. Meethi held one of OmRu's hands and stepped down the last step.

The lights went back to normal and Shivaay was seen standing in middle of the hall with a mike in his hands.

Shivaay "Good evening ladies and gentlemen and thanks for coming for my little sister's birthday party. well of course Maithili ko to kaun nahi janta, punching bags Se zyada wo deals score karti hai*lets out a little laugh*"

Everyone smiled, some nicely and other's out of jealousy. Shivaay continued.

Shivaay "Pata hai, agar yeh teeno nahi hote to main adhura rah jata. Jaise ki OmThi apne art and boxing ke bina, jaise ki Rudra Apne protein shake ke bina*everyone laugh* jaise hi main tum teeno ke bina adhura rah jata"

ShivOmThiRu got teared eyed.

He said cheekily. Maithili took the mike and dragged priYa(Prinku, Somya) with her in the middle of the hall.

Maithili "good evening everyone, thanks for coming main aur mera parivaar apko thank karte hai yaha ane ke liye."

Suddenly Maithili said.

Maithili "ok, boring speeches khatam ho gaye so... let's party"

ShivOmRu were surprised and had a amused smiled on their faces. MeePriYa started dancing followed by everyone in the room.

Everyone were having fun in the room while someone stood in a black room somewhere watching the scene. She smiled wickedly and said evily.
