Hello guys...I'm sorry I became a bit less active these days...making up for my absence with this one shot...not so random may be...tried writing a bit different from my usual pattern..hope u guys will like it...and if u like it..please leave a comment and tell me how it is..and ignore typos..not proof read.will come back and reply to all your comments in all random shots..😳

Do I ?

"So what do u like about neil?" Neela asked avni after listening to another 'ma...pata hai neil na' conversation. It's been 2months roughly, and everytime avni came to meet neela she had 100's of ' ma...pata hai neil ' talks to do. But avni had no answer for this question of neela, at the moment .and before avni could think a bit more neela shot her other question 'what do u love about him?' And another 'you love him!' The third one was more sort of a statement than a question. Avni looked back at her in confusion "Do I ma?" But within few seconds she says"no ,it's just that we bond really well now as we are staying together,so I came to know a lot of things about him ...but we don't love each other". Neela rolled her eyes 'when will this girl understand?'she thought.

But this conversation did it's work .It put her to thoughts and she started thinking about it. The first question is reasonable right? She thought. Neil walked into the room to find avni sitting cross-legged over the bed and hugging a pillow and lost in thoughts. "What are u thinking madam?"he snapped at her. Getting no response from her he moved towards his side of the bed. Oh by the way now they are sharing the bed . This started when neil wokeup with pain in his entire back one day and every one especially the khannas thought it's due to something else . to save themselves for further such situations avni said him that she is okay with sharing the bed . And when his eyes widened listening to the same she replied 'we can make a pillow wall' .

So back to avni who is still lost in thoughts . she felt a tug on her hair and looked towards her right to find neil's hand on her hand and him trying to fight that sleep which is not listening to him may be and so he is slowly closing his eyes. Soon she heard soft snores .and she definitely liked this thing about him . The way he sleeps like a baby. The way he turns back and lies flat on his tummy? She mentally noted it as number1. She wokeup to see him sleep with his mouth slightly open . she herself was lying flat on her tummy. She dragged herself to him and pushed his chin up to close his mouth . Add it to the list she thought before walking away to the washroom.

She likes the way he talks to bebe .

He dances with bebe ,cracking some really lame jokes . He makes bebe smile when she is mad at him. He scolds her with love when she skipped her medicines. He makes her promise that she'll stop keeping those ...silly fasts? He flirts with her saying those mushy lines, singing old songs.

She likes the way he cares about his mom.

The way he asks her to relax when she starts reasoning her assumptions. The way he convinces her to 'let it go ' with his eyes and peculiar head movement of only he and aunty knows the meaning. May be it means ..no...not going to guess it .she thinks..

She likes the way he becomes a kid at times.

He came back from work and started behaving like a kid who wants to sue the school because of the homework his math teacher gave!...right ...exactly like that. He rang up Ali to meet him at house ,played cricket for 3 hours after which he asked bebe to give him a good head massage. He asked Papa to ignore his work,come to Hall and chat with them . yes he did that. He dragged Papa to the living area in the middle of a video conference . He asked shweta to feed him rajma chawal when he's busy seeing the match. He forced avni to sing him Lori after which he happily fell asleep in her lap .

She likes the way he smartly handles the matter.

Just another day with usual shweta aunty and bebe's fights. But it was slightly different today. Shweta aunty seemed super angry. She asked her tillu to choose between bebe and her. But super cop tillu managed the situation cooly with his usual smartness . By the way ..he was sarcastic today ,the sarcasm which only Papa and me understood while both the ladies were busy thinking that tillu was supporting them...I mean individually.

She likes the way he braided her hair today

She burnt her right palm in the kitchen yesterday .Since its summer ...she wanted to tie her hair up in a bun because it was sticking to her back. She tried to do it but couldn't .He offered to help out was unable to twist it to bun...so he decided to braid it. It obviously was accidental. But he still kept scolding her for her carelessness while braiding her hair in, God knows what pattern...when others saw her hair like that they laughed . Neil covered up saying itni buri bhi nahi hai...shweta genuinely felt bad for the girl..'should I do your hair again?' She asked . but avni declined politely as she was happy with the messy braid he made.

She loved it when he says 'that's like my girl'

Thanks to Dayawanti ...she shed more tears this day...and as ever neil's here with his magic. 'Maine kya kaha avni? Remember? BREATH IN ...BREATH OUT...' And she did as he said. 'Better?'he asked. She nodded yes. 'That's like my girl' he said again engulfing her in a warm hug.

She loves the way he smirks

Another braiding hair session with him, when his knuckles touched her back giving her that tingling sensation as her cheeks warmed up a bit .When he couldn't reach the very end of the hair standing there ..he bent down a bit and continued doing his job. Avni stiffening her back was all he could notice. 'what happened' he asked looking at her through the mirror. He noticed the little blush on her face ..this she noticed. 'He notices everything... Couldn't he notice his breath hitting her back the each time he exhaled ..'she thought ...nodding a 'no' at him...through the mirror. As if he could read her mind he smirked. She tried to capture that smirk in her mind through her eyes..

She loved the way he can change his moods quickly

He started cracking jokes and laughing with bebe . He got a call and suddenly got into his cop mode answering DD's questions. She couldn't help but admire that look on his face. The way his shoulder stiffened...his brows came closer...and his eyes. He cut the call and closed his eyes for a moment as if he was trying to absorb the entire thing ..then again within a moment he pulled avni closer and took her to bebe talking something...

She didn't know how to say her mind to note this...she couldn't frame a single sentence this time...

She sometimes keeps staring at him when he is working out. She admired his lean yet fit built. She actually wanted to touch his biceps. When he comes back from the gym room she always ends up staring at him, actually checking him out, his hair wet and sticky ...a different glow on his face ...though his skin always glows...its different to see it with a bit of sweat...the cloth on his body wet due to sweat ..sticking to his skin near the neck and chest region...tracing the few abs above and leaving rest to imagination ...she did want to feel those abs...she can't say more about it...

She likes the fact about him that he is strong.

Though he seems lean..he is super strong...he could lift her up easily.

Just other day when they had a little argument regarding Daya.. Avni was in no mood to have dinner...he requested her to come down but she didn't . He warned her that he'll take her downstairs in his arms if she doesn't come on her own...avni didn't feel that he is serious untill he actually did that. She put her entire weight on him plus that extra pressure so that it'll be difficult for him. He smirked at her and moved downstairs with the same ease..

She loves the way he smiles..

you know his smile varies everytime with situation...by this she means ...it's difficult to understand without the situation... She can explain... When she cried..reminiscing her ayesha ma...he was there saying her not to cry..assuring her that he will be with her no matter what...she'll never forget that assuring smile . The other day he added too many chillies in poha she made and everyone started doing their 'uuuhhs and ahhs' . shweta asked ,'itna mirch kyu dala ananya?'. And he started laughed .needless to say anything everyone understood the situation..and he gave a teasing smile... That smile he gave when I asked him 'tumhe kaise pata chala ki mai hu.. Koi aur bhi toh hosakta hai na?'...that knowing smile every time he caught me checking him out near the gym room...that soothing smile which I crave for now a days every night before I go to sleep...that amused smile when he sees me talking to myself and calls me 'Ajooba'...

She likes the way he gets jealous of Ali

When they were at neela ma's house ...Ali came and sat beside avni showing her some comics ..neil within few mins came there and actually tried to adjust himself in the small space between them saying he loves this comic...and avni actually couldn't feel this until Ali told that this boy is actually J

She likes the way he holds her close to him when he senses any danger

They were at a business party hosted by Papa. Someone at the party stared following her closely. Neil popped out of no where shielding her from all those dirty gazes. He held her by her waist and took her away from that corner...and didn't leave her alone for a second till the end of the party.

She loved the way he stands by her ...every time.

In this revenge Against Dayawanti or any insults . for on those initial days when shweta was mad at her. Or those moments when Bebe didn't want to talk to her for a misunderstanding. He was there. Supporting her in every step.

She loved the way he hugged her. Everytime he hugged her she felt safe. She knew he was there for her and that isn't alone.

She loves the way he caresses her hair at nights when she wakes up with bad dreams , says soothing word to her and puts her to sleep . Yes he did stay up in few of the most uncomfortable position.. May be with half leg dangling out of the bed or head improperly placed over the headboard...the whole night..

What's the number now?

Forget the number...whose going to ask for it? She thought waiting for him even after he messaged her that he's going to be late tonight. Everyone retired back to their rooms and avni was sitting on the dining table cutting fruits .

She heard his car sound and went towards the door. He was surprised to see her up till this late. 'Maine bola na ..late hojayega..wait kyu kar rahi ho?' ,he asked.'Mai tumhare liye nahi wait kar rahi thi..bas neend nahi aaraha that so..I'm here' ,she said smiling at him and continued 'dinner?' He smiled back...'fresh Hoke aata hu'

She mixed those fruits into the custard...'avni..pool ke pass baitke khate hai na?' He asked smiling at her..

The tired smile she thought adding it to the list..

'You love him" she remembers neela's words ..

'Do I ma?' She whispers slowly...looking at his sleeping form. She moves a bit closer to him and runs her finger through his hair. He smiles slightly in sleep. 'I do',she said looking at him.
