I think the fault was more with the day before yesterday's precap that showed Raj confessing to Preet.
We were all set for the confession and Preet's reaction was as we expected it to be. Hence it was difficult for the mind to accept that it was actually Raj's imagination!
The scene could have been much better executed, no doubt.

Raj's actually not as stupid as we make him out to be 😆
He knew how Preet would react to the confession 😆

But now, I doubt if Preet would react as expected. That's how it's usually, isn't it?
She may end up running straight into his arms once he confesses his love

Or Sakshi may come between them and somehow manipulate the situation so that Preet never gets to hear the confession in a while.
Sakshi may somehow come to know of the contract and play politics 😡
