Watch today... the girl aspect was reinforced. I have only one question for Vikramaditya - DNA or no DNA test ,if you were an MCP and if the idea was to crown Avdhooth , you could have done it long back. If Satrupa said no to adoption , he could have adopted avdhooth and things would have been hunky dory. The old man is closed to Anami... maybe because of Satrupa and not because she is a girl ..he is only hiding behind the excuse ...

Actually royal families does have the practice of adoption. They do adopt some relatives and make them the heir too.

I think Vikram Adhitya has a hidden feeling about heir being male since ever. Might have been the reason Satrupa was so dedicated to keep Vatsalya with her and sacrificed Anami for his life. Even though she was supposed to send away Vatsalya, not Anami.

Makers might be trying to show the hypocrisy of ppl who are educated and progressive and advocate a lot in public, but when it comes to home they stick to such conservative gender discrimination ...

All said, I love Anami's response to all that ... do what ever you want but stop abusing her name :D indifference at its best :p

RKC is a show or rather only show where I love each of the characters and hate each of them too.

However, suddenly I have a feeling that the story is shifting to show Satrupa as a genuine mother to both Vatsalya and Anami. I mean they are justifying her character which was not required at all. She was wrong when she abandoned Anami. She cheated everyone. Let that be a mistake of her life.

It never was a story about male heir vs female heir. Vikram and Baldev refused to accept Anami because they believed it was Satrupa's plan to maintain her status and power in tge family. It was a fake daughter. Now, all of a sudden Satrupa is feeling hopeless about how she is just a guardian to Royal steel and everything she owns here is because she is Vatsalya's mother. Is this an accurate fact? I am asking this because Satrupa introduced Anam to Vikram and everyone by saying, ' Aap Nirvash nahi huye hai Papa'. The same thing was said by Guruji also. So, when did the makers realise that the khandan has a parampara of male heir inheriting everything? And if this Parampara cannot be challenged then how come Baldev never became the heir? Clearly, the rule of succession was changed then. Why did Guruji think Anami being a girl will be accepted as the heir when the Parampara of LM is otherwise? He was the one who reminded satrupa about Anami.

The day she delivered the twins she had three options

1) keep both of them- which she could not choose because Guruji's prophecy about delivering twins again had come true. She had to give away the eldest of the two to keep her children safe and alive.

2) giving away Vatsalya and keeping Anami- which now seems to be an impossible option after male heir vs female heir twist. Anami would have lived like a princess and both the siblings wpuld have been alive but despite the super sacrifice of givig away Vatsalya, Anami would leave empty handed and probably Avdhoot would have taken over as the heir.

3) giving away Anamj and keeping Vatsalya- which she finally did because she thought this is the only way to save her children, give them a better life and let the original heir take the throne. It seemed to be a better option because at least one of the child would inherit what is rightfully his.It was a win win situation for her until vatsalya died.

This way they are justifying Satrupa's character. Who else feels the same way?

@bold: you have said everything I have been trying to say..the problem used to be Vikram and Baldev not believing Anami is Baldevs daughter and not that she is a girl
However since the past 2-3 episodes, there has been an obvious shift in the narrative to male heir vs female heir with the patriarch acting like a chauvinist when he was the one who gladly let Satrupa manage the business and treated her like a son

@red: I know it's unpopular opinion here but from how I see things unfolding, there is an attempt to whitewash Satrupa..to meet the standards of "mother is always right and even if she does something wrong it's coz of some majboori or regressive thinking of some other members and not her fault"
Atleast that's how it's been since the past few episodes..especially yesterday's and today's
The whole I was only a guardian,l yesterday and what should I do so that Anami stops hating me and showing Satrupa as helpless is a far cry from the woman that she was in the initial episodes
Add to that the obvious way in which they are showing her as right and Anami as wrong for supporting Narottam..it's disappointing to see the CVs take the easy way out to justify Satrupa's act..
Put the blame on Vikram so that it's easier to forgive Satrupa's crime of giving away Anami and choosing the male child over a female

I don't feel the story is getting changed. Vikramadithya is an egoistic person. He placed lot of trust in Guruji and Satrupa. And they together hid the biggest truth from him. He is more upset with Guruji than Satrupa. Because somewhere in his mind he understands Satrupa followed Guruji's advice.

Now when something happens which one does not like at all - what will be the reaction ? We will give one excuse for not accepting it. If there is a counter argument we will give another excuse and this goes on till we run out of excuses.

Same is happening with Vikram. I do not blame him at all for not accepting Anami. If you remember he did disinherit Baldev because he felt he is not eligible to be the heir (for whatever reasons). Satrupa brought up Vatsalya in such a way that he was acceptable to all. Now out of the blue comes a girl who is the opposite of Vatsalya - why should Vikramaditya accept her ?

So first "she is a fake"" is the reason. He was against DNA test itself. Because he clearly knew Satrupa is saying the truth and he did not want to accept the truth. Now that DNA is positive - he holds onto Anami's behaviour and then to a more unbeatable argument. She is a girl.

Now Anami has to prove her ability for him to accept her.

I feel the CVs are just going by the initial story line only. And this is not to make Satrupa white. Anami is never going to accept this reason anyway.

@TM-Agree the gender thing seems to be a recent addition imo.
Till recently it seemed to be all about bloodlines and legitimacy about the heir and suddenly they've come up with the patriarchy twist, probably pandering to SP's brand of women empowerment.🤢
This can no way justify what Satrupa did to Anami.
I don't know why they should even try ..Just show Satrupa as ambitious and power hungry as Pujan.Nothing wrong there.

I'm curious about Vikram's hurried declaration of Avdhoot as his heir, tho' he got the heirloom,it was Anami who shed blood , may be she would continue Satrupa's legacy while Avadhoot becomes Baldev2. No way hinting a marriage. I'm shipping Adhi-anami.😆

I believe rather than succession rule change Baldev was simply disinherited as a lone case due to his misdeeds thus the succession skipping a generation. It might have happened as a compromise where he signed away his rights while allowing his child to inherit (he won't ever be the head but this allows him to enjoy the luxuries of family wealth rather than being totally cut away)

And at the same time male female thing - it might be that there has never been a princess who wasn't allowed to inherit. Rather every generation had a son also making it a default choice to pick the boy rather than a matter of the girl not inheriting. It's just a tradition not a legal matter as the case with Baldev not inheriting

Dadaji is pissed cz his hands are tied. Legal clause is a child of Baldev and Satrupa will inherit as the direct heir apparent. Which Anami fulfills completely
He can make Avdoot wear any number of pagdis and haars and he still won't be the legal heir once dadaji pass away unless Satrupa and Baldev adopts him (which isn't gonna happen while Satrupa is there)

This is my understanding of the situation
