I had never seen the show beyond promos before. Now I might check it out.

House was amazing. BTW, another show called The Good Doctor has just started airing on ABC. You can watch it online. I like it, though it has the medical version of Rajnikanth moments/stunts.

Munna bhai was awful if considered to be a doctor centric movie.

Otherwise it was a fun movie

The only good movie that I can think of is Munna Bhai MBBS I so wish they made more such movies. But I think the reason why they are not made very frequently is because it's not easy to do justice to it. Such movies if made authentically would require a lot of reasearch and knowledge about the medical profession to do justice to the theme or else it will fall flat the audience today is not so stupid to not question anything out of place or illogical in it. It's not easy to make a Grey's Anatomy or House even the tv shows like DMG or Sanjeevani were more like lovestories than actually about the medical cases you can't expect to learn anything from them while House is a must watch show for every medical student out there so so helpful even more than your textbooks

And oh, yeah. Celebs like Aamir Khan telling the audience how doctors are evil. Quacks promising cures without vaccines, without medicines. Then, getting beat up by families when they find out that, despite the best efforts of the hospital staff, life does come with an expiry date.

@Bold- literally the bane of every med students existance!!!!

@ Red- yeah I love when people with degrees from god knows where teach the world about science and medicine because they obviously know oh so much -.-

those books still give me nightmaress hahah!!!

If they don't show lead as doctors, then you have problem. If they show, then also then also you are having problem 😆.

Bollywood movies can show only romance and action. Accept it.

If you want the lead as a doctor, accept a Dr. Sharukh Khan spreading his arms or Dr. Salman Khan fighting goons involved in Kidney racket. Is it too much to take? Thank god that your leads are not doctors.

Gone are the seventies movies, where leads (I have seen some Amitabh movies) used to have some professional jobs (professors etc).

In 80s Amitabh/Mithun/Govinda movies, heroes were coolies, street dancers.

90s boys had petty jobs compared to rich villain (Yes Boss, Raja Hindustani).

Late 90s, early 2000s, they became NRIs.

Now nobody knows, what they do for living. Either they have rich dad, or they are rock stars. But no one has to work like us.
