Akshay Kumar clarifies his comment on Television actors' wages.

Akshay Kumar is currently all set to turn a judge for a laughter show on TV. During a press meet, when Akshay was asked about the wages of a Television actor.

According to a leading daily, Akshay while replying to it said, "I admire television artistes more than people from my industry as their job is hard. We (film actors) don't do one fourth of the hard work that television actors do. I respect them a lot. They work much harder and I feel they should be paid more (than the film stars). If not more, they should get at least what we are paid."

However, the actor later clarified to a leading daily that he never said such a thing. "They should get paid an actor's wage. Entertainment is the greatest medicine this country has to offer, and it should be respected accordingly, he clarified.

On the work front, the actor is currently shooting for Gold which is scheduled to release next year.

Speaking about it, the actor said, "I couldn't help myself, it was 3am, I had been shooting nights and I wanted to just quietly go and gaze at the temple, thank the Gods for all they have given me and my family, and just listen to the holy chants and watch its beauty reflect in the sacred water. Speaking about the film he says, "To work on a film shot around the time of the World War, during Gandhi's fight for freedom and independence, whilst taking India to the Olympics is pretty much a movie of a lifetime, there are no best bits, just great opportunities.

Not surprised at all Aki admires and respects hard work. Television actor do work long hours. So many incidents of fainting due to exhaustion and falling sick due to the crazy hours. But the TV industry is unlikely to change... it seems so disorganized..
