Some disclaimers:

1. This is not related to Bollywood. May be I should put it in music section. But I don't know where it exists and I have never participated. So randomly posting it here. Apologies in advance.

2. I know nothing about Islam, I only know Muslims (I am not ashamed of this fact, as I don't expect others to know how Ganesh and Kartik are related).

While browsing for some other song, this song randomly appeared on the suggestion box. By mistake I clicked on it.

Being culturally Hindu and agnostic by faith, I had no interest in the song and I wanted to click back. Before that happened, song started. I just could not help but listening to this kid. Amazing voice and focus on the song. (Not bothered about uninterested crowd around or the petals and notes being showered on him. Just feeling the song). So different from the kids singing in reality shows.

In our language we would say, Saraswati is residing in his voice.

Have you ever come across such videos? (Randomly clicked, but totally enjoyed)? Can you bother to share it?

His voice and the song touched you so much... That's nice

He does have great range and focus as you say... Where is this?

Devotional songs have that power, the other day I was clicking the dial mindlessly as usual, there

was a show called

"Rejoice with Itzhak Perlman and Cantor Yitzchak Meir Helfgot"

on PBS, music was beautiful

On blue. I don't know. May be India or Pakistan. I could not see the above video you posted. But I could see other videos of them in youtube. To me, second half of the song resembled Bengali music.

We hear people saying, music does not have language. We also see, people getting angry at Rehman for singing Tamil songs. 😔

Glad you like it

I found the songs soothing and uplifting at the same time although I didn't understand anything and listening to it for the first time

To me it sounded like a mixture of Arabic and Indian devotional or liturgical music, if that makes sense

(I am not talking about this one song, it was an hr long show and I caught most of it)

Bold - Not really! Are you a fan?

I mostly listen to movie songs and pop hits like any layperson, occasionally some higher level music does catches my ear :-)
