So, we thought without mentioning the bravery of those women, India's freedom struggle would be incomplete. Pooja Sharma as Queen Durgavati
Durgavati Marvi was a marvel of Rajputi Gonda clan. Apart from being a valiant ruler she was also a patron of art. Durgavati's first battle was against Bajbahadur, in which she faught valiantly repulsing Bahbahadur causing huge casualties in his army, this was the first feather in her throne. The most important battle of the queen was against Mughal Emperor Akbar's army, when his Mughal Subedar Abdul Majid Khan tried to grab the queen's territories. But she confronted and defeated the strong Mughal army thrice. After the third struggle against the Mughal army, the queen got badly injured. Akbar's army tried to take advantage of her injuries and attack her again, but despite fleeing away to save her life, the queen stabbed herself and died free.
To portray this fearless and daring queen, Pooja Sharma would be a befitting choice. Pooja, who is winning accolades with her presentation and performing difficult stunts as Goddess Kaali in Color's much awaited mythological show Mahaakali-Ant Hi Aarambh hai' is perfect to pull of such fearless roles, her bold and strong looks goes quite well with the Queen of Gonda.
