If you mean to ask if that word offends us, well no. Atleast it doesn't affect me.
But I prefer using euphemism because a lot of soap watchers are actually sensitive and don't like to hear of people having pre marital sex. Especially their leads. It horrifies them. So I do not call a spade a spade for their benefit.
