2 February 2008 (Sawf News) - Kareena Kapoor sent our collective pulse racing in a pink chiffon saree with a bare back blouse at the Global Indian TV Honors night held at Andheri Sports Complex, Friday, February 1. The 28-year-old attended the awards show as a guest along with boyfriend Saif Ali Khan.

Kareena's saree had large beige and silver sequin flower embroidery and a beige and silver sequin border.

With her open hair stylishly swept to the front over her shoulders the low cut matching sequined blouse revealed her voluptuous back, tormenting us no end!

Heck! We understand now why Saif has her named tattooed on his left forearm. We thought he was nuts! Actually, he is just bananas over her.

We get the message now. He isn't going to let go of this one! Ekta Kapoor's Balaji Telefilms partnered with Channel 9x to launch the TV awards show. Anyway, Malaika Arora Khan and Sajid Khan hosted the event. Performers at the event included Ronit Roy, Prachi Desai, Jay Bhanushali, Shabbir Ahluwalia and Lara Dutta.

The judges from a diverse background included Farida Jalal, Aruna Irani, Manish Malhotra, Vikram Phadnis, Anurag Basu, B.P. and Neena Gupta.

Kareena is looking awesome, no doubt but the journalist sounds more like a besotted pup than a writer.

Oh, did the journo forget to inform that Kareena thanked Shahid again on-stage while Saif sat flashing his 32 in the audience? 😆

The more she wears Saree the more she looks like waking up from "ASH HANGOVER"...

She is trying to copy ASh in different ways..After saying that the worst fashion move of the year was ASh wearing Purple Boots she is trying tobe all "Silent, SAree Clad, long hair" Ash clone...

BUt I have an ews for her....WE only have one AShiwarya.....ANd Kareena looks better in her modern avtaar than the Saree...

Atleast for me....and she looks so normal in this not out of this world...Vidya looks better than her. 😳

I don't see any problem with Kareena wearing a sari and she is definately not suffering from an 'Ash hangover'.

Kareena has worn sari's to events in the past, and considering this was a tv awards ceremony, wearing a sari is probably the best choice. She isn't exactly going to turn up wearing jeans and a leather jacket because it would be too casual, and it would be silly for her to wear a gown because she would be overdressed for the event.

Kareena is probably one of the best dressed in the industry when it comes to personal style, Ash has hit and miss outfits and Vidya is well known to be the worst!

Also Kareena can not be an Ash clone simply because their styles are miles apart. They both look stylish in their own way.

I like KAreena when she is being KAreena..

But rightnow it seems she is not being her...To be compatible wiht Saif she is trying to be somehting that she is not....Maybe she loves Sarees but with Shahid she could not so with Saif she is doing it....

But to me she is not being her self. Look at Karishma...she is glamourous and comes to Awards with out SArees as Sarees are not her style...SO is KAreena...

I truely feel that Kareena is being herself, the only difference is that is she is more mature now, whether thats in her attitude or in her style.

We may not have seen Kareena wear sari's that often before, but she was much younger then and more experimental with what she wore.

I personally think she looks good in a sari, she still looks glamourous but it also adds a little softness and tradition to her look.

I agree with Punjabi_chic that her style reflects her maturity and her relationship with Saif has allowed her to alter her image as when she was with Shahid she must have been conscious about looking older than him, hence her style was different. She looks really pretty in sarees.
