And you gathered that how? Have you met all the people? For every ten people you meet who would talk about how nepotism favored Kangana, there would ne hundreds who would not even care about the whole debate.., the fact is such controversies and debates remain restricted to the so called bubbles alone.. People outside of these bubbles do not even care a bit about who said what..
As for her performance, of course it made the film better but it was not her performance that drew people to theater for sure.. No body went to watch Queen because they heard what a phenomenal performance Kangana had given.. they went because they heard what a good movie it was
If you go on any social media, whether it be twitter or even youtube, I have seen nothing but praise for Kang on the nepotism issue. And even if you disregard that, do you really think general public is going to go Wah Wah Karan and praise his "nepotism rocks" rhetoric with the struggles every Indian faces for jobs and such. It is not even about whether people like Kang over Karan, it is about whether they relate to the evils of nepotism in any industry.
and nobody watching the film because of kangana's performance? That's the biggest JOKE I have ever heard. So that's why she won a national award? If the film was good and her performance was nothing to write home about, why didn't she just get a certificate like sonam did? and why did she overnight become a huge star from that movie? And I'm sure all those reviews praising Kangana to the sky for that movie did not suddenly disappear. It was the character Rani which you were supposed to relate to, from her emotional journey. And Kangana's great acting was the primarily reason you could relate to what Rani was going through. Take her out and put any other actress, it would still have been a good film, but not the sensation it became. I understand not liking an actress, but to disregard her breakout performance? Yeah, not going to sail with that. 😆
