Why is SRK's character in Baazigaar called an anti hero but a villain in Darr? I don't remeber him killing any person in Darr. In Baazigar he killed three innocent human beings in cold blood.

In Ramayana, Indrajeet was somehow close to an anti-hero, on the other hand Ravana was the villain. Hope you got my point.

PS - BTW, I just love anti-heroes. 😉

Anti heroes have a gray persona and not bad per se.
In darr he did not kill but he did abet a suicide.

Anti heroes are grey characters. They have a few redeeming qualities. Villains are supposed to be hated outright with no redeeming qualities.

If the girl falls for the guy, or atleast the audience wants the girl to fall for the guy, he is anti-hero, no matter how much despicable, cruel acts he commits...

Otherwise he's an out and out villain, even if he has redeeming qualities 😛

RanVeer is playimg Khilji which according to history is one of the cruelest person to walk on the face of earth. So, i guess he is playing a out an out villain.

The best example that I can think of for anti-hero would be scarlet from gone with the wind. She did a lot of bad things but they were justified to her mind and she had many redeeming qualities. I guess all of us are anti heroes that's why we relate to them the most. Villains are outright bad - you know Shakti Kapoor types 😉

😆 Good question, for me it's like Pota-y-to and Pota-a-to.

I guess when a character is wronged first and therefore all his misdeeds are repercussions of that, someone who is good to everyone but to the one who he wants to avenge, is called as anti-hero. Villains are just outright negative, like Mr. Mogambo ⭐️

Anyways, I dont think people like Khilji can be called anti-hero from any angle. Villain is a villain. 😆
