Welcome! Have a Look at the 2nd Edition of the Ishqbaaaz Forum Newsletter titled 'Dil Bole Oberoi!
The NL covers weeks 21st August to 2nd September.
Definitely, it was one of the best weeks so far, at least better than what we had before it. The development of all three pairs, the Grand Oh My Maata of a character we once loved, Shivaay confessing his love (even if it was in front of Om), Om and Gauri finally communicating for once and Rudra and Bhaya speaking things as well as embarking towards the journey of Ishqbaaazi is what we were waiting for since forever.
While Shivaay and Anika are all set for their marriage now, Om and Gauri are bring pushed towards each other by (now) ShivIka as a gesture of gratefulness. Rudra and Bhavy don't need a catalyst, they'll take their time and help only when thing go terribly wrong.
With Kaveri Darling (read: Svetlana), Peter Swami (read: Tej Singh Oberoi), Sultan (read: Sultana reboot) and Pinky Singh Oberoi (read: Nevermind) all set to create a ruckus in Oberoi Mansion, I am sure it's his Takkar Ki Ishqbaazi that will help them through.

Mujhe laga, Shivaay Singh Oberoi, main apne parivaar ko protect kar raha tha. Lekin nahi. Mera parivaar mujhe protect kar raha tha.

How terrible it was to see Shivaay Singh Oberoi break! He was not Anika's or Pinky's at this moment. He was the Oberoi heir. Questioning how he failed to protect them from something that also was guarded by this wall. From the very beginning, we witnessed how Shivaay was overly protective of his famoly, especially OmRu. We witnessed how scared he was of loosing them. Be it when Rudra was shot, or when Om's drug addiction cam into picture. Or even when Om attempted suicide.
He was fiercely protecting his brothers because they meant everything to him. While this was the main picture, a very important aspect was hidden. Om and Rudra loved him no less, cared for him no less. They would jump at any chance where they would help 'Shivaay' or 'Bhaiya'.
This dialogue definitely was very powerful. Shivaay threw Anika out, not only because of lack of trust. He wouldn't have let this trust falter but when OmRu and his family came into picture, when Om's 'birth truth' was concerned, Shivaay saw red. In an attempt to make sure that the family stays together, that his promise that he made to Dadi stays intact, Shivaay let go of Anika. All the while, he naturally assumed that the Great Wall of Shivaay Singh Oberoi was protecting his family once again. Little did he realise, that it was his family that was protecting him this time. It was them, who did not let 'the truth' come in front of him, who vowed to not tell him. They did all of it to keep him from breaking and his roots of Naam Khoon Khaandan stay in place.
This dialogue, where Shivaay expressed the truth in a very traumatic yet heartfelt way, was indeed one of the best dialogues of this fortnight.

Best DressedThe best dressed character of the fortnight is Annika. The yellow long kurti and jeans she wore on Mahaepisode was a breathtaking and slay the episode. The colour Yellow stands for freshness, happiness, positivity, clarity, energy, optimism, enlightenment, remembrance, intellect, honour, loyalty, and joy. The colour corresponded with the beauty and symbolism of the Will You Marry Me?' scene and perfectly described the happiness of Annika.
The shimmering light of the moon illuminating on her made her look more gorgeous and beautiful. Hats off to SC, you rocked it.

Best CostumeThe best costume goes to Annika and Bhavya.
Annika's bridal dress designed by Neeta Lull was a metallic gold asymmetrical Lehenga with a 3-tier ruffle hemline. The glimmering backless shimmering metallic blouse along with zardozi, crystals, semi-precious stones, sequins and mirror-work on it added glamour to the outfit. This gave SC a playful childish yet a bold look in a bridal wear which matched her eccentric bold personality.
Bhavya's girl next door look was super cute. The blue denim shirt which was tied in a knot and give it a midriff look and black jeans with a white baseball cap which was worn backwards by Bhavya gave her playful and cute look. The outfit well coordinated with the street style food made by Shivaay for the challenge.

Worst Dressed Ironically Bhavya won the worst dressed character of the fortnight. The recent transition in her hairstyle from semi curly hair to straighten hair and the faded yellow colour kurti and denim jacket didn't go along with the coordination. A brighter shade of yellow would have contrasted with her outfit and made her look great with her previous semi curly hairstyle.

Worst CostumeThe worst costume obviously goes to the red kurta that was worn by Nakuul Mehta on Friday's episode. The faded blush red colour of kurta was what made the scene the scenes dull even if they are cute. A more deep crimson shade of red would have suited Nox better.
The recent puppy print on the white shirt worn by Nakuul on the day of Mahaepisode was a bit childish. The floral print instead puppy printed white shirt would have suited him a lot better.

Sultan or Sultana : isn't it a question?

The story of Sultan or may be Sultana was started when he or she assassinated Bhavya's family when Bhavya was a child but when Bhavya confronted Sultan, Sultan's age was almost equal to Bhavya's. We understand that in daily soaps ages do not matter but this much.

For God sake, Bhavya is so called ACP Bhavya Pratap Rathore and trained as an IPS under covered cop. How an undercover can be recognized by Sultan so easily, as Bhavya said "Sultan ne humein dekha hai"

Chalo in this case also we put her mind on our knees, but how can a police officer not realize that the person standing inches apart from her, that means Sultan is a man or woman.

Pinky Singh Oberoi's Karma Hits Back-OMM ki OMM

This fortnight we finally got the scene which the entire ishqbaaaz fandom had been waiting for since months. The selfish and vile Pinky Singh Oberoi's deeds were out in open and it was revealed by none other than the culprit herself.

The scene starts with the return of Shark Singh Oberoi. Shivaay gets flashes of the bhaang night and then tries his way with Anika and his brothers to find out the complete truth. He gets to know that the big secret for which Anika left him has something to do with his NKK and his Mother is also involved. Shivaay then forms a plan and smartly provokes his Mother by declaring that he is transferring his entire wealth to Anika as a thank you gesture for doing so much for him. An insecure Pinky is unable to digest this fact and blurts out that whatever Anika did was to protect a lie. Pinky ends up revealing how she lied to Anika that Shivaay is an illegitimate child of Shakti and Kameeni. Not only this, but also that she planned this entire facade with Kameeni to make Anika believe that Mahi and Shivaay are twin brothers.

Everyone ends up being disgusted with Pinky while Shivaay is unable to deal with the fact that this woman is his Mother. "Maa, duniya ke sabse sundar shabd ko gaali bana diya aapne" Shivaay refuses to listen to her excuses and blames her for ruining his life by sowing the seeds of Naam Khoon Khandaan inside him. He goes on to acknowledge the sacrifices Om and Anika made for him, being remorseful for what they went through. Pinky is still unable to realize her mistake and continues bad mouthing Anika which makes Shivaay lose his control and he bursts out on her to not say anything against Anika and breaks all ties with her. "Ye aurat meri Maa nahi ho sakti". Shivaay leaves from the house without paying any attention to his Mother's cries.

As its said "As you sow, so shall you reap" and it couldn't be anymore truer in case of Pinky Singh Oberoi. Anika and Shivaay suffered for days and nights because of her and now its Pinky's turn to suffer.

We don't even need to guess what the best OBro Moment of the Fortnight could be. The scene where Shivaay is trying to coax the truth out of Om and Rudra, was one of the best scenes till date.
These characters retained their original self so much, it was like we never lost them (don't lie, we actually have lost them a little bit as compared to the original ShiOmRu 😆)
We had always seen how Shivaay was protective about Om and Rudra. What we also saw, was how OmRu were even more protective of him, though they didn't express it like Shivaay did.
The scene began with Shivaay lying that he knows the truth, putting Om in a fix. He knows Anika wouldn't tell Shivaay, and so he is confused. How can Shivaay know the truth? Shivaay keeps firing bkindly and each of it hits the right place. Om still holds back, not sure if Shivaay would react this way.
When Rudra comes, he sees only red. He is furious, how Pinky could do this and blurts out something. All of this was the dramatic quotient. The most important part was when they hugged. Rudra tightly holds his Bhaiya, his superman. You still mean the same to us.
The agony in Shivcay's eyes, the confusion yet determination on Om's face was visible, the distraught on Rudra's and the agony on Shivaay's.
Nakuul, Kunal and Leenesh, invariably were absolutely amazing in this scene. The scene was gorgeous and satiating for all OBro fanatics out there.-Krishi

But Gauri being Barelliey ki chiraya twisted by saying "Accha hi hai na Annika bhojai us lambu se shadi kar rahi hai", which burnt Shivay with reverse psychology's anger even more

Bechara Pati and Bade Bhaiya...

After all she gave a title to Vikram of being acche chirote...

But the limit of SSO jealousy crossed to an extent when Chotu Sahil entered and targeted on the bullseye by calling Vikram JIJU

Now Stone Singh Oberoi has become the kali coffee machine by anger...he might be thinking that billu ki shadi aur band baje na baje Panika ki Shadi to main nahi hone dunga...

After all Gauri has explained him the meaning of Jiju to add some salt on his jealous wound

When the touchy topic of Shivay's height was touched by Sahil, SSO's tadi has even more increased into his jealousy.

And the height was when RiKara planned all the rasams of Vikram and Annika's wedding from bidayi to suhagrat.

But the bacha hua patience of SSO broke down when Om finally said something, "Humari bhabhi I think hume hi jana chahiye Suhagrat ki preparations ke lie"

And finally jealous SSO rocks.

Agli baar attitude dene se pehle ek bar soch lena ki tumhara ye bala Rudra Singh Oberoi se padaa hai.

Dadi trusts Bhavya with a bowl for safekeeping for Shivika's shaadi rasams and as she descends down the stairs, Nautanki Singh Oberoi sticks his foot out so she trips and in total heroine style, Bhavya did and was saved by her hero. RuVya are lost in each others eyes and when they come out of their trance, begins Bhavya vs Rudy.
Rudra is right Bhavya, he will always be there to rescue you. Of course, our ACP Bhavya refuses to accept that and shows her attitude by tripping Rudra, and goes back to police mode, telling Rudy that as a cop, it is her duty to save the public.Then Rudy as an true Oberoi has to get the last move/word in and the way he moves her hair off her face which was so romantic and Bhavya was so affected by Rudy's touch that she almost dropped the bowl, but of course, Rudra Singh Oberoi is not someone to mess with and he will save the day!
This attitude game between them was amazing! Their takkar and we can see Rudy is falling for her and Bhavya is trying so hard not to but its failing miserably!

Being his Eyes

I am talking about the scene they fight the goons.

The goons want to take Gauri but Omkara says,

"Dont even try to touch Gauri."

Omkara fight the goons, asking Gauri to be his eyes.

I loved seeing this scene where Rikara worked together and Om trusted Gauri, listening to her instructions.

When Omkara was finished fighting Gauri starts her Masti and she tells him that there are more goons. Everywhere Gauri goes she takes her masti and her Dabbang style with her.

All of this end up with Om wrapping his arms around her waist, opening his eyes finally, to see Gauri's face that clearly shows how he affects her.

There has been a continuous shower of Shivika Ka Romance on the fandom. To pick one as the best would obviously be an unfair job. So doing a little unfair job.

"Tum Tut Gayi, Taaki Main Naa Tut Jaaun!"

Words! He tells her he can't meet her eyes. What not did heput her through, to make her spill out the hurtful truth, but she? She remained adamant protecting him from the Harsh and subjecting herself to the worse- something she never deserved.

"Tum sab jhelti rahi, meri tadi, mera gussa, meri nafart..sab"

"Don't be so nice to me Anika, I don't deserve it"

Tears in eyes, and a burning fire in heart. He cried not meeting her eyes. She had gne through insults and pain, had broken, and yet stood there her eyes telling him "she will always be there, for him!"

And he realises its time to choose HER over his Tadi.

All her ways lead her to him. She knows where he was without him speaking a word.

He apologises knowing that it would never be sufficent, and bows his head down, holding her hands. Tears in her eyes she does not let him!

Down On His Knees he goes, "Will You Marry me Anika?"

"Jhuk Hi Gaya Tumaare Aage"

She stands there lost in him. Her Dream has turned into reality, Her husband whose forced wife she was at once was, on his knees before her in front of not just the entire world but the moons and stars being witness too.

He whispers her to say a yes, his knees were paining, he isn't used too it. She smiles and helps him up. Something she would do every time, hence forth.

He let's go off the last bit of the disease he had held onto.

Mere liye ye sirf Anika hai..
Khidkitod Anika

And there is no one like her..
Mujhe Anika pe bhi fakhr hai aur Anika kaa hone par bhi...

He told the world that he belongs to her, and not that she belongs to him.

And the wild Ishqbaaaz is now out in the open to flaunt is Ishqbaazi Colour.

Five words. Do you know what these five words mean? How significant they are for Omkara and Gauri's relation? How in his own style our beloved poet expressed her new position in his life? He wanted her to be his eyes, his guide, showing him the light through her voice when he can't see anything.

"Tum buss meri aankhen bano"

Five words. Five phases of their journey: starting from misunderstanding and marriage in Bareilly; second phase of loyalty and friendship, where Omkara-Chulbul proved themselves to be the best buddies of each other; third phase where they worked together and defeated Svetlana as Mr. & Mrs. Omkara Singh Oberoi; fourth phase where lies encircled by duty, care and other unexpressed feelings came on surface while facing BuaMaa; fifth and most significant phase where the journey of knowing each other started. And now after these five phases these five words signify the start of something new, something beautiful.

"Tum buss meri aankhen bano"

Five words. 'Zindagi kay safar kay humsafar' who master in the art of speaking through their eyes are now finally using words. Not many words but five, which are sufficient to define the dynamics of their relationship.

Yeh sach hai ki Anika anaath hai aur yeh bhi sach hai ki Anika ke Naam, Khoon, Khaandan ke baray main na usse pata hai na mujhe. Lekin uss se bhi bada sach ye hai ki mujhe usse koi farq nahi padta.
An extremely important aspect of their journey was Naam, Khoon aur Khaandan. It was all Shivaay was, and all Anika lacked.When he declares, in front of the world that know about his strong beliefs, that when it comes to Anika or anyone now, it doesn't matter. Shivaay has worked his way through this journey. They have a lot to face, still he has come to terms with the face that Insaan ki pehchaan uske naam, khoon aur khaandan se nahi hoti.

Mere liye ye sirf Anika hai, Khidkitod Anika.And there is no one like her.
What Anika insisted on: she was only Anika. Anika no surname is what he called her. Today, he doesn't even want that surname. The woman is all that he wants. The woman who did so much for him, Tum toot gayi taki main na toot jau. She is what she wanted to see herself as. In his eyes. And just when we thought, it couldn't get better, he said
Mujhe Anika par bhi fakhr hai aur Anika ka hone par bhi.
I am hers. Everyone needs to know. I am Anika's Shivaay. I have given up on my NKK theory. I am glad of her existence, of her presence in my life. More importantly, I am glad that I am hers.

It gives him pleasure, knowing that he belongs to her. That woman who he despised for her lack of a family background, he is proud of being hers.
Hands down the best words he could say.-Krishi

Aur ek baar nahi, dus baar nahi! Hazaar baar! Hazar baar aap pe goli chalegi naa toh samne main aunga!"

Bhavya can do what she want with her mission but Rudra always will be with her and will protect his lady cop from everything. She may purpously hurt him, she may say he is kid for things like this but Rudra will not leave her.

The mere thought of her easily willing to give her life away for her duty is too much for Rudra, who day by day is becoming more attached to Bhavya, so much that he feels restless without her. He is her shield, and will protect her from whatever the world throws at her so she doesn't have to experience even an ounce of pain that she has suffered throughout her life so far.

Though the real test for their relationship will start now with this Lady Sultan's entry, I really feel this lady will change RuVya's relationship and their uncertain feelings they have for each other. It may just bring out what they wish to say to each other but have kept it inside fearing the others reaction.

The story was set up in London with a school background. Reminds me of young love, good old college days and focuses on Annika's life from teen to an adult. A really unique concept has been used which I've hardly seen being used. Overall a heart-warming story. You will just fall in love with it once you read it.

The story starts when Omkara saves Gauri from the goons in Bareilly and have a fight. Om marries her in front of all villagers but after that he refuses to accept her as his wife and insults her. He blames her values and upbringing. Hearing this gauri also gives it back to him and she herself breaks the marriage by wiping the Sindoor and decides to never meet him again.
After one year Omkara and Gauri meet again during a bussiness meeting. He is stunned seeing her because she is not the same village girl he had met a year ago. She is now an educated, confident and sophisticated bussiness woman and the owner of a famous fashion brand.
Omkara is now guilty for hurting her and he wants her back. He asks for her forgiveness and requests her to come with him to Oberoi mansion as his wife.He has already promised his grandmother that he will bring his wife home but when Gauri refuss and asks for a divorce, Omkara Singh Oberoi decided to woo her back by hook or crook. He decided to agree for the divorce with a condition that she has to live with him for a year. Ultimately Gauri decides to accept it. Even then, she doesn't give up.
The writer has her own style of exploring their relationship. It has a lotsot of twists ahead which keeps you stuck to the story. It is a very interesting read. Hurt,pain,anger,jealousy and most importantly love, every emotionsmotion is potrayed beautifully.
The best thing about this story is DewaaniMastaani has made her heroine an independent and confident girl who knows to stand up for herself. Try this story. You will hooked to it.

What will happen when you wake up and realize that you don't remember a chunk of your life? What will happen when you realize that you had a wife and two kids?
The same happens with Omkara Singh Oberoi. He has forgotten 2 important years of his life. He doesn't remember his marriage and definitely not his kids. Omkara remembers Gauri as the same gold digger who he had first met. He has forgotten his love life, proposal, marriage everything. His brothers make him understand everything and Om accepts the situation but some situations lead to him again misunderstanding Gauri again. Gauri is too hurt by the situation but she stays strong, for Om and for herself.
The concept of the story is very interesting which makes you not want to stop reading. The writer takes the story forward with intresting twists. Even though it is an emotional story, you definitely will enjoy every bit of it.Link

Lawyers At War

Shivaay and Annika, two neighbours at war. Both are lawyers by profession. Though with time, they became friends and started falling for each other but they are in good terms until Shivaay sabotaged Annika's date with an accountant. The WW3 started between.

A new concept in the forum and obviously Jealous Shivaay, one of the most loved shades of him. I recommend everyone to read this SS.

A really heart touching story of ShivIka.

Shivaay has left the Oberoi Mansion for Annika because his mother didn't accepted her. Annika had vowed to find her sister before she starts a blissful married life. After 6 years, Pinky is ready to accept Annika but she has to conceive a child with Shivaay and leave her search for her Chutki behind. This puts Annika in dilemma. To find out more, read the OS.

The story starts after the ShivIka wedding when Gauri decides to leave. She leaves the Oberoi Mansion without saying anything to anybody. The next day everyone is shocked to know about Gauri leaving the house and confront Omkara. He is left broken and void without her. Shivaay and Rudra then go in search of her. Will they be able to find her? It's an emotional ride but a beautiful one too. The writer conveyed the emotions beautifully.
