He did not want to stoop to her level But he wanted her to stop harassing him. He went ahead...apologized.. tried to be well behaved and loving toward her with the SOLE intention of making her regret what evil things she had done to him.

If people can't even take this much and expect Vikas to build a temple of Shilpa and worship her day and night, and at the same time never hold Shilpa accountable for her nemrous mistakes, then this show is not for you.

Matlab all that Shilpa did - the harassment, the vile accusations - is well and good because it's danke ki chot pe - no matter that it's very likely that the hate is entirely misdirected. But if Vikas tries to extricate himself from that without abuse and harassment and shitty allegations, he's disgusting? This guy clearly can't win. And Shilpa is apparently a saint who can do no wrong.
