Since some of you wanted a closure on this story, I will just give you the entire plot-line that I had once so enthusiastically planned for this story:
Until now, we had seen how a commitment-phobic Gauri and passionate Omkara had been attracted to each other, purely on a physical basis. Gauri has had a troubled past, owing to the lack of attention from her Business-minded Father- Indravadhan Sharma and the cruel treatment from her step-mother - Niharika Sharma. Gauri Sharma was once in a relationship with Samar Rana, which ended pretty ugly due to her fear of getting committed. She believes she is capable of love, and needs a baby in her life. For this reason, she has made up her mind to get pregnant via artificial insemination through a random sperm donor at the sperm bank.
Gauri works in the HR department in Tej Singh Oberoi's office, who is pretty fond of her and treats her more like a daughter. Omkara on the other hand, is a self-made artist-turned businessman, who had had his fair share of girls when staying in London. Gauri's best friend Annika is married to Shivaay, who is Om's cousin. Another friend of Gauri- Bhavya is engaged to Rudra, who is another cousin of Om.
As fate would have it, Om and Gauri click from the word Go, and the building sexual tension between them leads them to fulfill each other's bodily desires. Amidst the mind-blowing sexual encounters, gradually Om falls for Gauri, who is aware of his feelings, but keeps distance. In the meantime, it is revealed to the readers that Gauri's mom had committed suicide due to a major row with Indravadhan. After a heated argument with her father, Gauri leaves the house, and visits Omkara to stay over for the night as she has no other place to go.
The next night, the media has leaked pictures of Gauri leaving Omkara's house with headlines that call her various names, questioning her character. The news shatters Indravadhan Sharma, who gets a heart attack. In the hospital, Gauri visits him out of courtesy and he apologises to her for all the times he had made her feel ignored, and tells her that no matter what, she will always be his daughter, and that he loves her a lot. With this, he closes his eyes and passes away. Gauri, numbed with shock and hurt by Niharika's spiteful words, goes to Omkara and mentions that she is the reason the Indravadhan died, calling herself as a murderer.

Gauri would not attend her Dad's funeral since Niharika will ask her to, at least, let Indravadhan be buried in peace, since she was the reason that he passed away. Gauri painfully obliges but is hurt that she could not bid farewell to her late Father. Omkara helps Gauri to overcome her grief, which eventually makes Gauri fall for Omkara, However she chooses not express the same to him due to her underlying fears. Indravadhan's will-reading reveals a shocking secret: 90% of his assets are left in Gauri's name. Niharika, in a fit of rage that she is left with mere 10%, reveals the ugly truth to Gauri, breaking the vow of silence that she had once made to her dead husband.
It is revealed that Gauri is her late mother- Shalini's illegitimate child. Shalini had an affair with someone else despite being married to Indravadhan and Gauri is a result of the same. Post marriage, Shalini wished to go back to her lover, but Indra refused to give her a divorce and oblige. Indravadhan had asked her to stay back for young Gauri, but she had refused to listen, asking Indra to take care of Gauri if he was so worried about the child. Indravadhan had refused to let his wife go, come what may. Finally, not willing to live with indravadhan, Shalini had committed suicide, without caring about Gauri, just because she couldn't go back to her lover. Indra had taken up little-Gauri's responsibility, even though she reminded him of his wife's infidelity. He loved Gauri dearly, but couldn't ever come to accepting her whole-heartedly, due to the pain caused to his heart by Shalini.
Gauri is shattered with this truth. Niharika spitefully says to Gauri, calling her a wretched curse, that even her own mom din't want her, and that her dad died because of her. These words break her completely, making her believe that she is not capable of being loved, and does not deserve any love from anyone. In midst of it all, Ishana and Omkara are introduced to each other. Omkara is not aware of the talks of his marriage with Ishana. And when Jhanvi tells him about the same, Omkara says he loves Gauri. The Oberois are shocked.
In the meantime, Gauri resigns from Tej's office and begins to keep distance from Omkara. Annika tells Gauri about the IshKara marriage matter. Gauri, though hurt beyond repair at this point, feels that it's best that Omkara and Ishana get married, because she is now sure that, when she wasn't worth loving by her own mother, she just couldn't keep anyone else happy. Omkara pleads Gauri to marry him, but Gauri, in an attempt to push him away from her, says she doesn't love him, and whatever they shared was just a fling. Omkara breaks down at this point.
Days later, Gauri discovers she's pregnant, and chooses not to tell anyone. Annika somehow finds out when she sees Gauri's report and asks her about the same. Gauri lies about being pregnant with Om's child and says she visited the sperm bank to get an artificial Insemination done. Omkara, who learns this from AnniVya's hushed conversation at the Oberoi Mansion, and confronts Gauri about the same. Gauri confirms that she is indeed pregnant, and wants nothing to do with him hereafter. Omkara, now hurt and heart-broken, breaks up with Gauri and says he's marrying Ishana. Gauri wishes him good luck, but breaks down into tears once he leaves her apartment.
A month passes by. Gauri tries to move on with her life, but she cannot. She's fallen head-over-heels in love with Omkara. She realises her mistake of not letting him know what she feels for him, but is hesitant to contact and confess her feelings to Omkara, whose wedding preparations have already begun. Gauri gives up after desperately consoling herself that she will let go of him so he can be happy with Ishana, knowing that she can never keep him happy in the long run.
Omkara is mad and angry at her silence. He comes over to Gauri's apartment to invite her and gives his wedding card. Looking at the wedding card, Gauri is shocked at the realization which finally dawns on her: that she can never let go of Omkara. As she sees him walk out of the apartment, she realises how she cannot deprive Omkara of knowing that she is pregnant with his baby. Soon after he leaves from her place, Gauri gets a panic attack. She calls up AnniVya's phones, but they are unable to attend the call due to some pooja at the Oberoi Mansion. Gauri calls up Omkara and he cuts call in anger, not wanting her to play with his emotions anymore.
Gauri develops a sharp pain in her lower abdomen and rushes to the hospital, all the while trying to contact Omkara, who eventually switches off the phone in rage. At the hospital, Gauri loses consciousness and when she regains it, she learns that she has had a miscarriage and has lost her baby. The shocking news numbs her for a few seconds and she then begins laughs hysterically and manically, yelling out loud about how just like her Mother, even her own baby din't want her. The doctors try sedating her and Gauri collapses to the floor.
Omkara learns that Gauri has gone missing and her whereabouts are not known to anyone. Omkara is scared and worried for her because he doesn't know where she is. But anyway, he goes on to complete all ceremonies with Ishana, on his family's insistence, until the wedding day when he gets a call from the police saying they've finally traced Gauri. Omkara leaves the wedding mandap in search of Gauri, only to recieve another shock.
The police trace her at the psychiatric asylum, where she's found to be numb and blank; non-reactive to anything and anyone. Omkara is shocked listening to her case history from the Doctors.He learns that she never went to the sperm bank, eventually realising that the baby that was lost WAS HIS. He shatters knowing that he COULD have saved the baby if not for his ego. His baby would still be alive; Gauri would still be her older self; they could still be together if he hadn't ignored her calls. He repents for his faults, and takes Gauri back to the Oberoi Mansion where her treatment begins.
After months and months of medication and therapy, Gauri is able to come out of depression, but the older chirpy Gauri Sharma seems to be lost forever. Omkara pleads her to marry him, and this time, she says yes, only because she doesn't want to repeat her mother's story by marrying someone else inspite of loving somebody else. Although Omkara is unhappy with her reason of marrying him, he is just content that she is taking baby steps towards a happy life. He promises to her and to himself to shield her from all sorrows, and give her every happiness possible.
Years later, they have a 2 year old baby, and Gauri is shown to slowly return to her older self. Omkara and Ishana are still friends, and Rikara, along with the Baby are shown to attend Ishana and Vikram's wedding, where Gauri whispers in Om's ears that she's pregnant, again. Omkara is ecstatic, and hugs Gauri, thanking the heavens for bringing Gauri and their babies into his life.
