I really liked most of the Shivika scenes today. I felt that return of the "ends justifies the means" Shivaay today, the one who coldly makes decisions that benefit him and his family at the drop of a hat. Whereas Anika was clearly asking about the issue of consent - just because Gauri is marrying another guy and you've run out of options, the best decision is to just blindly kidnap her? Ultimately Anika's point still stands...what about Gauri's consent in this hoopla? And as a connection, what about Anika's consent to the forced marriage? I felt this was a nice way to segue to the elephant in the room, Shivika's forced marriage. It's been long overdue and it looks like Shivika are finally ready to discuss it. The only part I didn't like was the comedy that happened right after (that's just me), but everything else was spot on😆

Om and Gauri were cute today😆 Especially Om who was totally flabbergasted that Gauri was totally ok with the kidnapping...poor guy was so nervous😆. But I do like the episodes where Om and Gauri talk to each other one-on-one (such as the days when he was explaining what "inspiration" was for his artwork), so I'm curious to see how their relationship turns out as well.

Haha CG.. I agree with most of your points.. 😆 but I really don't understand why do you want them to discuss the forced wedding again?? Sorry it's my opinion.. but this thing has been bugging me all day.. people talking about the forced wedding.. 😕 Shivaay has repented and has felt guilty enough for what he had done.. and I really don't think Anika ever wants to remember that day ever.. both of them don't.. Shivaay doesn't think what he did was right anymore.. and he has apologised for it profusely.. and has made up for it too..

So for me this conversation between Shivika was more about what was right.. both had their points, both were right in their own pov and both had their hearts in the right place.. they were worried for Om and Gauri that's it.. but both have their individual thought processes and are strong individuals..

IMO Anika calling on Shivaay for going about the wrong means to justify his ends didn't have anything to do with what she went through during the forced wedding.. the 2 situations were completely different and there is no comparison.. that was a horror that ShivIka went through.. they weren't "In Love" then.. and what Shivaay did was a sin.. and he has suffered for that..both have.. and they have come way past those days.. just think in reality.. would anybody ever want to relive that or think about that.. I really don't think the forced wedding would ever come up in her mind after everything that they have been through together.. not now not ever.. both have made mistakes in their past.. and that is where the past will remain..

Today's situation was very different and Anika was just behaving like the partner she should.. by calling him out she was being the inner voice he needs to remind him when he is wrong.. even if his heart is in the right place.. this is a part of their relationship.. both compliment each other and are not afraid to say that the other is wrong..

Sorry.. just wanted to give my opinion! 😆

P.S. I loved Rikara parts too.. they are finally getting a some proper meat too and Im loving their cute comedy too! 😆

If they continue to do this well.. involve the whole family with a well rounded story.. each character playing their parts.. the show will continue to pick up too as the half hour slots will now be good enough for a good story to play out.. 😆

Here's a happy post and really hoping that HS is off her weed now and continues to write such episodes..!! 😆

Mavvyyy!

I never thought it that way with Shivaay and Gauri being the similars in their respective relationships, but this makes so much sense. Om is too seedha-saadha for the most part, so of course the little chiraiya has to do all the hard work😆😆

The 1.8 definitely leans towards the more optimistic-sign. If they can formulate an engaging storyline for the trp audience with the 1/2 hr time slot (you never know with Gul and co😆), then the show may still have some legs to it. Definitely curious to see how this trends in the next few weeks😆

i enjoyed the epi too - it had a good mix of everything and all emotions for both shivika and rikara. btw fantastic write up - the last bit of shivika fight made more sense to me after reading ur post 🤗 It was a debate about who was right and that is how most partnerships and relationships vibrate. There has to be the yin and yang - the pull and push for that relationship to be alive and growing ... ShivIka has always been like that - The QuickSilver couple that is always moving and shifting yet holding together and reflecting off each other

I enjoyed the episode too though I dont understand why they had to hide Gauri! Because they had not brought Gauri of her own free will. They had no idea how she would react and how angry she would be when she gained consciousness. They had no idea of Ajay's intentions or Gauri's for that matter (her planning to run away). So as far as they were concerned they had done something wrong
Like Annika said - Gauri ko uthakar ghar lekar ayee- usey ghar nahi laye
the example of the 'sabzi from the market' was very apt I felt. She was upset that Gauri was being treated as a possession not a person

Best dialog by Rudy to Om's question of whatnext to do - ransom after kidnap! Lol! oh! man I was in splits .. at his dialogue and at Om's reaction ... 🤣 🤣

Regarding the forced wedding, I don't really...I couldn't care less😆 To me I think the same that Shivaay pretty much has done the work since then to make up for it, so an apology this far out seems totally silly. I can agree with your take on the episode, that this is more them remaining their individual selves when dealing with this situation. And learning to stand their ground in situations where they don't agree.

I just know off-camera, they have been getting a lot of complaints on how the forced wedding angle has never been addressed. So my mind when I saw Anika's dialogues today automatically went to that...that writers are addressing those complaints, and "closing" that arc, in spite of being so late in the game😆

Finally a post about the actual episode😆 Yes CG ... I only write about what has happened because that is the safest thing to write in the IB world ...lol

I really liked most of the Shivika scenes today. I felt that return of the "ends justifies the means" Shivaay today, the one who coldly makes decisions that benefit him and his family at the drop of a hat. Oh! Yeah for sure. He was out in full glory today and Gauri thanking him for the rescue put a few extra feathers in the man's hat. Me thinks she may have overheard Annika reprimanding the boys and decided to step in to do damage control ...lol 😉

Whereas Anika was clearly asking about the issue of consent - just because Gauri is marrying another guy and you've run out of options, the best decision is to just blindly kidnap her? Ultimately Anika's point still stands...what about Gauri's consent in this hoopla? Yes... and that was the whole basis of her argument whereas Shivvay's basis was that he knew the two were right for each other and pining for each other so he intervened and fixed the problem. Shivvay the OM Fixer as we call him. 😆 He does not care what it takes or what price his soul has to pay for making his Family happy and keeping them safe - his opinion is that the ends justifies the means

And as a connection, what about Anika's consent to the forced marriage? I felt this was a nice way to segue to the elephant in the room, Shivika's forced marriage. It's been long overdue and it looks like Shivika are finally ready to discuss it. The only part I didn't like was the comedy that happened right after (that's just me), but everything else was spot on😆
There does not lie that issue anymore I feel because he did make the effort, twice, to rectify that wrong done to her. Both his gestures were grand when he planned the marriage her way so it might bring a distaste to their mouths when such situations arise, because yes it is not erased completely, but I think they both have put that dark day behind them.
That Shivvay and Annika are very different from this Shivvay and Annika today. They have walked miles and miles together now

Om and Gauri were cute today😆 Especially Om who was totally flabbergasted that Gauri was totally ok with the kidnapping...poor guy was so nervous😆. But I do like the episodes where Om and Gauri talk to each other one-on-one (such as the days when he was explaining what "inspiration" was for his artwork), so I'm curious to see how their relationship turns out as well It will be wonderful to watch as Om has to discover Gauri now. His blind prejudice always prevented him from enjoying his status as her husband. That has now been rectified and Gauri is now a fair and willing game ...lol 😉😆

LOVED YOUR ANALYSIS PEARL..!!! 🤗

I for one am finally enjoying the episodes.. this is the IB I have always loved.. The one where each character is playing his or her part fantastically.. ShivIka re-visited the old Billu Ki Shadi hogi days imo!! 😆 Yes ... I too was reminded of that ShivIka ...lol 😆

The clash of the titans for sure..😆 they truly are a "takkar ki jodi".. I love the comfort level they show for Shivika these days.. so totally married vibes from them.. the eldest couple who have lived through all the hardships.. know each other very well.. accept each others quirks and step up to call each other out when one is wrong..and being the eldest in the family.. they know how to take care of the rest of their family too..making decisions and resolving issues.. a perfect married couple..😆 Absolutely!!! This is what I was waiting for. They everyday couple with everyday ,marriage issues, dealing with differences of opinion and thoughts.

I love the way these characters are characterized.. We have discussed this before on one of your posts.. 😃 Anika is so similar to Om in the righteousness area.. what is wrong is wrong no matter what the intentions were.. this is their way of looking at life.. and both of them have made some serious mistakes trying to be over righteous imo.. 😆 They look at the world as right or wrong.. while Shivaay believes in the "end justifies the means" motto.. he will go to any means for his family.. And Gauri definitely understands that.. she is a lot like that too.. even she believes that "ghee jab seedhi ungli se naa nikle toh ungli tedhi karni padhti hai.." 😉 Oh! yes totally. I knew that just as Shivvay fell for the OmRu female version, Om would fall for the ShivRu and Rudy for the ShivKara female version. It was a given from the start.
All the girls share the brothers characteristics and that is exactly what attracts their other half to them. Gauri is Shivvay as far as the grey goes only to a certain extent of course. She did however stab Kali which I feel takes a lot of courage and grit for a girl as straight as her. But she did without a second thought and that is the grey I see in Gauri. She is willing to take that extra step to safeguard herself or her family.
It is a good thing imo as Om's partner because that is where Om would hesitate.

I loved each and every conversation today.. Shivika arguments.. Anika scolding OmRu and expecting more from them while OmRu feeling guilty was brilliant! 😆 And Gauri changed the entire scene by not being angry and not minding the way she was brought home.. I definitely applaud the writers for bringing out these intricacies in the characters.. 😃

Each couple has unique characteristics and all of them compliment each other.. Anika and Om get carried away trying to be the sacrificial lambs while Shivaay and Gauri bring them back to the real world trying to show that the world doesn't work on the ideal rules.. on the other hand AniOm act as ShivRi's conscience too so that they don't go overboard.. Rudy is such a mix AniRi while Bhavya is a mix of ShivKara.. 😃
The rest is word. We have discussed this before and I know we are in agreement to the way the partners are set in IB 😃

If they continue to do this well.. involve the whole family with a well rounded story.. each character playing their parts.. the show will continue to pick up too as the half hour slots will now be good enough for a good story to play out.. 😆 Absolutely and there is so much that can be done with that itself.

Here's a happy post and really hoping that HS is off her weed now and continues to write such episodes..!! 😆 This part has me in splits ... and yes Amen to that sista 😆

Lol..that I totally get..As I said HS seems to be off her weeds these days.. so I wouldn't be surprised if she does address this.. 😆 I was just so bugged to read the same thing on twitter and here since morning that I felt like posting my opinion on the topic.. and found your post to do the same😆 😆.. Its such an old thing that I really feel Anika and the audience need to forget about it.. Our Billu has come so far since then..! 😃😆
