Baldev, please be something more than just Vatsalya's dad and Satrupa's husband or Vikram's son. Just be a little more than a Lal Mahal niwasi before everything is lost in this miya biwi ego tussle.
I knew DNA reports wont change anything for you but I expect you to pay attention at least considering you feel its all power politics happening in Lal Mahal. You should have been careful about the DNA test. There was no effort on your part. If you dont communicate with Anami you will lose your last hope. Be careful. The same power politics killed Vatsalya.

I have given my expectations on baldev and anami connecting anymore. lol I feel like its never going to happen. After all its not like he was a good dad to narottam either. Wonder why i thought he will be to anami.
He keeps mum most of the time and when he speaks infront of others its only to insult anami. He is turning to a disappointing character. I had so much expectation because i loved their first scene where they both walk towards each other and when he said the dialogue 'a dad didnt even know he had a daughter'

I still have my hopes pinned on Baldev melting and realizing Anami is his daughter.

Now that the DNA test has proven it, it's only a matter of time before he starts seeing Vatsalya in Anami just like Gayatri did. Once he starts seeing Vatsalya in Anami then it'll only be a matter of time before his tough stance melts and he accepts Anami.

He needs to get over his denial and take a stand. Being indifferent towards Anami is not the way out. I feel that Anami will treat him as he is unlike the other family members who see him as insignificant. That could be the turning point in their relationship.

Dey Baldev as a character has tremendous potential to play a role in the chakravuyh 😳

I understand Baldev's current reaction. He went ahead and signed the paper to please his mother and also because Anami the fake daughter confidently assured him "we'll both get what we want through this"

He automatically will assume that this girl also believes that the DNA test will be negative. He's not aware that Anami's confidence was in her plan to fiddle with the test.

Seeing an allergic response similar to Vatsalya won't affect him, his faith in Satrupa and her actions have been clouded by his own insecurities and the past experiences!!

As for his mother seeing vatsalya in Anami, he believes Satrupa has used the emotional manipulation route to influence Gayathri who's grieving the loss of her beloved grandchild. He sees Satrupa as a shrewd woman who always goes after what she wants.

Baldev needs to step back, think why the girl who said "her love for her pandithayan is greater than hate for Satrupa" has stayed back and silently embracing the new role as the granddaughter of the house and daughter of Satrupa!

Baldev has been a good father to Vatsalya, but his behaviour and approach towards Narottam and Anami is something which I hope the makers explore properly.

I have no hopes left for Baldev. He was a good father to Vatsalya because he stood for one good thing he did in his life, he was a shining son who was easy to handle...While he treated the other one who ruined his prospects by being born as worse than a stranger. He let Narottam be abused all these years. Going by that logic, he has no reason to be nice to Anami, a stranger to him. Some people are like that...they can only be nice selectively.

👏
Well put, Benna.

And he must have that fear to hope too. Why should he hope for a child, when he feels it will be just another maaya. Satrupa succeeded in mocking his son's memory, by bringing in a fake heir. She tampered with the DNA test. Why should he even give her the benefit of doubt, when he knows the moment he starts hoping this child is his, Satrupa will dash his hopes.

His main problem is that he can't trust Satrupa. Therefore, he considers it suicidal to even consider her big lie.

I am at least happy that Anami doesnt care a bit about him!! she hates her mother and loves her brother now. But equally strong feelings... for Baldev she only got a careless indifference

i know it will change eventually ... but it would have been sad if Anami craved for his love (not gonna happened ever as Anami got a great loving father) and he neglected ... the way he acts with Narotham

Seriously! I never have seen this level of distrust between couples on Indian Telly, the exception may be Anurag-Prerna! Here toh it doesn't even seem these two ever had any love between them. Only duty-bound. 😕

Well, that's because she has an amazing father already. Murari Pathak deserves World's Best Father award. Anami knows she is loved, has an amazing father who is her guide, her friend and so, it doesn't matter to her. But Baldev, how long does he want to stay in denial and throw tantrums at everybody. Its getting irritating at the point. She is your blood. I need to see conflict of emotions in his arc.
