I'm talking about Raj, of course. Whether he's a fictional character or not, how dare he think he can just go up to Preet and confess his love? How dare he think everything will be okay after that? That a cute love confess and a few sweet words will erase the months of suffering he's put his beloved wife through?

I agree 100% kordeilla! that was a ridiculous expectation. unfortunately, in other circumstances, preet might have decided to get back with him.

Doesn't he have to begin somewhere?
Preet isn't involving him in any of her plans because their contract always comes between them. So what better way than to remove the contract and tell her he loves her?
I'm sure he doesn't expect her to forgive him right away. His imagination made that clear.

And don't forget that Preet herself was ready to forgive him and start anew when he took her to that restaurant.

I definitely don't want Preet to forgive Raj easily. He needs to try hard to first win her trust and her friendship before winning her love. He has put her through enough sufferings in the past few months.
But what I am unhappy about is Sakshi has driven a wedge between them. Had she not done that Preet would have happily run to his arms and I still wouldn't like that. I wanted Preet to give him a good piece of her mind. Not only for breaking her heart and tarnishing her mother's reputation by exposing the truth in that manner but also for not believing in a friend who stood by him no matter how badly he was treated by his own family when he was a child. Even if he felt Mannu had betrayed him, he could have given one chance for her to prove her innocence.

Exactly, Sana. If SD didn't twist Preet's mind, she would've believed Raj's love confession straight away.

Beginning with a love confession is horrid. He needs to earn her trust first before he brings love into it. I'm so glad that he didn't get a chance to say it. Thanks Chandar.

Yes, Preet was ready to forgive him, but that was before she realised what a loser he was.

@italic @bold Exactly. He failed as a friend first, not a lover, so he needs to fix that friendship before giving their relationship another go.

Once Chander entered, RajPreet had begun as friends. It was Preet who went into her shell and stopped talking to Raj. Why? Because of the contract. The contract is a mountain before Preet. She can't be friends with Raj with that between them.
He has to clear that before they can become friends.
It sounds really lame and we have discussed it before, but the contract was what had Preet actually distancing herself from Raj. That has to be removed if their relationship can ever have a face.

@bold I meant the contract when I wrote this. I don't like stating the obvious. Like I said, they need to start over as friends. For that to happen, all of the misunderstandings have to go. That means Raman's murder, the divorce papers, SD, the contract and whatever else need to be cleared up. God knows when since we haven't even overcome the first hurdle (Raman's murder) yet!

Under the given circumstances Raj can only do what's in his hands.
And that's to do away with the contract.
He can't offer friendship and say he does away with the contract. That would be even more stupid.
