The trend of remixes has already taken Bollywood by storm with old songs getting new beats and fading away soon after a few days of the limelight in the clubs and otherwise. And amid that old classic films are also being remade.
The latest example of the same is Judwaa 2, a sequel Salman Khan starrer comedy movie, which was a remake of Jackie Chan starrer Twin Dragons. While the new version of Salman Khan starrer Judwaa almost looks the same as the original, Salman wants two of other films to be remade in Bollywood, according to Bollywood Hungama. And we are taken aback by his choice.
Love and Suryavanshi, he says. For those of you who don't remember, Love was an average grossing Telugu remake whose rights were owned by Shah Rukh Khan's Red Chillies Entertainment. The story of the film revolves around two lovers who fight against all the odds and reunite in the end. For this film, Salman Khan wants Varun Dhawan to step in his shoes.
The other film is Suryavanshi. No, Salman Khan wasn't a part of Amitabh Bachchan starrer Sooryavansham, and rather it's a different film, which starred Sheeba, Saeed Jaffrey and Amrita Singh in other prominent roles. The story had failed miserably at the box office but Salman Khan says that since it was way ahead of its time, it might just do wonders if remade now.
While already he is bearing loses and fans are disappointed because of Tubelight, we wonder if remaking his two films is a good idea.
