This is a strategy. If movie does not work we can easily say it was no promoted and so did not do well. If it works without promotions it is a win-win.

They should start promoting this week and next week... since its nearing the date of release!! Seems like Kangana is back and now at interviews... and not just basic interviews but interviews with people who want to have more a conversation then just asking who is the hottest actor in Bollywood blah blah

Gentlemen cast did promotion of dance 3+, drama company and what it got 3.7cr opening, so promotion doesnt matter. they might have spent 10 cr in promotion so the net is negative. controlling budget is important, they can start promotion 2 week from release, so they don't over spend. if the movie is good it will do well. all my friends are waiting for this movie, we can blindly trust her movie, she will be definitely good in it.

There is a difference between no promotions and no buzz. Currently, I don't see anyone talking about the movie much except the people on Bollywood Forum coz obviously people who are here are interested in bollywood more than others and hence the knowledge.

But 3 weeks are good enough to promote a movie and create ample buzz and when it comes to Kangana, she just needs a shikaar on whose back she can ride to promote her movie and internet will start again with its #SlayQueen but yeah that cannot guarantee movie's success.

More than promotions, these kind of movies depend on a good trailer to generate interest (Simran trailer was quite intriguing) and positive word of mouth. They don't need a long promotional schedule.
