EVAB - 14th - 18th Aug - WU Summary

Ranveer wakes up to see him having held suman's hand while asleep - he watches her and she wakes up. Ranveer suddenly feels the hangover kick in and feels restlessness - he opens the window and stands by it to get some fresh air. He is about to leave the room when suman begins questioning him about the man who is blackmailing him. He makes an excuse and tries to exit the room only to find it looked by suman. Suman refuses to open the door but ranveer manages to convince her to open it and as soon as she does he pushes her and runs out the room. Suman continues knocking on the door begging ranveer to open it - Albela is walking by and hears the noise - he releases suman from the room and both try to look for ranveer. Manan-Antara join in and Albela returns informing suman that ranveer's car is missing so he may have left.

Suman returns to her room and prays for ranveer's safety. Sindoora calls her and informs her that ranveer has returned to Indore - Suman informs the others and they decide to return home. At home, all are worried as ranveer has not eaten or spoken to anyone since returning the night before. Suman, Sanjana and Antara return and nupur and suhasini inform suman about ranveer's behaviour. Suman goes to their room to find ranveer sat on the floor. She sits beside him and tries to convince him to reveal his problem but ranveer refuses. Ranveer then receives a call and is about to exit the room but suman tells him not to leave and that she will leave - before leaving she puts the recorder on her mobile and hides it under the blanket. Later upon listening to the recording she finds out that ranveer is scheduled to meet a man at 11pm.

At night, ranveer waits for suman to be asleep and then heads out to meet the person - suman is awake and follows him. The man sees suman and informs ranveer about her presence. Suman fails to see the man and ranveer confronts her for spying on him. He then tells her that tomorrow he will provide all the answers to her questions and they leave. Next morning, there is a puja in the house, dadisa asks suman to call ranveer and when she goes to call him, ranveer hands over the divorce papers. Suman is shocked and ranveer is heartbroken.

Ranveer leaves the room without facing suman - he walks away with crying clearly heartbroken at giving suman the divorce papers. Suman breaks down thinking ranveer hates her so much that he wants to end their marriage. She then has FB of ranveer saving her from drowning and from the man in the resort. She assures herself that ranveer is being forced to do this by someone else.

Suman comes to the hall with the papers - ranveer is sat for the puja. Nupur tells suman to sit for the puja and takes the papers from her. She puts them on the table and sindoora, chaman and veer have hit and miss incidents with the papers - neither of them fail to read the content of the papers much to suman's relief. The pandit struggles to light the agni so requests some paper, suman brings the divorce papers and the pandit lights the fire - ranveer realises they are divorce papers and looks at suman who confirms that this is her answer. Ranveer says he can bring another copy of the papers and she'll have to sign it then. Suman vows she will only sign when he gives the true reason behind the divorce.

Ranveer informs someone on the phone that suman burnt the divorce papers he gave her but he'll give another copy. Veer comes asking for ranveer's photo to add to his family tree, ranveer is touched but then says ravi's photo should be there. Suman comes and upon seeing her ranveer changes his tune and speaks harshly with veer. Veer is about to leave but suman stops him and gives ranveer's photo to him to add to the family tree. Ranveer questions suman about this gesture and she reminds him that he had given veer a ring on their engagement and he was part of their 7 pheras making veer ranveer's son.

Veer brings the family tree portrait to kalawati who tells him off for putting ranveer's photo in ravi's place. Veer reveals suman gave the photo and kalawati angrily comes to the kitchen and tells suman off warning her that if she tries to take away ravi's right as veer's father then she'll take away her right as veer's mother. Suman wonders how to tell kalawati that ravi will always have the first and foremost right of being veer's dad but she had to do this to remind ranveer of his duties and responsibilities. Sindoora overhears this conversation and questions why kalawati is angry - kalawati changes the subject and taunts sindoora who vows to remove kalawati from mittal sadan and send her back to parmar house. Suman is touched when antara and kalawati stand up for her and prays that she continues to have their support.

Suman checks ranveer's phone and as she is about to save the man's number, ranveer catches her and tells her off. Suman explains that she only did this to find out the truth and requests him to tell her the truth but ranveer is adamant that he is divorcing her as that is what he wants. Veer overhears this and questions the meaning behind divorce but sumveer brush it off so he questions kalawati who is stunned to hear that sumveer are thinking about a divorce. Kalawati questions them but they manage to cover up the truth.

Ranveer warns the man not to blackmail him and breaks down as he is struggling to show hate towards suman. He cries saying that tomorrow suman will find out the truth and leave him forever. He promises to love her till the day he dies. Meanwhile, dadisa informs the women of the teej festival and kalawati and antara discuss how sindoora may try to sabotage suman's vrat but they have to ensure her plan fails.

Suman is feeling a little unwell and ranveer tells her not to fast for him, but suman refuses saying she is his wife and will keep the fast. Ranveer taunts her that if a fast would increase the man's life, no husband would die in this world. Suman again asks him the reason behind his behaviour but ranveer remains quiet. Suman sadly tells him she was happy in her life and had no wishes or dreams but ranveer came and changed it all, he made her realise that she could live again and that there is a beautiful world awaiting for her but now he is taking it all away. Ranveer turns away wiping away his tears and sadly thinks to himself that tomorrow is the last day suman will be with him as his wife.

The men cook food for their wives and feed them too. Everyone is touched to hear that manan is also keeping a fast for antara. Suman serves everyone food and sindoora sends her to get her some medication and thinks to make suman suffer from hunger.

As suman sits down to eat, sindoora knocks the jug of water into suman's food. Everyone is worried how suman will keep the fast as chaman informs them there is no food left for suman; but suman assures them that she isn't hungry and will keep the fast on an empty stomach. In the kitchen, Ranveer asks chaman to tell him how to make kheer and prepares it for suman. She is touched by the gesture but fails to eat it as sunrise kicks in. Suman questions his concern for her but he tells her firmly that he is only doing this for his family members and not her. Nupur overhears this conversation and is disturbed to see the tension between sumveer.

Kalawati warns sindoora not to ruin suman's fast, but sindoora takes a plate of food to suman's room while she is a sleep and tries to force feed her only to be stopped by antara and kalawati. Sindoora pretends to be concerned about suman fasting on an empty stomach but neither suman, nor antara nor kalawati buy her act.

Ranveer is by the pool side and clearly distressed by all that is happening, he recalls suman's words and jumps into the pool and lets out his frustration. Suman watches him from their room window and prays that the truth comes before her so she can bring her ranveer out of this mess.

Sahil orders various delicious food dishes to his room and makes sanjana jealous and hungry for the food. Sahil then blackmails her into eating a samosa and takes a selfie, though sanjana does not eat it, sahil threatens to show the picture to everyone and decides to use it to blackmail sanjana from now on.

At night, all the bahu's are dressed up ready to open the teej fast but ranveer is missing, suhasini ask manan to call and find out where ranveer is. Suman is touched to learn ranveer kept a fast for her too. Nupur asks suman to do the ritual first and sanjana is irked to see the attention that suman gets.

Suman performs the ritual while sahil-manan attempt to get hold of ranveer. Suman sees ranveer's reflection while doing the ritual and is sad to see it was merely her imagination. The women begin the ritual of opening their teej fast and suman again imagines ranveer being there and opening her fast. She is bought out of her thoughts as her phone starts ringing - its ranveer who calls her to the dusshera ground. Suman informs suhasini and everyone blesses her while she leaves.

Suman arrives and happily greets ranveer. She notices his teary eyes and questions why he looks upset, he remains quiet and suman assures him that everything will be ok and asks him to complete the rasam as she is very hungry. Ranveer holds the thali as she removes the chunari and lights the diya she then takes the thali in her hands and asks him to complete the rasam. Ravi enters and says ranveer can't complete this ritual as its his right only. Suman is shocked to see ravi and faints. Ranveer grabs her and makes her drink water (symbolic as suman's fast is opened by ranveer). Ravi moves ranveer away and holds suman in his arms asking her to wake up. Suman wakes up and is confused, she questions ravi where he was all these years. Ravi says he was living an unknown life, and he was forced to let the world believe that he had drowned but now he can't live without her. Suman looks at ranveer and tries to explain to ravi that she's now married to ranveer but ravi says that her second marriage is false and she is his wife and the mother of his child. He says after pretending his death, he remained close by and saw suman take care of everything that's why he remained quiet but was shocked to see suman allow their son to call someone else dad and accept another man in her life. He questions that she took wedding vows with him to be his wife for 7 births but couldn't remain loyal to him in one birth. He adds he was behind veer's kidnapping on the wedding day hoping to stop the wedding but ranveer saved them and before he could do anything they had married. Both SumVeer are crying throughout ravi's revelations.

precap - ravi says that he loves suman a lot and can't bear to see her get close to another man and reveals that ranveer's changed behaviour is down to him. He says he'll return soon and will take him suman with him.
