Yeh Kya tha? It's like choosing between Mohammad Rafi and Lata Mangeshkar. Anyways chose sonu only and only because shreya is his junior and always claims that she has learnt a lot from him as a singer

Shreya.

More national awards aside, she sings in languages she does not know and she is spot on in pronunciation. I have seen her sing in three languages Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam where AFAIK she does not know the language, but her pronunciation is spot on. I have not seen even Lataji and Ashaji do this and certainly not Sonu. That makes her a superior singer to me.

Suppose both participate in a reality show. Who would win you think? (No public voting). Lata Mangeshkar and Asha Bonsle are judges.

Sonu. Because Asha and Lata ji are judging!! 😉 😉 and it is a well known fact that they both prefer Sunidhi to shreya becaUse they find Sunidhi more versatile. Before you start throwing chappals at me, I donot concur with them and think shreya is way more better technically than sunidhi

Sonu has sung in Tamil, Telugu, Malayan, Bangla, Gujarati, punjabi, oriya and is known as the golden voice of Kannada which is certainly not his language. Now??

Sonu has barely sung a handful of songs in Tamil or Telugu, None in Malayalam to my knowledge. He is barely understandable in Tamil and Telugu. Shreya has sung in the Tamil and Telugu industries from 2002 or 2003 onwards, consistently till now. Malayalam a little later, perhaps 2008 till now. The biggest two South industries are Tamil and Telugu, Malayalam is a little less small and Kannada has barely a presence to my knowledge. None of the big South singers have huge Kannada presence. So perhaps Sonu is big for them or he knows the language IDK. But for the huge South Industries, Shreya it is. By those metrics, Shreya is the better singer.
