Some secrets are best left hidden because when they come out, they cause complete devastation. But the very nature of truth is that it can never stay hidden. Just like the Pandora's Box that contained all the evils in the world and was let out when the box was opened, the key they obtained from Svetlana has the power to do the very same.
While Svetlana's is trying to obtains whatever secrets that key holds, the blissfully unaware Oberoi offsprings are just speeding up the process of unlocking that box. But once it is open it will shake Oberoi mansion from it's very core and might very well kickstart the vanvaas track.
So what exactly might be inside the locker/drawer and what's in those papers with Shivaay's name on it? Either there is still some secret involving Shivaay's birth or truth might be so severe that Shivaay Singh Oberoi will end up renouncing his naam, khoon, khandaan and take vanvaas. He might end up disowning the same Oberoi name he held in such high regards and detest everything it stands for.
If that happens, Om would most likely become the unwilling king in his brother's place and the Laxman in the story, Rudy would accompany the brother.
This makes me wonder if there was one another significance of his day in Annika's chawl. While the purpose of dadi's task was to make Shivaay experience what Annika's life was really like, it also served as a preparation for him if the vanvaas track happens. If he renounces the Oberoi name and throne, he might have to live a life without the luxury and comforts of Oberoi mansion and live a common man's life.
Most of the senior Oberoi's , if not all are aware of the secret ( whether fully or in parts ) and if Shakti had burned those papers, it might have Tej who had kept them.
Did anyone notice that in last Friday's episode, when the usually unsanskaari Tej bent down to touch Dadi's feet, he seemed to have mumbled something to her?
Then comes the other theory, which is Annika's past. I know everyone has been thinking that Gauri will turn out to be Annika's younger sister but going by the Ramayan parallels, what if it's Bhavya and not Gauri who is Annika's sister? This occurred to me suddenly last week when Annika's life at the orphanage was mentioned and while thinking about the vanvaas track.
As for the rest of the episode today, it surprised me a little that Annika didn't mention about the key to Dadi, but that just makes scope for the secret to remain hidden and not be destroyed for now.
Svetlana will be caught and kicked out but the real key will remain in Annika's possession and in their curiosity to find out Svetlana's motives, the truth might be discovered by her or Shivaay eventually.
Rikara are finally back at OM after their adventure and if Om takes one step forward in their relationship, he is still taking two steps backward.
Annika is right to bajao Shivaay for struggling so much to say those three magical words. He doesn't just need a push, he needs a big shove in order to say ILU.
