Do you think arijit is the next Sonu Nigam?

So a lot of my friends or aqaintances have been saying that arijit is the greatest singer ever produced in the history of India. They are also saying that arijit is better than KIshore Kumar also, forget sonu nigam. This poll is made with the sole intention of asking you if u think that arijit can be compared to Sonu in terms of range, vocal control, voice modulations, expressions, voice technique..? I just want to know if you guys do feel that arijit is one of the greatest singers India has ever produced? Is he an all time great?

I'm not trying to compare Sonu with arijit because I know they belong to different eras, but do you think arijit is the next sonu nigam??

SM is harsh and often hurts skin deep. I hurt myself too at things and comments which are uncalled for. Its better to ignore these or not go to such places for reading. I never can understand why do people have to try to bring another star/legend/achiever down unnecessarily in order to praise their own. As for Arijit and Sonu, nopes, first Arijit is the best of this era. But to compare him with legends like Kishore Kumar especially and even Sonu is a mistake. I have seen videos and all of Kishore kumar singing live, even Mohd.rafi. They were really legends, no difference in playback and live. Same with sonu, he sings effortlessly every genre. just like if people will compare Sonu with Kishore & Mohd.Rafi, it will be a mistake, same way comparing Arijit with his seniors too will be a mistake. I'd say they all have their own place, they all left their own mark. should leave at there.

Thanks for the post. I really needed it. Yes everyone have their own space and of course everyone have their own favourites, but arijit and Sonu even though belong to different era are still singing. So I feel sad that just because nowadays sonu is not singing the songs that he usually did, people think that arijit is greater than all past singers because he has made them berozgar. I also feel sad that people have forgotten the 10000 song legacy that Sonu has left behind. That's why this poll was made by me. I just needed to know that there are people like me who still miss that voice and those songs..
