This was by far the best episode yet. Yet this one episode glimpse into Dev's past is not enough! We need more!
What I liked (like you mentioned) was how the past was also connected by a case. And I was surprised to see that Mahek has some type of a mental disorder. But I loved how Dev handled it so smoothly. That's husband goals.
I have a feeling that Mahek being involved in Swami's murder is all a sham. It's just too convenient. Given that she and Dev met at an event of Swami's and that she conveniently called Narvekar before dying, it just seems to convenient. I feel like there may be something deeper to all this. Maybe I'm reading too much into the character or the scenes, but I have a feeling even her mental disorder bit is fake. She may be a hitman or a terrorist. And somehow Dev found out and that's what led him to kill her. Or maybe she pulled the trigger while they were fighting so that it would look like he killed her.
At first I felt Meera made a hasty decision and she should have demanded answers from Dev, but then I realized that would be out of character for her. She's an impulsive person and does what she feels is right. And for her leaving the house felt right and so she did it without thinking about the actual repercussions of that. I like that Zohra Appa put some sense into her here.
I can't wait to see how this plays out in the future and what the full past of Dev really is. I'm also curious to know more about Meera and whether she can actually hear aatmas or is this a mental disorder of hers.
