Her Last Hope!

**Deep Sigh** What a riveting episode! Yes, the cat and mouse game followed the usual trajectory but what made the difference was the handling & the top notch acting by all the participants.

Outwitted! Outfoxed! Out Maneuvered!

I remember in one of early episodes Advay had said, Indrani refuses to accept defeat even after losing! We got to see that femme fatale today. Advay is suspicious VERRRY suspicious as he ought to be when he is living in a nest of vipers. He has sensed that something is afoot, his antennae are practically vibrating off its rockers. Advay sends his trusted emissaries to tackle the formidable adversaries. He commits a simple rookie mistake, he spreads his resources thin and Indrani capitalizes on it.

Indrani who has observed Shilpa eavesdropping on her conversation with her sister decides to remove the pawn from the field. Next is the turn of Murli who is led on a wild goose chase only to land in the net himself.

Advay is drugged & brought to his knees while the wily vixen begins to implement her plan. Chandni who has arrived on the scene just when Advay is beginning to feel the effect of the drug, who saw him teeter and fall down is shocked.

** For us viewer's who had become inured to Indrani's scheming, this latest display of her moves was a revelation. Her unflappability, ability to think on her feet and to organize and employ such a vast force is no mean feat. Advay who knew the capability paid the price for letting down his guard.**

Stumped! Stunned But Still a Survivor!

Chandni enters the arena, subdued, passive and uncomprehending. Indrani looking smug and confident tells Chandni to get ready for the wedding with PP. Indrani allays Chandni's fears, assuring that Advay will not hinder her when to her disbelief she watches Advay tottering, unsteady on his feet. To her utter shock, Advay keels over unconscious. Chandni instinctively rushes to help Advay but is stopped by Indrani's pet PP.

** Why did Chandni feel abandoned when Advay fell? Yes, She did feel abandoned. Here was her enemy, the man who taunted her, who humiliated her, who has expressly told her that he is going to destroy her family, her relationship and herself. So, why did she feel bereft when her tormentor fell down like a downed warrior?

Honesty!! In all her years of growing up, in all her years of yearning for approval, for affection, she was met with charade,a facade of love, convenient affection that arose when she was needed only to dry up as soon as her use was fulfilled. Chandni had filaments of interconnecting network that one would call FAMILY!! But that family had no HONESTY! Their intention's weren't honest, their emotion's weren't honest, their honeyed words weren't honestly meant. The sensitive girl sensed the duplicity yet strove to win them over with her unconditional, selfless love when into her gilded prison came a traveler who made no effort to his his heart nor his intentions.

After years of longing, Chandni met a person who was honest in his dealings . His honesty laid the foundations for trust. His emotions be it anger, contempt, affection, care or even taunt connected her to him because they were the truth without an ounce of falsehood involved. So when Advay Singh Raizada swore that only HE will be marrying HER! Chandni BELIEVED! When he thwarted all her attempts to null his manevours, She BELIEVED! When he rescued her from a distressing attack, She BELIEVED!

Imagine her shock, her disbelief when the man she trusted implicitly was brought down by a cheap trick. The prison gates were closing down on her, her Knight was laid low even before the fight could begin.. Her last hope crumbling and being laid to rest with the fallen hero. Chandni eyes glued to Advay, all the while when she was dragged away from him - Was she willing him to rise, to claim her as he had promised? Did she realize at that moment, how much she was relying on Advay?

The feeble hope stirs, fuzzy brain and blurry eyes not withstanding, Advay has enough sense to realize that the hall is empty and the dramatis personae have upped and left. Advay hurries to Mandir, to be met by deserted courtyard looking as forlorn as Advay himself. He hoarsely calls out for Chandni. He is met by silence until a voice breaks the creeping webs of helplessness.

Yash has arrived! Success deigns to combine forces with Advay - When success aligns itself with Advay, how can he be defeated?

Advay rushes towards the mandir. Chandni, conflicted, grieving leaves to sit by the man whom she detests. She had not reckoned on that tiny ray of last hope, tugging at her, holding her back. The bond that was forged in honesty and truth tugs at her, nevertheless, Chandni steps forward, to get eclipsed to darkness... When,,

Her last hope arrives, bringing colors in his wake.

Personal Musings: A full on paisa vasool episode with fast paced action. Though I cannot see how Mika helped in moving the plot forward. While the episode may give off Bollywood Masala movie flavor - to me the episode had certain segments pregnant with meaning.

One, was the moment when Chandni dutifully obey her mother even though all the cells in her body is screaming to help Advay. When it comes to matter of right and Mom, Mom wins hands down.

Two, Though both leave no stone unturned to hurt each other. Somewhere through their journey of hatred, Advay and Chandni have come to depend on each other, trust the other (to do one's worst) yet are possessive enough to consider the other as their own.

Three, Although Yash Narayan pops up like Jack in the box in the middle of a scene, today he opened the door to the past by uttering "Purani Haveli" - Why did Advay's face tighten in anger on hearing about Purani Haveli? What mystery lies there?

Pratham has come, where is Shikha? I don't see her.Miku who was the guest of V people has disappeared and none seem concerned.

When you shatter a bottle on the head, should not the floor be littered with glass shards?

This This is precisely what I feel with Chandni. Chandni even though fights with Advay, even though Advay humiliates Chandni and taunts her - She still believes him and trusts him. Their connection is something deep. Advay never told her any falsehoods. He always said what he meant. And yes he declared that he is hers and so is she. Chandni believed that and after marriage she is going to understand this throughly. That "Tum daava ho ya Dua/Main Dard hun ya Humdard" he is hers and she is his. I just can't wait for these two to understand each other.

Indrani - what a wicked wicked woman. She can do anything to get these 2 separated. Their love story is going to be put to many hurdles and both advay and chandni need to fight it out. Sigh - Iss pyar ko sach main kya naam doon.
