I didn't follow the previous pages, will do so later on... but I wish there were more movies focusing heavily on friendships.

And mentor-student relationships too.. purely platonic type..

And, a story on unconsummated yet deep relationship between monk and a girl! Or nun and a man.. I so badly want a movie made on this and if there already is one, then please do tell..

Bollywood has had a few like Dil Chahta Hain, Angry Indian Goddesses, Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara, 3 Idiots but nowhere compared to how prolific Hollywood is with friendships especially that it caters to female friendships as well - Stand by me, Goonies, Sisterhood of Traveling Pants, Pitch Perfect, Mean Girls, Bring it On, Bridesmaids

I can only think of Black in Bollywood to some extent Mohabattein

Hollywood - Dead Poets Society, Good Will Hunting, Karate Kid, Remember the Titans, Coach Carter, Million Dollar Baby. And while it was not the focus of the movie - Haymitch and Katniss had a wonderfully developed mentor-student relationship.

This is a tough one. I first thought of Thornbirds, but that is a consummated relationship. Priest is another movie that comes to mind. The closet I can think of unconsummated is in Angels and Demons where The Pope had fallen in love as a young priest and chose father a child through in-vitro fertilization to keep his vows of celibacy.
