Prologue - Shuruwat

Find me on Wattpad as well. As DeewaniMastaani08. I am having problems linking pictures to the posts in this website. If you would like to have a sneak-peak of how they look, as per my imagination then you can head over there as well. 😆

The prologue scene starts when Om saves Gauri from the goons in Bareilly and have a fight-conversation with Gauri after marrying her in front of all the village (Bareilly) members.

"Theek hai, tum ab jaa sakti ho." Omkara says to Gauri after all the villagers leave the both of them alone.

"Kahan?" Gauri asks confusedly.

"What do you mean by 'Kahan'? Tumhe jaha jaana hai jao. Gunde chale gaye hai, ab tum safe ho. Tum apne raaste, main apne raaste." Omkara says while walking away.

"Kaisi baatein kar rahe hai? Humaare raaste ab alag kaise ho sakti hai?" Gauri asks in return.

"Matlab?" Omkara asks.

"Matlab humaari shaadi hui hai..." Gauri starts explaining him when Omkara interrupts. "Ek minute, agar tumhe koi galat faimi hui hai na, then let me clear. Humaari shaadi nahi hui hai. Woh sirf ek naatak tha tumhe bachaane ke liye and that's it."

"Naatak nakli tha, shaadi to asli thi..." Gauri says tearfully.

"Bilqul nahi. Shaadi asli nahi thi. Aur agar tumhe lagta hai ke is shaadi ke bahaane tum mujhe phasaaogi, to main ye hone nahi dunga. So stop it." Omkara tells her sternly.

"Par... Par ye sindoor? Woh phere - ?" Gauri asks tearfully, touching the vermillion powder which Omkara had put on her head just minutes ago and referring to the seven traditional turns they had taken around the fire in front of all the villagers.

"Mere liye koi maine nahi rakhti - naahi woh phere, naahi woh rasme aur naahi ye sindoor aur naahi tum." Omkara interrupts her once again.

"Par humaare liye ye to suhaag ki nishaani hai..." Gauri tells him.

"WILL YOU SHUT UP?! Apna bakwaas band karogi? Acha bahaana mil gaya hai na tumhe? Ek ameer ladke ko phasaane ke liye? Hmm? Tumhaari jaisi ladki se shaadi to dur, main to tumhaari shakal tak nahi dekhna chahta." Omkara explodes at her.

"Shaadi to ho gayi..." Gauri tells him confusedly.

"Woh shaadi sirf ek naatak tha, drama tha - samajhti kyun nahi ho tum?!" Omkara shouts at her.

"Haan lekin, humaare liye to - "Gauri starts speaking when all of a sudden Omkara grab her shoulders harshly making Gauri look at him in fear.

"Aakhri baar keh raha hu ke ye shaadi sirf ek naatak thi. Tumhaare aur mere beech na ye rishta hai aur naahi kabhi bhi hoga. Aaj ke baad na main tumhe jaanta hun aur naahi tum mujhe. Samajh me aayi baat? Mujhe tumse jude har cheez yaha ki tumhaare shakal se nafrat hai. To aaj ke baad galti se bhi mere saamne mat aana. Samjhi? Samjhi ke nahi?!" Omkara asks Gauri, shaking her harshly.

As he turns to leave Gauri grabs his hand, "Kaisi baatein kar rahe hai aap.. Humaari baat ek baar - " Omkara shrugs her off by throwing her to the ground.

"Bas! Tum to bari besharam aurat ho! Pata nahi tumhare maa - baap ne kya seekha kar bada kiya hoga! Shayad wo bhi laalchi jaat ke honge jo tumhari parvarish aisi ki hai! Now. Get. Lost." He spits out to her.

Gauri stays down, shocked by Omkara's actions. She looked at him bewildered realizing that this man, whom she had started to believe as her husband and gave him the position equivalent to her Shivji, is just a man. A man whose ego is so huge that he has no idea what to do with it and has no respect for women. Adrenaline rushed through her veins as she quickly got up wiping off her tears.

Nahi, mai galat thi. Bohot ho gaya. Ab isko sabak seekhana hi padega.

"Ay mister!" Gauri shouted at Omkara's retreating figure.

Omkara stopped short at her tone of voice.

"What now?" Omkara asked without looking back at her.

"Humari taraf dekhiye. Phir hum baat karenge." Gauri stated.

"I have got no time for this. Jo bolna hai jaldi bolo." Omkara says to Gauri after turning towards her.

Gauri hobbles towards him without moving her eyes off him. She knew she had to do this, or else it would be a huge insult towards her origin. To her self-respect. To her upbringing. To her worship towards her god.

"Aap ne hume shuruwaat se galat samjha... Bhala bura kaha... humaari beizzati karte rahe... Par humne kuch nahi kaha. Lekin ab? Ab aapne humari parvarish ko gaali di... Humare Maa - Baap ko gaali di... Hum ye sehen nahi kar sakte! Are hume aap jaise shaks se shaadi karne ka koi shauk nahi hai! Aap is shaadi ko nahi maante na? Are hum bhi is shaadi ko nahi sweekaar karte!" She rubs off her sindoor from her forehead and tears off her mangalsutra from her neck and threw it to the ground.

"Ye leejiye, ab aap aazaad hai aur hum bhi! Humari aap se koi rishta ho, is se behtar to humari Kaali Thakur se hi shaadi ho jati! Hum shivji se ye prarthna karte hai ki humari mulaqat is zindagi me kabhi na ho, aur agar ho bhi to hum aapko nahi jaante!

Aur haan...ek salaah hai aapke liye. Omkaraji... kisi ke baare me koi raay banane se pehle uski puri jaanch beech kar leejiye ga. Chalte hain. Namaste. " Gauri stops speaking and starts walking away from Omkara who looked shocked after hearing her words and kept on watching her retreating figure.

She sure has some guts. He thought grudgingly as he started walking towards the opposite direction of hers.

Part 1 - Ek Saal Baad

Find me on Wattpad as well. As DeewaniMastaani08. I am having problems linking pictures to the posts in this website. If you would like to have a sneak-peak of how they look, as per my imagination then you can head over there as well. 😆

This chapter starts from Gauri's point of view (or more like 3rd pov) after 1 year.

"Haan, Shwetha! Main bas nikal hi rahi hun. Thanks yaar. Rohan bhaiya ko bhejne ke liye. Tu aur Rohan bhaiya na hote to mera kya hota..." Gauri speaks into her phone as she got into the passenger seat. After a while she finishes her call and looks up.

"Rohan bhaiya, thank you so much! Last moment pe aane ke liye... main aapse bolna bhul gai thi ki main 3 din ke liye Mumbai ja rahi hun ek urgent meeting ke liye. Is liye aapko emergency bulana pada.. main khud drive kar leti lekin gadi airport pe pada rehta... Ab ghar ka dhyaan sabkuch aapko rakhna hai, theek hai?" Gauri spoke to her Mun bola bhai.

"Gauri! Tu tension mat le. Mai aur Shwetha sab sambhal lenge." Rohan replied as he started driving towards the airport.

Gauri smiled at him and looked outside the window.

Ek saal me use logon ki bohot achi parakh ho gayi hai. And now she can decipher one's character just by having a single look at them. Rohan bhaiya aur Shwetha hi ab uski family hai. Uski Maa ki 10 mahine pehle hi dehant ho chuka tha. Woh duniya me puri akeli par gayi thi jab wo Delhi chali aayi..apni zindagi ek nayi taur se shuruwaat karne ke liye. Bareilly me uske liye ab kuch rakha nahi tha aur wo us shaks se jude hue har cheez ko bhulana chahti thi. Yahan tak ki jahan unki pehli mulaqat aur shaadi hui thi. Nahi - woh shaadi nahi thi. Sirf ek drama tha.

Khair. Shivji ke kripa se use apne Bhai aur Behen ke rup me Rohan aur Shwetha mile the. In dono ke wajay se aaj wo India ki one of the latest up-coming fashion brands ki owner hai. Sirf aur sirf unke encouragement se.

Use garv hai ki uski mehnat ka fal aaj rang laayi hai. Bohot saari ladkiya jo sirf tops aur jeans pehenti thi ab uski designs (jo thodi traditional hai with a bit of modern look) follow karti hai.

Gauri smiled towards the sky and thought - Maa! Kaash aap aaj zinda hoti... to aap dekh paati ki apki chiraiyya is desh me kitna badlav laa rahi hai aur apna naam bana rahi hai.

Part 2 - Phirse Mulaqat

Here comes the main story. I can't wait! Really! I had a blast after reading the excitement of you readers to read the next part. I am as much as excited as you people to write as well! I am on a buzz today, for sure.

Find me on Wattpad as well. As DeewaniMastaani08. I am having problems linking pictures to the posts in this website. If you would like to have a sneak-peak of how they look, as per my imagination then you can head over there as well. 😆

In Mumbai

"Haan Shwetha. Main pohoch gayi hun. Ab main taxi lekar hotel jaane wali hun. Tu tension mat le...aur Rohan bhaiya ko bol dena. Warna mujhe daant sunne padegi. Ok?" Gauri chuckled as she spoke to Shwetha, while waiting for her taxi to arrive.

"Haan. Thik hai. Bye. Haan - haan.. love you too. Meri taxi aa gayi hai. Chal bye." Gauri finished her call as she stood to go towards the taxi.

"Haan SSO. Main pohoch gaya hun. Don't worry. I will handle everything. Ye project to hume hi milegi. Yeah, sure. Ok. Bye." a man spoke as he rushed past Gauri.

Gauri gasped as she stood still.

Wo awaaz... Gauri looked around frantically, searching for the owner of the voice.

She shook her head.

Nahi. Ye nahi ho sakta. Shaayad meri veham hai.

Gauri put her glasses on and headed towards the taxi again. She needed to hurry up if she wanted to be prepared for the meeting.

*******************************

In the meeting room

"Good evening, everyone. Welcome to the meeting. Today we are going to go through the presentations of all companies that are ready to sponsor 'Amoriouz' fashion brand to bring it to Mumbai. There are three business companies who are willing to sponsor. And one of them, we have the famous - Oberoi business company. The best of these three will be the one to strike the deal. So, let's commence!"

As the second company was about to finish it's presentation, there was a knock on the door.

Everyone looked at the door and immediately stood up to greet the man. Who looked so familiar to Gauri, that she sat dumbstruck with her mouth agape and eyes wide.

Man me sanka... Lag gayi lanka..

It was none other than Omkaraji.

Precap -

Man me sanka lag gayi lanka.

It was none other than Omkaraji.

*******************************

"Miss Sharma, this is Mr. Oberoi. He is the brother of Shivaay Singh Oberoi, the heir of the Business company of the Oberois, one of the companies which are ready to sponsor Amoreouz brand. Please everyone, have your seats. The third presentation is about to resume." The host stops speaking and the third company's presentation begins while Omkara and Gauri keep on looking into each other's eyes.

Both of them were remembering the last moments they had spent with each other.

Gauri blinked her eyes and a put her poker face on and looked forward, while Omkara kept on staring at her face.

A year. A year had passed and so many things had changed. Including her. It was Gauri as he remembered, but this Gauri was more confident. More educated. What was she doing among a room full of businessmen? Was she working for one of the companies? He came up with nothing. Then he decided - that he needed to talk with her. But then, she had herself stated that if they were to meet again then she would refuse to acknowledge him. Just as he had told her as well not to show her face. He looked away guiltily.

The presentations were done and at the end it was decided that the project would be handed over to the Business Company of the Oberois.

The meeting ended at around 8pm when there was dinner arranged for all the guests who attended the meeting by the hosts.

Gauri got up quickly, bid farewell from the hosts and started walking herself out of the room. Omkara who didn't move his eyes off her even for a second got up quickly as well and started following her.

He caught her near the swimming pool, which was coincidentally vacant and shouted out her name.

"Gauri!"

Gauri stopped short at being called. She was shocked. Wasn't he the one who told her not to show her face in front of him - even by mistake? Wasn't he the one who said he won't recognize her if they came upon each other once again? Then why on earth was he calling her?

She slowly turned back towards him and was startled to find him really close to her. She hastily stepped a few steps back. And then she took a deep breath and looked into his eyes with her head held high.

"Omkara." Gauri spoke clearly without any tremor which was running through her at the moment. But she won't show him, that is, her weakness. She had her poker face on.

"Kaisi ho?" Omkara asked her, surprised that she had dropped the title of 'ji' she used to attach with his name.

"Theek hun." Gauri answered curtly, looking away.

"Tum yahan...Mumbai me..?" Omkara hesitantly asked.

"Kyun? Mumbai bhi khareed li hai kya?" Gauri asked in return, folding her arms.

"No, I didn't mean that - " Omkara tried to speak but was interrupted by Gauri.

"I really don't care what you mean or don't. I don't have time for this." Gauri spoke in English and turned to leave when Omkara grabbed her wrist and turned her towards him.

"Gauri! Meri baat to suno! Mujhe tumse maafi maangne ka ek mauka to do! Haan mujhe pata hai ki maine jo bartaav Bareilly me tumhare saath kiya tha, woh sahi nahi tha. Aur mujhe tumhari sachaai ka bhi maalum ho chuka hai. Maine is wajah se tumhe bohot jaga dhundne ki koshish ki. Lekin tum kahin nahi mili. Maine Kaali Thakur aur uske do bhaaiyon ko bhi puri zindagi ke liye jail ke andar kar diya taaki tum aur tumhari tarah aur kai ladkiyan apni zindagiyon me chain ki saans le sake.Is liye main tumse maafi maangna chahta hu. Kya tum mujhe maaf kar paaogi?" Omkara finished speaking and raised his two hands as he were praying to god and dipped his head in shame.

"Omkaraji..", Gauri lowered his hands and looked into his eyes. "Haan humne aapko maaf kiya. Ab hume chalna chahiye. Goodbye." Gauri started to leave again.

"Kahan jaa rahi ho? Meri baat abhi bhi khatam nahi hui hai. Maine dadi ko ek promise kiya tha - ki main apni biwi ko ghar launga aur woh bhi jald se jald."

Gauri felt as if she was stabbed in her heart.
Unhone aur ek shaadi bhi kar li?

"To aap hume ye kyun bata rahe hai? Jaiye apni biwi ko lekar jaiye. Aapki dadi intezaar kar rahi hongi. Hume jaane di jiye. Please." Gauri said to him.

"Hum kaise le ja sakte hain jab humari biwi humare saath chalne ke liye taiyaar hi nahi hai?" Omkara looked into her eyes with his smoldering look.

Gauri looked dazed as she was captured by his beautiful eyes. He is so handsome. Ye main kya soch rahi hun? Damn it.

Gauri cleared her throat, while she blushed and asked Omkara, "Kya kaha aapne?"

Omkara, who looked as if he had eaten all the canary, cheekily replied,
"Main tumhari baat kar raha hun - Gauri Omkara Singh Oberoi."

Gauri's eyes popped out as she shouted, "Kya?!"

Wasn't she asking this question again and again today?

A/N: Thank you so much for your likes and comments. They made my day. Really. And also thanks to the silent readers. There are loads of 'em. Please leave in your opinion once in a while. Love.
Let's continue then.

Precap:

Omkara, who looked as if he had eaten all the canary, cheekily replied,
"Main tumhari baat kar raha hun - Gauri Omkara Singh Oberoi."

Gauri's eyes popped out as she shouted, "Kya?!"

Wasn't she asking this question again and again today?

Now:

Pakka satthiyan gaya hai yeh. Gauri thought as she looked furiously at him. She felt this hot burning fire boiling within her as she glared at his grinning face...

"Kya matlab hai tumhara?! Main tumhari biwi kaise ho sakti hun? Bhool gaye us din? Hume to naa chahte huye bhi us din ki yaad aati hai... Yaad nahi, tum ne kya kaha tha - Ki tum mujh jaisi ladki ko shaadi to kya shakal bhi nahi dekhna chahte! To aaj phir tum hume biwi maanne ke liye kaise taiyaar ho?! Aur woh bhi apni dadi ke kehne par? Waah! Dekho to sahi! Pyaara pota apni pyaari dadi ki baat maan raha hai! Just listen to me Mr. Oberoi! Main koi khilauna nahi hun - ki jab chaha use kar liya, aur jab use khatam ho gaya, to phek diya! Samjhe! So what ki tumhe apni galti ka ehsaas hai! Tumhare dil ko sukoon dene ke liye ab tum hume biwi banakar lejaoge? Aisa kabhi nahi ho sakta! Aaj hum apni pairon me khare hain - apna bojh hum khud utha sakte hain. Kisi ki help maangne ki zaroorat nahi padti. To phir... tum hume kis haq se biwi maante ho, huh? Kyunki hum is shaadi ko nahi maante! Marte dam tak nahi maanenge and now, just let go off me!" Gauri stopped screaming at Omkara and started struggling to get her hand out of his grasp.

"Tum maano ya na maano, tum ab meri biwi ho! Bareilly ka pura gao saakshi hai humari shaadi ka. Aur tumhe main biwi banakar apne ghar leke hi jaaonga. Tum chaaho ya na chaaho, ye ab tumhari marzi. And that's my challenge to you, Gauri Omkara Singh Oberoi. Abhi main tumhe jaane de raha hun. But not for long. I will be back to get you. From wherever the hell you are." Omkara left her hand as he said those words to her and looked into her eyes passionately.

Both were looking into each other's eyes with a maelstrom of emotions running through them. One was feeling hot hatred towards the other while the other looked lovingly at his wife.

Gauri immediately started walking towards her rented car to head to her hotel. She was leaving Mumbai. She didn't care about the consequences she would have to face because she had yet another meeting the following day. She just needed to get away from this man. And that's that.

She wondered as she drove to her hotel - Zindagi bhi kya khel khel rahi hai uske saath.. Pehle Omkaraji ko uske saamne laakar khara kar deti hai aur ab.. Wo use apni biwi banakar ghar le jaane ka soch raha hai..just because use apni kiye par pachtawa hai. I need to talk to Rohan bhaiya and Shwetha. ASAP.

*******************************

In Hotel:

Gauri sipped wine, as she stood next to the long window in her suite which gave her the entire view of Mumbai's beach. Rohan Bhaiya had selected the best hotel in Mumbai for her. She had called them, but they were currently unreachable. So, she had left them a message - to contact her ASAP.

She came out of her reverie as a loud knock sounded at her door. She frowned as she looked at the door thoughtfully. She didn't call in for any hotel service. Who could it be and moreover at this time? It was about 12 midnight. Could it be... No! He wouldn't. She warily walked towards her door and then peeked through the peep-hole. Damn it! She couldn't see anything. The person at the other side had covered the looking glass so that she couldn't see. Ab kya karoon?

"Kaun hai?", She asked the person at the other side of the door. There wasn't any answer.

Ok. You're a brave girl. Let's do this. She took a deep breath and opened the door.

She gasped at what she found at the other side.

Part 5 - Surprise!

Find me on Wattpad as well. As DeewaniMastaani08. I am having problems linking pictures to the posts in this website. If you would like to have a sneak-peak of how they look, as per my imagination then you can head over there as well. 😆

A/N: Wow! You guys just blew me off. I am so glad that you people are loving my story. And I am kinda surprised because I am updating so quickly. Perhaps, I am getting high off writing this story and pleasing you guys! ;)

Enjoy!

"Happy Birthday, chutki!"
Rohan and Shwetha shouted behind a huge bouquet of colorful lillies. They quickly kept the flowers aside on the floor and brought a dumbstruck Gauri into their arms, almost crushing her rib bones in the process.

"Oh!", Gauri breathed out, her eyes popping out from the force.
"Guys! Lemme breathe!", Gauri gasped out trying to breathe in oxygen.

"Oh! I am so sorry - I mean - we are sorry! Hum zara excitement me zyada...sorry...sorry.." Shwetha let go of Gauri, who took in a long breath and let it out. Then she looked tearfully at them and smiled widely.

"Thanks yaar! Main tum dono ko hi yaad kar rahi thi! Chalo, andar aao. Hum log room ke bahar khare hokar hi baatein kar rahe hai."

After 2 hours:

"Agar ye Omkara Singh Oberoi kahi mil jay na to mai iska khoon kar dunga!" Rohan seethes, after listening to Gauri's marriage history.

Gauri spoke as she let out bitter tears in Shwetha's arms. "Ek pal tha, jab main apni saari zindagi inke saath aankh band karke bitaane ke liye raazi thi.. par aaj..."

"Tu pagal hai kya?! Jisne tujhe samjhe bagair tere baare me itne galat raay bana liye..tujhe itna khara khota sunaya... tu kaise is shaks ke zindagi beetane ka soch rahi thi?!" Rohan shouted at her.

"Bhaiya, zindagi me jo bhi hota hai na...sab Shivji ke kripa se hota hai... Unhone hi sabse aiyn waqt pe hume bachane ke liye Omkaraji ko bheja tha.. Agar Omkaraji waha nahi hote.. to shaayad aaj main aapke beech yahan zinda bhi nahi rehti... Unhone humare saath jaisa bhi bartaav kiya ho.. unka humare upar bohot bara ehsaan hai. Ye hum nazar andaz to nahi kar sakhte na?"

"Woh to sahi kaha hai Gauri ne.. Rohan aap zara thande dimag se soche hume ab kya karna chahiye... " Shwetha ne apne pati se kaha.

"Aur kya karna hoga? Agar shaadi hui hai to hume court me in dono ke divorce ke liye file karna hoga." Rohan said plainly.

"Divorce?" Gauri whispered, looking towards her brother tearfully.

"Haan. Agar tumhe is shaks ke saath zindagi nahi bitaani hai to usse chutkara paane ka sirf ek hi option hai - aur wo hai talaaq."

Gauri sat straight. She kept on looking forward blankly as she thought through what he had just mentioned right now.

Talaaq

The thought of getting permanently separated from Omkara was... heart-crushing. Even though they had lived apart from each other for over a year and had not imagined of meeting each other again... the fact that by Shivji's wish Omkaraji and her marriage had taken place under such dire circumstances, was enough for her to live by. Which is why she hadn't thought of dating other guys even though she had received many proposals. She knew she had to move on someday... perhaps someday in the future..

"I... I need some time to think through this." Gauri whispered.

Rohan and Shwetha looked at each other worriedly. They hadn't expected this answer from her. Rather they thought that she would be eager to get separated from that man.

"Thik hai. Let's... let's just drop this topic right now. Aaj Gauri ki birthday hai. Itne ache occassion pe hum itni serious//e topic leke discussion kar rahe hai. Enough with that. Hum ye sochte hai ki aj ka plan kya hai. And by-the-way Gauri, tum kal meeting pe jaogi. And that's that. Jo kuch bhi ho jay you needn't show your weakness to him. Act like tumhe usse koi faraq hi nahi padta. Got it? After you get back from your meeting, we will head to a dance club. It's gonna be a treat from us. And then the next day we are going for shopping, phir hum Delhi wapas chale jayenge! Ok? This is our plan! Keep it in mind! Ab tum jaake so jayo! Hum bhi apne room me chale jaate hai sone, alright. If you need anything, call us immediately. Love you, jaan. So take care. Ok? Goodnight." Shwetha kissed Gauri's forehead and gave her a tight hug before standing up to head to her room with Rohan.

The next day:

Today was the last meeting day. It was gonna be a really short one. Today she had to sign on the contract papers of the deal along with Omkara Singh Oberoi who dealt this department of their business.

Damn. She was gonna meet him again.

She was sitting in her seat browsing through Facebook in her phone, when Omkara entered the room. They had been waiting for him.

He sure liked to keep people waiting for him. Gauri thought as she rolled her eyes inwardly.

"Ahem." A throat clearing sound came from next to her. She looked up to see Omkara seated beside her. He looked calm. Prepared to be precise.

Without responding she looked back down to her phone.

"Tumhe yaad hai na, maine kal kya kaha tha?" Omkara asked her in a low voice.

Gauri looked up to see him smirking at her.

She glared at him and didn't bother to reply to his question.

She knew exactly what she had to do right now.

Looking at him with her poker face on, in a clear voice she said,

"We need to talk."

Part 6 - Deal

Find me on Wattpad as well. As DeewaniMastaani08. I am having problems linking pictures to the posts in this website. If you would like to have a sneak-peak of how they look, as per my imagination then you can head over there as well. 😆

"So. Kya baat karni thi? Agar mujhe date pe bulaana chahti thi, you could have just asked instead of ordering me, you know." Omkara said to Gauri as they sat in a cozy cafe next to their meeting place.

"Mujhe divorce chahiye." Gauri stated calmly, looking into his eyes.

Omkara quickly took in a breath which sent him to a set of coughs.

"W*F?! Tum hosh me to ho? Yeh tum kya bakwaas kar rahi ho?!" Omkara asked her furiously. looking at her with hot angry eyes that for a moment made Gauri want to quiver in fear and apologize to him.

No. That Gauri is dead. I am not that Gauri anymore. I don't bend to anyone's will anymore.

Gauri took a deep breath and looked calmly into his eyes and repeated, "Mujhe talaaq chahiye tumse."

Omkara's shoulder drooped and he bent his head downwards.

"Mujhe pata tha that there might be a possibility ki tum mujhse talaaq maango gi ek din. Is liye main iske liye already prepared tha. Lekin I didn't expect you to ask for divorce so early." Omkara sighed and looked at her. "Do you really want it? Kya tum mujhe ek aur mauka nahi de sakti?" He asked her pleadingly.

"Omkara... I am not ready for this.. Frankly, mere life me male companions ke experience bilkul zero hai. Aur jo bhi the it was with you and Kaali Thakur. Aur dono hi bad experience the. I am sorry, but I am not ready to get entwined into a relationship or marriage. Mai ab apne zindagi me aage bar chuki hu. Mai ab wo ladki nahi hu jo kisi ke bhi baat maankar chal padti thi. I want to live my life to the fullest. Aur uske liye I need to let go off my past. And you are directly connected to my past. So, please try to understand..." Gauri explained to Omkara, what was going through her head.

She felt light after all she said because finally, she has come into terms with what she wanted in her life. Even though a year has passed, the way she was living, keeping her feelings towards Omkara bottled up, and not let anyone take his place - or even try to - in her heart, wasn't the way to live.

"Theek hai. Main tumhe talaaw dunga. Par ek shart par." Omkara finally said.

"You know I can just demand an annulment from the court. We don't have to do this shart and all of this stuff.." Gauri said to Omkara, slightly angry by the way he still wanted to take advantage of her somehow.

"Haan, aur puri duniya ko announce kar do that Amoreouz fashion brand ki owner is Omkara Singh Oberoi's wife. That would be a really great idea. Main chaahu to tumhe divorce bhi na du. What do you want, Mrs. Oberoi?" Omkara asked Gauri, sarcastically.

It feels so good to hear him call her his wife. Gauri blinks her eyes to clear her thoughts.

"Theek hai. Kya shart hai?"

"Yahi ki tum meri biwi bankar aur ek saal rahogi, mere saath, mere ghar me. Aur to aur raatko hume ek hi kamra share karna parega. So, what do you say?" Omkara looked at her, raising his eyebrows and folding his arms against his chest.

Gauri kept on looking at Omkara with her mouth agape.
Isse baat karke koi faayda nahi. Ab isse mera bhai hi deal karega.
She shook her head and stood up from the table and started walking out of the cafe.

Omkara quickly got up and followed her.
It has started to become a natural habit for him. Kya kehte hai log - haan - 'Joru ka Gulaam'.

He quickly caught up to her in the parking lot and grasped her wrist once again and turned her towards him. The force caused her to lose her balance and steading herself by positioning her two hands on his chest with a 'thump'.

They stood for a while in that position with her eyes closed and Omkara looking upon her with his hands on her waist. He got closer to her face and blew off the wayward hair that had come upon her face when she had turned. Gauri then slowly opened her eyes and looked up.

She gasped. He was so close. And so handsome.. She wished she could run her fingers over his stubble and perhaps kiss..

They both came out of their reverie as they realized they were way too close to each other for a couple who were about to get divorced.

Omkara cleared his throat and removed his hands from her waist and stepped a bit backwards while Gauri blushed scarlet, as she realized her own thoughts. What was happening to her?!

"Main tumhe kal tak ka time dunga. You let me know. I will call you on your phone." Omkara said, after momentarily calming his heartbeat.

"But aapke paas humara number nahi hai.. So aap kaise..." Gauri wondered aloud.

"Tum uski mat chinta karo. I have my ways." Omkara said, slightly smirking towards her.

"Oh. I get it. You are gonna stalk me now. And by-the-way, I am leaving for Delhi tomorrow. Main waha rehti hun."

"It doesn't matter. You will have come back to Mumbai anyways." Omkara shrugged.

"Why on earth will I come back to Mumbai again? Meri sab business dealings khatam ho chuki hai. Ab mera yaha par kya kaam?" Gauri asked Omkara, confusedly.

"Mere ghar rehne ke liye, ofcourse." Omkara said as he grinned at her, while slowly walking towards his car.

What. The. Hell. Gauri thought as she watched him leave.

Part 7 - Swap

A/N: Sorry for the late update. Let's get ahead then!

Find me on Wattpad as well. As DeewaniMastaani08. I am having problems linking pictures to the posts in this website. If you would like to have a sneak-peak of how they look, as per my imagination then you can head over there as well. 😆

"Bhaiya, ab kya karu main? Use kya jawaab dun? Usne aaj hi ka waqt diya hai. I can't believe, wo aaj bhi sabkuch apne mutabik kar raha hai. As if I don't have a choice!" Gauri ranted furiously to Rohan and Shwetha, who sat in her hotel room.

"Gauri tum zara chalna band karogi! Mera sar ghum raha hai!" Rohan said pleadingly to Gauri who kept on creating a hole on the hotel room carpet as she paced around the room in anger.

"Haan Gauri. Tu baith ja zara. Tujhe dekhkar aur tere us pati ke baate sunkar to mere bhi sar chakra rahi hai.." Shwetha said, as she rested her head on Rohan's shoulder.

"Woh mera pati nahi hai!" Gauri shouted furiously at them amd stood in front of them with her hands on her hips.

"Haan. Ye jaake zara court me jaake bataiyo ga!" Rohan said sarcastically, as he rolled his eyes heavenward.

Gauri sighed in defeat and looked at them pleadingly.
"Kya hum kuch nahi kar sakte? Main uske saath ek hi kamre me, ek hi chath ke neeche aur woh bhi ek saal ke liye kaise reh sakti hun?!"

"Tere paas ab ek hi option hai. Aur woh hai uski baat maanna." Rohan said calmly to Gauri, waiting for her outburst.

"What?!" Gauri shouted at him, disbelievingly as she couldn't believe what she was hearing.

"Yes. Lekin, we will have to be defensive on our own. Hume apni bhi kuch sharte rakhni paregi. When we come into a mutual agreement, only then - tu uske ghar me pair rakhegi. We will have to trick him. We will have to present him with some legal document papers. Tujhe bas kaise bhi karke usse wo papers sign karwaane hai, and then we are all set. We will tell him, the papers are some legal documents that will ensure that he doesn't back away from his deal. Lekin - usme aur bhi kuch hoga, that we won't mention. That is - One, about your Sleeping Arrangements - tum dono ek kamra share nahi kar paoge and Second, that you both can't be allowed to stay in a room on your own without a third person present. Which will allow you to stay away from him as much as you can and still complete his shart by staying at his house for a year." Rohan narrated his plan to Gauri and Shwetha.

They both looked amazed after listening to his plan.

"Bhaiya aapne kya zabardast idea bola hai! Isse to main usse dur bhi reh paaungi aur uske sharte bhi puri karungi! Wah! Thank you!" Gauri squealed as she hugged Rohan tightly.

*******************************

Gauri was sitting in the same cafe where she and Omkara had talked the previous day, as she waited for Omkara. She had called him to meet her, saying she had made her decision and that she wanted to relay it to him face-to-face.

He once again walked into the cafe with a swagger of a man who was well-prepared.

Not today, Mr. Oberoi. Gauri thought with a smirk. She covered her smile behind her mug from which she had been drinking coffee all this while.

"So what's your decision? Kya tumne faisla kar liya hai ki tum meri sharto ko manogi?" Omkara asked her with a smug smile on his face.

"Yes. Lekin tumhe bhi kuch formalities puri karni hogi." Gauri said as she kept the legal documents in front of Omkara.

"What's all this?"Omkara asked with a confused look on his face.

"Yeh kuch legal documents hai jisme likha hai ki tum apni sharte last moment pe nahi badlo ge and that it would be exactly a year that I will have to stay with you and not more than that." Gauri explained it to him without any expression on her face, expecting him to start shouting at her. But then, nothing happens according to her imagination, does it? Because, instead of getting shocked or angry - maybe a bit surprised - he laughed. That too, hysterically. What. The. Hell.

Gauri slowly started getting irked by his so-called-sense of humor, because in her opinion this wasn't a laughing matter. Damn it.

She was just about to give him a piece of her mind when he stopped laughing and looked at her with a serious expression.

"You're really clever, Gauri. You should have studied to be a lawyer. Alright. Tumhare liye, main ye bhi kar deta hun. Uske pehle mujhe ek cup coffee to peelao!" Omkara said while smiling at her.

"Theek hai. Peelati hun." Gauri said as she called for a waiter.

As they waited for his coffee Omkara asked about where she lived and with whom. Gauri grudgingly answered all of his questions.

The waiter arrived with the coffee just a couple minutes later. Just as he was about to set it in front of Omkara, he tripped and the cup fell on the table in Gauri's side causing most of the hot coffee to fall upon Gauri's lap.

Gauri quickly got up with a slight yelp, and started wiping off the coffee from her dress with the tissues which were set on the table.

Omkara started shouting at the waiter as he kept on apologizing to Gauri.

Gauri finally gave up, and motioned to Omkara that she was gonna head to the washroom to try to wipe off the coffee from her dress. Omkara gave her a nod to show that he understood her.

After about fifteen minutes Gauri arrived to the table and sat down with a sigh.

"Are you done with your coffee now? Now, can we sign on the papers?" Gauri asked Omkara.

"Yup." Omkara said, as he took out his pen and signed on the papers.

After Gauri signed her name, Omkara smiled.

"Can I have a look? I have never seen your signature.."Omkara asked while bringing the papers towards him. "Tumhara phone mil sakta hai ek minute ke liye?"
Gauri gave him her phone with a confused look on her face.
Ab ye kya karne wala hai?

"Legal papers bohot carefully handle karni chahiye. Kabhi bhi... kuch bhi ho sakta hai." Omkara said slowly as he took pictures of the documents on her phone. After finishing, he handed her phone back to her.
"Ab ye papers mere paas rahengi. Thank you for signing them. Ye lo...jo papers tum lai thi tumhare saath.." Omkara took out another set of papers and kept it in front of the Gauri.

Gauri looked through the papers and raised her panicked eyes to his face. "Ye yaha kaise?! Lekin maine to..."

"Haan, you had brought a different set of papers with you and these are way differen from them. Tum abhi washroom gayi thi, right? I had swapped the documents by the time you came back. Ye waiter logo ko kuch paise offer kar do aur wo kuch bhi karne ke liye raazi ho jate hai! I am sorry. I hope that the coffee wasn't too hot.

You thought that you could trick me - by making me sign to your papers that says that I can't stay in a room with you without a third person present in the room and that we can't share the same bedroom. It was a good shot though. But I had come prepared. Jab bhi tum socho ge ki tum mujhe pappu bana paaoge, main tumse already one step ahead rahunga.

Mujhe pata tha ki tum mere saath itne aasani se nahi aane wali. Is liye maine mere kuch logon ko tum pe nazar rakhne ke liye bheja. They informed me that tum mujhse aise kuch papers sign karwane wali ho jisse hum paas nahi ho payenge. But alas! Tumhara plan tum pe hi fail ho gaya. Kehte hai na - Everything's fair in Love and War. And - why don't you have a look at the documents that we have actually signed?" Omkara asked her with an excited look on his face.

Gauri looked up with an ashen expression on her face to him after reading through the papers.

"Main batata hun. Isme clauses ye hai ki we will have to share a room, that too a single bed. Moreover, isme likha hai ki if the husband wants to have marital relation - matlab to tumhe pata hi hoga - with the wife, then they can do it... Apne Rohan bhaiya ko zara ye papers dikha dena... Agar woh mujhe trick karne ki koshish nahi karte to shaayad, ye sab aaj nahi hota. Khair, jo bhi ho. I think tum agle hafte se mere ghar rehne ke liye aa sakti ho... I have already informed my family members. They are really excited to meet you. So, what do you say?" Omkara asked as he smiled at her with his smug look on his face.

Gauri had only one thought running through her head:

Ab phas hi gayi chiraiyya...

PS: Whoa. What a long chapter! I think this is to make-up for yesterday's lack of update. Hope you will like it.

Part 8 - Grah Pravesh

Find me on Wattpad as well. As DeewaniMastaani08. I am having problems linking pictures to the posts in this website. If you would like to have a sneak-peak of how they look, as per my imagination then you can head over there as well. 😆

Gauri sat between Rohan and Shwetha, with her head resting on Shwetha's shoulder, as she contemplated about her upcoming future.

She had returned back to the hotel in a trance. She couldn't remember anything after the moment when she read those switched documents. Could she call what Omkara did a treachery? Then what was she doing? Wasn't she doing exactly the same thing? She just got bested by Omkara and that's it.

Gauri sighed. Now she couldn't do anything but pray. Pray that a year with Omkara and his family passes peacefully without any difficulties. And then, she can be free of him. Just as she had wanted.

"We need to go shopping for Gauri's clothes and jewelleries. We need to prepare her for..." Shwetha whispered.

"No. We don't need to. Main us ghar me bahu bankar sirf ek samjhaute ke darje se jaa rahi hun. Sirf ek saal ke liye. Waha apna ghar basaane nahi ja rahi. Ek saal khatam ho jayega, to mujhe unse divorce pakar chutkara bhi mil jayega. To phir in sab cheezo ki kya faayda? Mere paas jo hai, main unse ki kaam chalalungi." Gauri said to both of them in a monotonic voice.

"I am sorry, Gauri. Main tere liye kuch nahi kar paaya. Main tera bhai hone ka farz pura nahi kar saka. I am really sorry...Mujhe maaf kar do. " Rohan said to Gauri, shaking his head.

Gauri turned to Rohan and looked at him directly.
"Bhaiya is me aapki koi galti nahi hai. Hume kya pata tha ki Omkara humare peeche uska jasoos bhejne wala hai.. Khair. Jo bhi ho... hume sirf abhi aage ka sochne hai. Ab mujhe kaise bhi karke uske saath ek saal peacefully spend karna hai. And then, mujhe usse chutkara mil jayega aur meri zindagi me phirse sabkuch normal ho jayega."

There was a loud knock at her room's door which caused all three of them to startle a bit.

Rohan cleared his throat as he got up from the bed and said, "I'll see who is there."

Gauri and Shwetha sat quietly next to each other when no sound seemed to come from the front door. They both looked at each other worriedly when suddenly Rohan came back, looking pissed.

"Gauri, tujhse koi milne aaya hai." Rohan spoke curtly.

"Kaun, bhaiya?" Gauri asked, looking confused.

"Mr. Oberoi tumse kuch khaas baatein akele me karna chahte hai. So, I think main aur Shwetha apne room me chale jaate hain. And Gauri, if you anything just call me. Alright? I'm just a call away.", Rohan said, as he looked at Gauri for her confirmation.

Gauri nodded her head. She knew if she asked him to stay with her, he wouldn't dare step out of the room. But now, she had to face her problems herself. She couldn't depend on other people forever, could she?

After Rohan and Shwetha left the room, their was an awkward silence in the room.

"Jahan tak ki mujhe yaad hai, tum.. bohot bolti thi." Omkara said, as he tried to make conversation between them.

"Time aksar logon ko badal deti hai. So... tum yahan kaise? I am not even going to ask tumhe meri address kaha se mili.." Gauri asked Omkara.

"Woh, Daadi ne kuch rasme rakhi hui hai kal duphair ko... Haldi..Mehendi ka rasam.. jo bhi kehte hai.. Tumhe aur tumhare relatives ko invite karne aaya hun." Omkara said nervously.

"Kya yeh sab karna zaroori hai? I mean, hum ek saal baad divorced ho jayenge phir in sab ka kya faayda?" Gauri asked Omkara, frustratedly.

"Meri dadi ki health bohot kharaab hai.. she might not even last a year.. Unki last wish yeh hai ki woh mera ghar basaaya hua dekhe. Meri shaadi me shaamil ho sake. And that's what I'm gonna do...give her the chance to witness my marriage. Even if it's all fake." Omkara said, his voice turning into a whisper at the end. Gauri noticed he looked almost as if... he was sad...

Gauri shook her head.

"So yeh sab kuch tum unke liye kar rahe ho, huh?" Gauri asked him with an expression that was unreadable. Andar hi andar woh Omkara se impressed mehsoos kar rahi thi. Lekin wo use dikhana nahi chahti thi.

"Yes." Omkara said softly, giving her a gentle smile.

Gauri was really confused now. Was this the same man she had met a year ago in Bareilly? This man, so sweet and caring, who could do anything for his loved one - even have a contractual marriage...

And that man... she shivered, thinking about that particular personality of Omkara that she had come upon in Bareilly.

"Theek hai.. hum chale aayenge.." Gauri said finally.

"Thank you. Really. It means a lot to me." Omkara thanked her once again, smiling at her thankfully.

"You're welcome... Main yeh.. sirf.. tumhari dadi ke liye kar rahi hun.." Gauri said, slightly embarassed by his humble behaviour.

Omkara gave her an unusual smile which warmed her insides.

"I should go.. Kal milte hai.. Aur kal ke function ke kapre aur jewelleries kal subha bhej diye jayenge. See you." Omkara said as he started to leave.

"See you." Gauri whispered to his retreating back.

*******************************

The next day

Gauri arrived at the Oberoi Mansion with Rohan and Shwetha donned with the dresses and jewelleries provided by them. They themselves brought some gifts for everyone, flowers and sweets with them as per the tradition. They had sent the groom's gifts separately early in the morning.

They were welcomed by the entire family. She was embraced by each one of them and given blessings. She kept on fidgeting nervously as she sat next to Anika bhabi and Bhavya. She didn't realize the reason until her eyes fell upon Omkara. He looks.. so handsome..

Gauri blushed as she realized she was ogling her so-called husband and turned further an intense red when she saw Omkara doing the same.

Rudra, Omkara's youngest brother cleared his throat, quite loudly as he asked, wriggling his eyebrows with a wide grin on his face,"Aap log aankhon hi aankhon se baat karte rahenge to hum rasme kab complete karenge?"

"Oh khote, kyun sata raha hai meri nayi bahu ko? Idhar aa mere paas puttar!" Dadi scolded Rudra, as she waited for Gauri to come to her.

Gauri shyly went towards Dadi who was seated beside Omkara and sat next to her.

"Kinni soni lag rahi meri bahu. Kisi ki nazar na lage. Jhanvi, wo anguthiyon ke dibbe aur woh kangan ke dibbe rakhne diye the na... Teen o zara leke aana." Dadi said to Jhanvi.

"Maa, teen o boxes mere paas hai - ye lijiye." Jhanvi smiled and held out the boxes to Dadi, who took it from her and got up from her seat saying, "Bahu tu Omkara ke paas baith ja."

"Ji." Gauri said shyly as she got up and sat next to Omkara.

"Ab tum dono ye anguthiyan ek dusre ko pehnao." Dadi gave the rings to them.

Gauri looked at Omkara, who gave her a gentle smile.

They put rings on their partner's fingers, respectively. Everyone clapped as the ring ceremony was over.

Then came the mehedi and haldi rasam.

When the mehedi designer asked her the name of her husband, that she was supposed to inscribe on her palm, she hesitated for a moment. And then she whispered, "Omkara".

She looked up to see that Omkara had witnessed the scene, as he talked with Shivaay, Rudra and Rohan. And he sort of looked... elated.

After all the ceremonies were done and the Kul Gotr puja her name was entered into the family book.

Gauri felt as if someone had grabbed her heart tightly that she couldn't breathe. She felt so guilty. Because she was playing with each and everyone's feelings. Specially Dadi. Moreover her name was entered officially in a book, where it was supposed to be the name of their real bahu. Not her.

Guilt was slowly suffocating her, so much that she stepped out to the pool room for a while. She didn't know how she got past others, but she didn't care anymore. She just needed some fresh air.

She sat in front of the pool, gazing forward, when she heard footsteps coming towards her.

"Gauri. Tum theek ho?" It was Omkara. He then slowly sat next to her and looked at her.

"I just needed some air. Hum... jo kar rahe hai.. woh bohot galat hai.. Hum unke bhaavnao ke saath khilwaar kar rahe hai... Jab unhe pata chale ga ki hum sirf - " Gauri said tearfully when Omkara interrupted.

" Sabko pata hai humare baare me."

"Kya?! Phir ye sab rasme? Kisliye Omkaraji?!"

"Dadi ka wishwaas. Aaj tak Dadi ne jo kaha hai, wahi sach hota aaya hai.. Aur unka maanna hai ki... hum dono ek dusre ke liye bane hai.. Is liye woh mujhse tumhe ghar laane ka zidd kar rahi thi. Aur wo bhi mere biwi ke haq se." Omkara explained to her, quietly as she listened.

Gauri let out a breath. Atleast she didn't need to feel guilty.

"Agar unki baat sahi nahi hui to?" Gauri asked him, gazing into his eyes.

"Aisa kabhi ho hi nahi sakta." Omkara gave her that smile, that curled her insides and made her want to kiss -

"Oh! To tum dono yaha baithkar romance kar rahe ho? Waha rasme puri kaun karega?" Rudra shouted as he barged in the room, breaking them out of their reverie. Both blushed scarlet as they looked everywhere but themselves.

What was happening to them?

*******************************

After the wedding

"Aaja bahu. Is rasam ko kehte hai Grah-Pravesh. Yeh bohot se jagao me badi kadak se maana jaata hai. Ek hone wali bahu ko is rasam ke pehle apne sasural me pair rakhne ka anumati nahi diya jaata tha, uske hone wale pati se milna mana tha. Yeh hum sab nahi maante. Yeh rasam to sirf hum parampara ko is jug me jagaay rakhne ke liye karte hai. Ab tu is thokri ko apne daay pair se feke gi. Phir is thaali me pair rakhegi. Aur phir is safed chaadar ke upar se chal ke andar jaayegi. Thik hai na puttar." Dadi explained the rasam to Gauri, who didn't object even though she knew the tradition by-heart.

After she walked over the white sheet imprinting it with her red-colored footprints, she looked up to Omkara, who stood beside her and was looking down upon her.

Humare raaste ab ek ho chuke hai, Omkaraji.

PS: Whew. A very very long chapter. Almost 2k words.

Part 9 - Suhaag Raat

Find me on Wattpad as well. As DeewaniMastaani08. I am having problems linking pictures to the posts in this website. If you would like to have a sneak-peak of how they look, as per my imagination then you can head over there as well. 😆

After all the ceremonies were complete and the guests had returned, it was only the newly wed couple and their family members.

"Nayi bahu ko ab room me le jana sahi hoga. Kinni sukhi lag rahi hai. Araam karegi to theek ho jayegi. Phir kal to iski rasoi ki rasm bhi karni hogi. Jaldi soyegi tabhi to uth payegi savere savere.." Dadi said to everyone.

"Kya dadi aap unhe itni jaldi unke room me bhej rahi hai! Unko to waise bhi room me hi to jaana padega! Aakhir aaj unki special night jo hai!" Rudra said while wagging his eyebrows at the newly wed couple. While the groom glared at him furiously, the bride blushed crimson and looked down, embarassed.

"Rudra, bohot teasing ho gayi hai. Hume ab Gauri ko rest karne dena chahiye. I think we should call it a night. Jao Om, take her upstairs." Shivaay said to Omkara, who got up and forwarded his hand to Gauri.

Gauri looked up, meeting his eyes in the process. She nervously took his hand and stood up.

Omkara led her upstairs, past a few couple rooms when they paused in front a room, exactly at the end of the hallway. Omkara looked at her as he pushed open the door. He pulled her in as he stepped into the room.

Both stood still for a moment as they looked at the decorations of the room. It looked spectacular. Beautiful. So beautiful, that it was perfect... perfect for a newly-wed couple. But then...what were they? They had just got married for a second time. This time with all the traditions and rituals and their relatives present.

Gauri's heart raced as she remembered the contract papers she had signed. The last clause, to be exact -

If the husband wants to have a marital relationship with the wife, he can have with or without the wife's consent.

Omkara cleared his throat and said to Gauri, " Main.. servant se kamra saaf karwa deta hun. Tum chinta mat karo. Servant se keh dunga ki tumhe in phool o se allergy hai. Tum jaake kapre badal lo.. fresh ho jao. Phir tum bed pe so jaana. Main sofe par so jaaunga."

Gauri looked up at him confused. Didn't he say he would... She immediately stopped thinking over it. Jo bhi ho! Mujhe to shukr mehsoos karna chahiye ki wo mere saath zabardasti nahi karne wala hai. But.. she felt... disappointed. She had a distinct feeling if he had wanted to do it with her, she would have given in easily.

"Main zara... ek minute me aaya.." Omkara said, and immediately went out of the room.

Shaayad servants ko bulaane gaya hoga. Gauri thought as she picked up her luggage and raised it on the bed. She took out her comfy night dress out. She paused and thought as she looked over her night dress once again.
Night dress zyada revealing to nai hai.. Khair chodo! Main uske liye apni clothing system kyun change karu? Use jo samajhna hai, wo samjhe! Mujhe isse kya faraq padta hai. Waise bhi woh mere saath kuch karne waala to hai nai..

She immediately stopped overthinking as she zipped up her luggage and kept it down. She finally headed for the washroom to get out of the heavy lehenga that she had been wearing almost for the entire day.

*******************************

Omkara on the other had sent a servant to his room to get rid of the decorations as fast as they can, because he didn't want Gauri to feel uncomfortable.

He sat in the pool room to get his head cleared.

Damn it. Usne gharwalon already bataya hua tha ye sab karne ki koi zarurat nahi hai.. Agar use Gauri ka dil jeetna hai to sabkuch uske mutaabik hona chahiye. And he could clearly see that she wasn't ready to take that step. And he wasn't quite sure himself if he wanted to... even though some parts of him disagreed.

He sighed and got up. He was nervous - about what he would have to face at the other side of his room's door.

*******************************

Gauri had just finished changing into her nightdress after her long hot shower. She came out carefully as she held out her lehanga in front of her. And as she hanged it in the almirah, she vaguely noticed that the room was cleared off the decorations and now it looked quite normal.

She was just brushing her hair when Omkara came inside the room. After locking the door behind him, he stood gazing at her.

She gasped and stood still, pausing in her action.

Omkara flushed red as he cleared his throat nervously and said loudly, "Main.. woh.. I.. I'll just go and take a shower..."

Omkara walked towards the almirah and after taking out his T-shirt and Pyjamas, he literally ran into the washroom.

Gauri continued to look at the washroom door - behind which Omkara was currently taking a shower - with wide eyes as she thought, Isko ab kya hua hai?

She shook her head and quickly finished brushing her hair. She laid down on the right side of the bed and contemplated waiting for Omkara to come out of his shower. But as her head touched the pillow, her eyes closed on their own accord and she fell into a deep sleep.

Omkara stepped out of the washroom while drying his hair with his towel, when his eyes fell upon his sleeping wife. He quietly walked to her side and stood gazing at her.

She looks so peaceful. Gauri... Main ab tumhe apni dil ki baat to nahi bata sakta. Lekin I hope tumhe jald hi samajh aa jay ki mai tumhe bohot chahne laga hun. Aur main puri koshish karunga ki maine jo galti ek saal pehle ki thi...use sudhaar saku. Aur tumhara dil jeet pau.

He slowly bends down and kisses her forehead before grabbing his pillow and walking towards the sofa that was gonna be his slumber place for the near future.

PS: And that's a wrap for today. Hope you will like it. Show your love by liking it and in the comment section.

Love. Shaba-Khair.
