The weather changed suddenly, as the clouds opened up and the rain came pouring down. ...

Deep down in her heart, she became scared and anxious...

After a couple of bells Soniya finally picked up her cell

"It's okay sweetie. .I was just joking...Everything alright. ..why are you calling at this time of night"
"Sonu. ..woh"
"Kya hua. ..dar laga raha hai" intervened Soniya
"Buhut. ..buhat zyada. ."
"Waqt badal gaye...par meri Roshni vaise ke vaise...You haven't changed a bit sweetie...since we were children, whenever you used to get scared...you always came running to me...ab batao... what happened"
"I'm scared Sonu..."
"Scared of what sweetie?"
"What if something goes wrong..what if we can't get that pend rive. .what if I loose Sidharth forever..what if.."
"Sweetie. ..Sweetie...calm down. . ..relax...relax...kuch galat nahin hoga.
Yeh faltu ke khayal mat lao apne dil mein...everything will work out...trust me..."
Roshni sighed "I wish I had your confidence Sonu"
"You dont need my confidence Roshni ...You have Sidharth...He is your strengh...your saviour.

"I know Sonu. ..but kya karu. .dar phir bhi lag raha hai. I'm still worried...and I can't help it."

Roshni put down the phone, and walked over to the mirror. ..looking at herself.. ..and pondered over Sonu words.
A LITTLE WHILE LATER
Roshni was lost in her own thoughts and didn't notice Sidharth, standing in the balcony. ..
He watched her for almost ten minutes. ..just staring at her...His life ...His soul...His reason for living.
"Roshni Baby. ..kahan kho gayi ho" asked Sidharth as he took steps towards her..
"Sidharth" she whispered as she turned around, only to see the most beautiful smile. .that was present on the most beautiful person. ..her Sidharth.
Roshni ran into Sidharth arms and took him into an embrace...That was her most favourite place. Sidharth arms.
"Sidharth tum yahan is waqt" she asked, even though she was very happy to see him..
"Why...I don't need a reason to see you Baby" whispered Sidharth.
"Aur waise bhi. .tumhari yaad a a rahi thi. .toh mein chala ayaa. .." he sighed
"Actually I don't think there is a time when I don't think of you Baby"
"I'm so glad you came" her words made Sidharth grin grow wider.
"Oye... hoye...hoye..hoye ..kya iraada hai meri jaan" he teased..as he held her tighter
"I was scared Sidharth. Mujhe dar lag raha hai" Roshni whispered as she snuggled into him a little more.
"Why Baby. ."
"Bas yuhi..."
"Yuhi kya Baby" he asked stroking her back gently
"Sidharth. ..What if we never find that pend rive. ..then we'll never be together. .."
"Ssh Baby. ..Sssh. why are you thinking like this..kya tumhe mujpe barosa nahin hai. Don't you trust me my love" Sidharth asked as he came out of the hug, and cupped her face. .With his palms
"Of course I do...but I don't trust my fate...fate has been so mean to me... almost all my life"
"But it was fate that bought us together...remember. Made us fall deeply in love with each other...It was fate that you became my wife...my life.."
Roshni stared into his eyes...listening to each and every word
"Roshni mujh pe Bharosa ruko. ..sab teek hoga. .I'll make sure of it"
"I know I'm being silly...And I know I'm panicking for no reason...but I can't help it Sidharth...no matter how hard I try..Dev scares me...He really scares me. You have no idea Jaan...how horrible those three months were without you.
How I managed to stay alive when you weren't there...I don't think I'll survive if Dev wins"
"I won't let him win. When it comes to you Baby, I am the most selfish person in the world. .I'm selfish. Very selfish. I want you all to myself...and I will never ever let anyone take you away from me..NEVER!"
Roshni looked into his eyes...and smiled slightly
"Pakka everything will work out . .and we will be together again soon..."
"Honestly speaking Baby. ..mujhe bhi nahin pata. ..how long it will take for things to work out...but that isn't your concern" Sidharth said looking into her eyes
"Toh phir. ..kya hai mera concern"
"Your concern is to keep loving me the way you do, and keep smiling...tension lena mera department hai...not yours. ..
Don't forget Baby Tum sirf meri ho. ...sirf meri hamasha" saying this he planted a kiss on her forehead...making her smile
"Mein sirf tumhari hoon Jaan. Sirf tumhari...hamesha and forever" she said as she hugged him again, closing her eyes tight..
"Just a matter of a few more days...but I don't know how these days will pass my love. ...I can't afford to be away from you anymore" sighed Sidharth
His words gave her some assurance, that she was craving for...She couldn't stop smiling
"I love you Sidharth. .I love you so so much."
"And I love you Roshni. You are my world..your are my universe...you are everything to me...bas please don't ever leave me again. ..I'm not as strong as you think Roshni...because if I ever lost you I won't survive either. ..ek pal mein Mar jaon ga"
"Sidharth" she whispered as she covered his lips with her hand
"Don't ever say that again..Sidharth.." she scolded. .
Sidharth gave her a smile. ...holding her hand
"Woh Dev chaiye kuch bhi karle. ..I won't let him suceed"
"Chaalo until we deal with Dev...let's just enjoy this chori chupe meetings" giggled Roshni. ..still holding onto him
"Waise I agree...meeting like this chori chupe is fun...but I want you present in front of my eyes 24/7...365 days of the year that's it..." he sighed

"Where have you been...you disappeared after lunch...aur ab nazer aye ho"
"I had something really important to deal with...isliye"

Sidharth held her tighter
"There's nothing...and I mean nothing more important than you Baby. ..let's just say whatever I'm doing I'm doing it for you my love...For the family and for us.."

Roshni just smiled and hugged him back...
Both stayed in each others arm for a while. ..happy to be together...
"Aaj meri junglee billi is being very romantic" he teased
"Why do you keep calling me junglee billi" she sulked as she let go of Sidharth "Jao I don't want to talk to you" she said as she turned her face away
"Arre sorry Baby. ..I was just kidding. ."
"Don't ever call me that again..." she warned pointing a finger at him
"Okay meri maa, nahin bulaunga. ..ab khush"
Roshni thought for a moment. ..
"Hmm good...warna. .."
"Warna what Baby he asked holding her waist again
His question left Roshni dumbfounded. ..she had no answer
"Ab kuch bologi bhi. ..chup kyon ho gai. ..varna what" he asked again raising hia eyebrow
"When I think of something I'll let you know" she replied cutely..
Sidharth grinned at her cuteness and mouthed a kiss at her...making Roshni blush
"Haaye. ..meri lal tomatur. .kya baat hai. ...itni sharam. ...from a hawaii kiss. ." he teased her
Roshni made a cute pout and then there was a sudden sound of thunder... startling Roshni, and within minutes she hugged Sidharth tightly, pinning him to the wall.
She hugged him with such force...as Sidharth hands went up in the air...before they came back and held her..
Her grip became tighter...With every pass get second as the thunder got louder
Sidharth heart beat accelerated..His mind went numb...she felt so good...her body against his.
Sidharth pulled her more into him...
There was another blast of thunder, and she hid her face in his neck...holding on as tight as she could
Sidharth didn't want this moment to end
She was his peace...she was his life.
Sidharth kept his grip on her waist tight..closing his eyes...as he inhaled her sweet scent
Slowly Roshni let go...but Sidharth kept his grip on her waist...and looked at her...His breathing hitched
His face was covered with some strands of her hair...Roshni tried to remove them...but Sidharth held her hand, whilst his other hand kept a tight grip on her waist...refusing to let go.
Their faces were just inches apart. .Both staring into each other es eyes
Just then there was another roar of thunder, Roshni scrunched her eyes in fear, and the small distance that was there between them only seconds ago, was covered again by Roshni as she hugged him again. ..pinning him tight against the wall again
Sidharth couldn't help but smile, as he looked upto the heavens and winked "Thank you God..Thank you.." he winked
Sidharth lightly caressed her back...trying to calm her
"It's just thunder my Love. .." he said as he continued to hug her tight
"Mujhe thunder se dar lagta hai" she whispered...her voice a little shaky
"Awww. ..but my Junglee Billi is brave nah" he teased hee again, trying to avert her attention away from the thunder
Roshni broke the hug and glared at him
"Phir junglee billi bhola"
"Awww" Sidharth laughed...which annoyed her even further
But before Sidharth could say anything ...another sound of thunder and she was back in his arms
"It's okay Baby I got you. .Your always safe with me"
Both stayed in each others arms for untold minutes. before Roshni backed away again
"You must think I'm stupid being scared of thunder..hai nah Sidharth"
Sidharth shook his head. ..
"Stupid no way..If it wasn't for that thunder. ..you wouldn't have hugged me the way you did" he teased
Roshni looked at him..And a small tear escaped her eyes
"Hey...hey what happened Baby" Sidharth asked as he cupped her face
"Nothing" she replied
"Kuch toh hua hai. ..you can tell me Baby..."
Roshni sighed "I've always been scared of thunder.. ..It frightens me" she said
"It. ..It. ...it reminds me of my papa. .." her voice choked..as more tears began to well up in her eyes
"Papa?? You've never spoken about him before"
"I...I...I..." she wasn't able to get the words to leave her mouth
"Ssh. ...Ssh...its okay Baby, you don't have to tell me if you don't want to" Sidharth replied squeezing her hand tighter. ..Silently waiting for her to say something
"It's not that ...I don't really have much to say" she said finally...wiping away her tears. ..
Roshni closed her eyes "I don't have many memories of him...but one thing I do remember is the day he left me hamesha ke liya.." she weeped
Roshni raised her tear filled eyes...
"I was about five... I still remember ..It was pouring with rain on that day too...and the thunder..It was so loud...It was so loud. ...and .."
She squeaked Sidharth hand tighter..
"He was lying on the bed...He. ...He. ...couldn't breath properly..
He held my hand so tight.. ...and he looked at me. ..With tears in his eyes..He said 'I'll always love you my child" ..and then...then"
"Then Baby.?"
"Then papa hand became loose...and his stare became cold..so cold...and that thunder...that thunder was so loud. ..Everyone in the room started crying. ..Mom, Nani. I was so confused...and that thunder...It was so loud...
That night I lost my papa...that's all I remember. ..that's the only memory I have if him Sidharth. .The only memory. ..
And on that night I lost my mother too...that day something in her changed." She covered her face with the palm of her hands, to hide her vulnerability.
Sidharth clutched her hand and made her look at him, as he wiped away her tears
"Roshni...Roshni. ..I'm so sorry my love...I'm so sorry"
He took her in his arms and held her tight...and then slowly pulling her away...He took her hand and led her to the balcony
"Look at the night sky my love"
Roshni looked up, and the rain had a stopped, and the sky was clear. ..covered with stars
"Suna hai...when someone we love dies...They become stars..and watch over their loved ones from the sky. They bless us, protect us and guide us...even when they're not around. "
Roshni looked at the stars. .trying to find her papa in them...and her eyes fell on the brightest star in the sky..." and smiled
"Whenever you miss him...just look up into the night sky. You'll never feel alone...because his presence is always there...With you"
Sidharth stepped closer...and held her in his arms, as she continued to look up into the sky...
"Thank you Sidharth...Thank you" she whispered
"As long as I'm with you... You never need to be scared of thunder or anything else my love...ever..." he kissed her forehead
"I know Sidharth. ...I know"
Both gazed at the stars together...and Roshni felt at peace...
Time passed...and Roshni began to yawn...
"Sleepy kya. .."
She nodded her head, and picked her up in hie arms and took her to the bed. Gently he lay her down..
He lay down next to her...stroking her hair lovingly
"Sidharth I love you" she said yawning again
He kissed her forehead "I love you too..."
Roshni sleepy eyes looked up at Sidharth as he kissed her forehead
"Sidharth"
"Yes my love"
"Could you read me a bed time story...I remember vaguely Papa used to read me stories before I went to bed. .Aaj bohut yaad aa rahi hai papa ki"
"Bed time story and me" he chuckled
Roshni smile disappeared "it's okay. ..you don't have to if you don't want too"
Sidharth tucked away a strand of hair, that was covering her face...and kissed her forehead again
"Baby, story toh kya... I can do anything for you...anything. ...now let me think..."
After a while
"Once upon a time there was a Dashing God looking extremely handsome Prince called Sidharth"
Roshni giggled as she felt her eyelids become heavy
"And there was a okay okay looking Princess called Roshni"
Roshni opened her eyes "Me okay okay looking. And you dashing handsome blah blah blah. ...junglee doggy kahin ka" she teased back as she cuddled into his arms more...resting her head on his chest.
Sidharth continued to tell her the story. ...but it wasn't long before Roshni was fast asleep
"Roshni. ..Roshni. ..." he whispered. ..but she did not answer
Sidharth smiled and pulled the blanket over her...making himself comfortable. ..holding her as he closed his eyes
"Good night beautiful...sweet sweet dreams...love you"
