'We are a God blessed couple': Hiten
Hiten Tejwani and Gauri Pradhan won the best on-screen couple award at the recently held Global Indian TV Hounours. This was the 7th time that the duo has won the award. We tried to find out what it is that makes them click.
"Every year people want to vote us as the best couple. They like to see us together on screen and that is why they selected us this year as well," feels Hiten.
On being probed further, he adds, "Our compatibility is great. I cannot explain it in words but we love the support and appreciation the audience gives us. Whenever we go out people compliment us for being a good couple."
Hiten says he and Gauri don't have to try hard to look like a good couple because their chemistry is natural. "We are a God blessed couple and it shows on screen. Thus, we do not have to work hard to build our rapport. It is just there whenever we do any scene," he comments.
Hiten's brother Hitesh, who is also a director of Kyunki, reveals, "People love them since the Kutumb days. In all these 7 years the love has not decreased one bit. In fact, when they entered Kyunki, the TRPs shot up. We still get so many letters and calls from their fans requesting us to bring them together in the show. Their chemistry is amazing. They never require retakes and glycerin for emotional scenes. During the shoot I never ever have to explain any scene to them. They rehearse every scene before the shoot and give it the best shot. Their mutual understanding and timing is perfect."
According to Hitesh, there are three things that make them click. "Firstly, they are dedicated to whatever they do. Secondly, they are disciplined and lastly they are very involved in their work and relation," he says.
Ironically, in Kyunki, the couple is currently shown having differences. We wish for the fans' sake Hiten – Gauri will be together again…on screen.
