Munna Micheal And Lipstick Under Burkha Day Five Business

Munna Micheal continues to fall and adds to the huge flop list of the year. The second half of the year has started with the three main releases floping at the box office be it Mom, Jagga Jasoos and now Munna Micheal. All three were of a different genre but the result was the same. The first four day collections of Munna Micheal are as follows

Friday - 6,62,00,000

Saturday - 6,00,00,000 apprx

Sunday - 8,50,00,000 apprx

Monday - 3,00,00,000 apprx

Tuesday - 2,75,00,000 apprx

TOTAL - 26,87,00,000 apprx

Lipstick Under My Burkha is a surprise success and this film may actually emerge a HIT. The first week business is crossing 10 crore nett and its quite likely the film will cross 20 crore nett or even 25 crore nett depending on what happens on day eight. There is competition every week but this film will not be affected by that as its a limited releases and wont find it difficult to hold its screens. The business of Lipstick Under My Burkha is as follows

Friday - 1,10,00,000 apprx

Saturday - 1,95,00,000 apprx

Sunday - 2,25,00,000 apprx

Monday - 1,20,00,000 apprx

Tuesday - 1,25,00,000 apprx

TOTAL - 7,75,00,000 apprx

Tiger should stop doing the same kind of movies again and again..needs to sign with some good director...Sabbir khan is very mediocre director

Lipstick under my burkha is an amazing and deserves every bit of acclodes and success

It's refreshing that movies like Lipstick and Hindi Medium are working at the boxoffice. More movies should follow that model. Focus on the script, work with a tight budget, release it strategically depending on the target audience, and reap the reward.

So good to see a content based film doing well
Munna Micheal did not feel good right from the promos
Lipstcik Under My Burkha deserves a success

So I tried to find out about "Mom ", if it's a flop or not... That was a tough one, no solid info anywhere

"In ten days the film has managed to remain stable at the box office and grossed 43.20 crores (nett 29.81 crores ). Looking at the current scenario, the film should manage to cross the 35 crore mark by the end of its second week at the domestic market."

But couldn't find what it's budget was

Manisha's movie Dear Maya, I am guessing is a very low grosser

Budget:- 40 Crores (Production + Advertising= 32+8)
