Hammie's Impression's ep 68~4.10.17. A pair of sitting ducks!
Sitting ducks are easy targets due to their vulnerability.The term alludes to the fact that the ducks wait oblivious and unsuspectingly for their doom. The term also suggests the ease with which the hunter can take a shot at them due to the situation of their placement. Today's episode to me is about two characters Advay and Chandni.. as two sittings ducks placed on their familial fences. The hunters out to get them are their respective family members about whom Chandni and Advay are unaware, they will sneakily hurl them both to adversity. Alas! Both Chandni and Advay have been wronged by key members of their own households. Members who are elders and held in high esteem by both Chandni and Advay. Unfortunate for them both remain blind to betrayal being angled at them. Seen as the younger generation in need of guidance by the elders, leaves both Chandni and Advay in a vulnerable position for being duped!right in their own home ground arenas.. their belief that family members are not destroyers but supporters will prove their misjudgement .. who can one trust? if not your own kind?
Elders can diffuse charged situations ,and steer the younger generation towards the path of forgiveness. Maasi, though whips up Advay and churns his emotions to glean the effect she desires. Reminds him Chandni is his parents killers daughter!Oust Chandni out of the house! Advay has mellowed in his stance towards Chandni, but Maasi deters him from making peace with Chandni. Maasi in fact constantly influences him into seeking further revenge from Chandni. The sari stain he points out on Maasi.. is cunningly used by his loved one to manipulate his emotions. Massi refers to Chandni as a blemish upon his life.. she means Chandni being an unwed mother! A testimony regards her ill repute! which is bound to reflect on his clean image and their family! She urges Advay to do away with the stain before Chandni blotches and tarnishes the family name completely. Advay takes Maasi's advice, as already his position weakens due Chandni's reputation.. he falls prey to Maasi's demands.. packs her stuff! The snow storm globe with the dancing figurines . Chandni's face, her words come back to him, you gave me this Dev, a memory of our childhood. Advay grimly looks at the mended globe .. he wanted to keep their bond! But Maasi's reminder of not succumbing to Chandni's whims, forces him to reluctantly leave the glass orb for Chandni to take with her..visibly moved, he muses, see for yourself Chandni our bond remains.. dismembered .. a thing of the past. He puts it in her suitcase, puts the lid on their friendship memorabilia and locks it away! Yes! Chandni can take with her all the moments about the way they were.. once
Sitting duck.. targeted by Maasi.. Advay demands Chandni's appearance! Advay brings on a tough approach, not to create a rumpus but to tell his own heart and his ears he means business! Chandni has to leave right now! No more tolerating her. Maasi is pleased to see the works of inciting Advay! Chandni!
Here I am! She comes down the entrance steps into the lounge.. this is not a room of strangers. This is home, where her loved ones live. She shall not fear, for she comes to speak the truth and seek their pardon for herself and her family! For if she gets her forgiveness here, than the deities too will waver her families sins! Her face composed not giving much away.. with regretful stares Advay does note the sparkle of her eyes was amiss.. she effects him.. but he cannot go back on his decision !he has to avenge his Maa, babba and thus he has to give her up! for the sake of his family. Unafraid upheld only by the whole truth she walks towards him and stands before him. Her tearful eyes speak to his sullen hooded big bold black eyes.. Advay falls short of words, he knows if he opens his mouth, he will go to pieces. Gently he pushes her wheelie towards her. Wthout protest she grabs the handle and declares before all..I by my own free will am leaving. Many hearts are broken, and many eyes tear ridden! But Advay's betrayer not well wisher Maasi takes a sigh of relief at last this wicked girl leaves! Chandni continues, that before she leaves ,she has to do one last thing..
Police presence makes it all official .. Chandni returns Advay's family lost reverence and respectability. She's made it official in a FIA, that her parents are guilty of conspiring to murder Advay's parents.. police praises Chandni's co-operation in cracking this old pending police case. That on the basis of Chandni , Neeru , and Yash narayan.. Indrani is behind bars! Chandni looks up into Advay's eyes, folds her palms , forgive me.. if you can.. contrite and tearful she begs for forgiveness before Advay's parents photograph.. a daughter begs pardon for the transgressions of her parents.. and then it 's time to bid farewell to this house..to the loved ones who make it 's ethos..
Like a numb statue Advay watches her sluggish feet , wheel her baggage.. this is unreal.. so fast and brisk. Confession, justice, and her leaving? Incredible.. her heart too squeezes at every step she takes towards the entrance stairs.. her soul cries out! Rabba ve!! as images of child's play between her and Dev flash and weaken her! Advay wants time to stand still.. some one stop the stupid girl! some one! any one! Adi cries, begs her. don't go please I'll be a good boy mami...with her back to all she feels her chunni, tugged.. my heart knew Dev will stop his Chandni.. she revolves her head.. wishful thinking as Advay stands glued to where he was.. Advay pouts his lips to call out to Chandni... but yet again the hunter in his family shoots him down like a sitting duck.. Chandni continues with her exit.. many tearful pleas from Adi and shilpa reach her ears, make her eyes cloudy .. her feet will stop and turn only, if and when Dev calls out and stops her..
He does! Stops her from leaving, stares at her silently. Words are out of place. His palm closes on her fragile wrist, one pull and he yanks her before him.. did she think there's was only a brief encounter ? how easily did she assume it is over between them? Rabba ve.. we cannot say it was nice meeting you and call off our journey together? part ways as if there's is only a brief connection? did she think so?..only few moments together? He closes his arms around her and Chandni's, soul rests.. all the tempests now calm within her as she rests her palm on her beloved Dev's strong wide shoulders...she fails to sense him. Crestfallen she realizes..her Dev was only an empty space!! Hush! broken heart.. being together was only a moment or two in reality.. but for eternity Dev remains within her, like their black stone of friendship.. none can steal him from within her soul, Rabba ve..
Indrani ,Chandni face off in prison.. world of difference between the two. Yet consistent in their mindsets.. Chandni is inherently virtuous. Indrani is wickedness personified. She remains firm in her belief that she has no remorse over her actions..she was progressive in her approach! made good use of a golden opportunity by slaying Advay's family.. for her the end mattered not the means. Chandni suddenly loses all respect for this stubborn unrepentant woman.. whom she looked upon as her mother! Thank heavens! this she wolf never bore her.. but Chandni does shed a tear for herself..she never meant anything to Indrani except that she was just a sitting duck! betrayed by the term Maa... Maa.
Chandni gets from Megha.. the trusted love and care she needed in her emotionally disturbed condition..siblings bond as Chandni briefs Meghu about all that transpired ..yes she has walked out on Advay.. she can't bear to watch him suffer endlessly ,every time he sets eyes on her.. cannot be in the same house as him! so yes she will even move away from this place too.. after she finishes off one last pending task.. Meghu too knows she will have to do what she has to do! Reunite two souls meant for each other.. hamlet53 5.10.17
Another powerful episode. Shivani yet again gives a memorable performance.. Barun effortlessly responds and both give us such memorable scenes.. Ritu was hats off.. was waiting to see her.. well the final stain on Chandni's character is about to be rinsed off tomorrow.. nothing should stop Dev from claiming his Chandu..then.. Maasi like Inderani are two elders I wouldn't like to have in my family ! Gorgons!
