Reasons no 2, 3 and 6

2 Salman did not lift any skirt from his mouth.

3 Salman did not make any foot in mouth comments or controversial comment

6 No one turned up to see a man child with consitpated expressions.

Started right from the trailer, which did not appeal to most people. Salman's emotional/crying scenes were found to be hilarious due to his constipated "serious acting" expression by almost all neutrals. That did the damage among that section of people.

Bhai fans found nothing of their usual stuff in the movie (masala, badass attitude, songs), and realized that they might not like this one.

I think the movie ended up alienating everyone, with each group thinking the movie is not for them. And many of those that decided to give it a chance found it to be slow or boring, spread the word, and the rest is history. 😊

I just watched Tubelight! One of the best film of the year! The promos didn't do justice. The negative WOM is from that and people making assumptions from other fandoms doing chance pe dance (some people have waited a long time for this... as sad as it sounds). I'm glad I didn't believe people on this forum and went to go watch it myself

Frankly IDK about others, but I just came back from watching it a little while ago and more than anything, I was just so bored. The scenes with Matin were cute but beyond that, nothing really held my interest. It just seemed so childish and juvenile. Salman played the same naive character like Bajrangi Bhaijaan again. There was very little story, just a dude waiting for his bro to come back and making friends with a kid who happens to look chinese.

Exactly! I mean he did not say that in an abusive sense and besides so many friends call each other worse names in real life 😆
