Dev: Episode 6 (Review)

This has to be my favourite episode until now! Because this episode answered so many of my questions, making me feel lighter.
Ashish's acting throughout the series has been phenomenal. And today, he totally nailed it. Those screams and those tears made me feel his emotions as my own.
Totally loved how Dev's past was connected with another case so that the essence of a detective show is not lost.
The past story was really intriguing and I absolutely loved it.
Mehak seems to have been taking medicines for something, I am so curious to know why.
After seeing today's episode, I have now developed a full theory of why Dev would have killed Mehak. Let's see if it comes out true.
Was really disappointed to see Meera get manipulated by Amod's story but after all she's a single mother & she was bound to develop apprehensions about Dev.
The only thing different in today's case was we knew who the criminal was from the starting, we just didn't knew how to prove him one. Not to worry, Dev was there after all.
It was so good to finally see Dev & Narvekar talk decently to each other.
The only thing which confused me- Zohra Appa lives on the ground floor of the house and they share a common living area. Then how come there's so much difference between the living rooms of the past and present? Doesn't make sense. Moreover, there's no trace of Zohra Appa in the past.
And finally, we had the show starting exactly at 10pm. Was so glad to see it start at its prescribed time.
The new opening montage of the show looks wonderful!

Episode was too good.I am eagerly waiting for mahek's truth.Don't know that when will it come out.

But I believe that it was Mehak's hand in swami's murder.But I could also be wrong

Hi Frnd, Nice analysis and descriptions .I also think that may be mehek was suffering from mental trauma of het past or personality disorder. But waiting for the best from cvs.

Nail biting episode..I couldn't wait to noe the reason but they didn't reveal it :(
IMO, 2 theories are possible I.e Mehek being assassin OR having anxiety disorder. Seems like even Amod is clueless, so who interrogated Dev? 😕
Meera' decision was right as a Mother. Infact her staying in tht house in the first place is far etched and too convinient for the storyline..she shud hav been a neighbour instead.

Your analyses are very well written. Undoubtedly one of my favorite episode too.finally we get to know the connection between dev and narvekar.mahek is a mysterious character .either she was suffering from some kind of mental disorder so dev shooting her was just an accident or she was a negative character.The scene where robin was talking to the pandit reminds me of my favorite movie drishyam ;p.

I'm also fascinated by Mehak's death. It was well depicted and leaves a lot of questions open to maintain the interest although honestly Narvekar is shown as a bit slow, shallow & quick to judge:
- Dev holding the gun and in a state of shock
- The convenient phone call- that was definitely a deliberate ploy

The clever people on IF have noted a link between Mehak & The Swami's murder.

ps: Honestly Narvekar is such a man! He sees a beautiful woman and automatically judges her to be good. How much did he really see of her - in the sense of a real interaction beyond admiring her back in that v skimpy blouse!
