both are great , but shreya is too junior to sonu , she was a kid back in days when sonu sang his first playback song in early 90's

I do think Sonu could have had a better career for whatever reason which he has not had. I really don't know much about him, so I am not qualified to say why.

in bollywood every one have their specified time sonu had his peak since mid 90's to 2000 era he not only created name for himself in playback but also have been a succesful indi pop artist his private albums were rage back in 90's dewana , kismat , yaad etc..., everyone is replaceable no matter how talented one is and in today time where software sings more than voices it was bound to happen i mean sonu downfall, after 2013 when sonu took stand for royalty and illegal contracts he losses many songs to other singers like hangover tere yadoon ka from kick , tera dehan kidhar hai (arijit) , ghalat baat hai (javid ali) and many more of his songs got dubbed by other singers till arijit become big name after aashique 2 , as a carrier arijit replaced sonu which is fact but as a singer he can not sonu is superior to arijit or other new singers in term of singing any day

Yup I agree. Sonu's career was cut short because of the controversies surrounding him and that's what saddens me the most. Atleast his Bollywood career. But his work outside film music is still extensive and his repertoire of songs encompasses almost all genres. But ya.. it's sad that today's generation has no idea who sonu nigam is and he could have been as legendary as Mohd Rafi or Kishore Kumar. But still his career is not over. He is still singing and nowadays he is singing anything given to him.!so maybe he wishes to be in the competition again. Who knows?? And all he requires is that one song. Trust me.. he can do wonders with it!

Leave aside the film music. Do you really think that arijit can replace Sonu?? Too early to tell. Maybe another 10 years and we'll see

replace in term of being on mainstream and singing for every film which sonu used to do in 2000 era he used to be voice of salman shahrukh shahid akshey govinda hirtik everyone 😊
