What did I just witness today? The IB I had been waiting for? Has IB actually begun or am I being too optimistic here. I remember making this post not too long ago My letter to the writer : IB - A story of 3 brothers it is NOT and today I am glad to make this one.
Clash of the Titans: A regular and everyday ShivIka? ❤️
Meeting of the Equals: A normal and seeking balance Rikara? ❤️
Witnesses by the Hopeful: And a waiting on the sidelines to begin, RuvYa?❤️
Clash of the Titans: ShivIka
Lets being with ShivIka as I am biased towards them as a fan..lol
And just to be clear my post is not about either being wrong or right. They are both right as per their characters and how they flow. This is about them finding their levels in this new marital relationship and the balance of power. This is about the older Oberoi pair and them understanding that they will make decisions on behalf of the Family and sometimes not agree on them. This is about ShivIka truly understanding the hurdles and the everyday battles that come with being married to a strong individual.
This is the true challenge and fight for not only respecting your marriage/ partnership but while doing so making sure you are holding on to your individuality and your identity. This is about disagreeing respectfully and finding a middle ground which is more difficult that fighting Vamps and Villains, trust me.
Annika:"Sahi lagney mein aur Sahi honey mein, Shivvay bahut farak hota hai' and "Aap ussey wapas nahi laye hai. Aap ussey utha kar leker ayee hai and "Aapka Irada galat nahi tha, lekin aap ka tareka galat tha"
And that is Annika right there. She is the splitting image of Om in these matters. The Om half of Annika. The righteous Annika, the 'two wrongs do not make a right Annika', the 'just because it feels right does not make it right' Annika and the,' I love you but hold my own opinion in these matters' Annika.
And then she appeals to the man she holds in the highest respect for his sense of right and wrong since "Shivvay jaisey hai waisey hai, magar tum toh samajdar ho' while Rudy baby is feeling the pull between his Shivvay and Om self in the back there 🤣🤣
He looks like Annika is lecturing him not Om 😆😆
"Aadmi bazar sey sabzi bhi lene jata hai toh izzat say tokri mein lekar aata hai" was where Rudy looked more uncomfortable than Om, fully aware that Bhabhi was capable of turning to him with a lecture soon.😳
Shivvay: "Kabhi kabhi galat ko rokney key liye galat karna padta hai" and "Mainey jo kiya usey galat ko roka hai" and "Aab toh tum maan gayee na, main ney jo kiya who sahi tha"
And that is Shivvay right there. The ends justifies the means' kinda guy, the' I did what I judged as right at that time' kinda guy and the I make decisions and expect all to fall into line adhering to them' kinda guy.
He is opposed for this by people like Annika, Om and to a certain extent Bhavya, but this exactly what makes people like Annika, Om, and Bhavya, vulnerable to devious and deceitful people. They always fight fair but they forget the world does not always play by the rules. That is where Shivvay, Gauri and Rudy step in. They have no qualms about breaking rules to serve a greater purpose and to an extent they are right.
To Shivvay his decision has always been unquestioned till Annika stepped into his life. His actions never needed justification. His word was never challenged by any and that did lead to him making a few bad ones in the bargain. (Tia, forced marriage etc)
He has his heart in the right place when he makes these decisions for his family and the fact that these can hurt or harm others never crosses his mind. That is where Annika steps in into this relationship. Anything that is uncontrolled is a danger not just to themselves but to others as well. Complete power corrupts the soul and sensibilities and clouds the rational mind.
The Shivika argument and debate that follows was a treat to watch because this for me is the true relationship and marriage between equals. The spectators enjoying themselves and rooting for their favourite Titan was a hoot. Bhabhi's chamcha's were very smartly and subtly on Team Annika' while the devrani's were getting a taste of what was in store for their Bhaiya in the near future. We get to see a Team Shivvay' forming in the back there with Gauri and Bhavya rooting for Shivvay in the near future, albeit subtly ...lol
Shivvay listing all the reasons for his anger was so bang on. That was what always bothered him right from day one. Annika never conformed to his idea of just a middle class girl, a mere helpless woman, an obedient wife and an easy to live with partner ...lol
My favourite part was the very smoothly sliding in of the' sau-hazar kami' that was summed up with her description of his SSO-giri, "Inka funda toh alag hai. Don't say why?... just say Shivvay ... lol 🤣🤣
The if you can throw a tantrum or phone I can throw a bigger one kinda response a real wife would give 😆 was the icing on the cake
Meeting of the Equals: Rikara ❤️
Gauri: She felt lesser than him, she felt unworthy of him and she felt like she needed to work on herself to make her more deserving of him. She was on a path to prove her worth and clear the image he had burned in his mind about her promiscuity for eternity and she felt she had failed miserably because how does one fight blind prejudices and erase them?
But was that what SHE felt or was that what HE made her feel?
There is a vast difference between the two and no one better than Annika got that. Their conversation in the car would prove to be an eye opener in the last meeting with her Omkaraji.
Gauri had never felt and will never feel the need to prove herself to anyone ever again because that is who Gauri was and is. She is good enough for herself and is superior in her own eyes. It was the constant battering that had brought her to her knees in the end and she threw in the towel realizing that this was a futile exercise of the man was ruled by blind prejudice not the need to see the truth.
No amount of change, no amount of trial by fire and no amount of proving ones worth is capable of winning a person's love, respect and loyalty. That has to be given freely to a person for being who they are IF the other person truly and completely loves them.
Omkara: The Om who as constantly seeking the truth was locked away somewhere and the Judge, Jury and Hangman' had taken his place. He no longer wanted to see the truth - He only wanted to see HIS VERSION of the truth because that is what he had always witnessed from the time he was a little boy. So when the real TRUTH presented itself he slammed the door on its face because it was not HIS VERSION of the truth about what could happen in his life.
He refused to see that he too could have happiness, love and loyalty. He refused to accept that lady fortune could smile even upon him. He refused to accept that he too could be given the gift of a Happy Ever After'. That he too had equal rights over the good things' in life.
RiKara: But that balance has been restored now. That equation has been worked out. That TRUTH is now being accepted by him and he is adjusting to the fact that good things' can come his way as well. He is willing to open his heart and give it into Gauri's keeping because she being herself won the battle for them both. Today was the meeting of the two equals and the working out of that equation in the physical and emotional term is going to be a pleasure to watch
Witnesses by the Hopeful: RuvYa ❤️
RuvYa: What can I say about this pair that has not even started yet. I am hoping with the older two settled they can focus a bit on the dynamics of this one that is interesting by themselves. Hence the colour Green for them ...lol 😆😆
They are still in the baby stages of what they need to work on. They early years of where they have not even decided if they are going to do something about their feelings for the other or not.
Both busy with Badey Bhaiya and Om Bhaiya where they have no time to work on their own issues. But now that both the older ones have found that they want to work on their marriages maybe these two will be forced to address the 'Elephant in the room' so to speak 😉
