Yayyy thank you for this post!!! 1 year of Ishqbaaaz guys.. wow😳
I remember watching the first episode of Ishqbaaaz and the character I immediately fell in love with was Omkara. I mean Shivaay was hot in black, Annika adorable but Omkara was just.. his hair, his eyes, his artistry.. ooh and i think he was wearing glasses in the first episode, his entry scene haha.. lovvved it.. not to mention the KHNK background themesong. 😳
My absolute favourite character. He was realistic, flawed, simple, beautiful and most importantly, layered and deep. On Indian tv, it is rare to see a character who is male and appreciates simplicity. Not in terms of people, but within nature and the world as well. Argh.. he was so perfect. (He is different now with good and bads.. but you know).
Thank you Kunal for showcasing your talent. One thing I want to add: I have always, and still believe that Omkara was and is an underrated character. In Ishqbaaaz, I believe Om was underrated which made him so popular and loved.. but I also believe that him being underrated was good until after the 100th episode??? Or basically after he got extremely poor screenspace, along with Lee and the story began to focus solely on Shivika. (Not bashing!!) ALSO, The O'bro chemistry is just something else😛 Kunal is amazing as Omkara in DBO.. not as awesome as Ishqbaaaz wala Om but just extremely grateful he has his own show. DBO has showed so much oh my mums and falooda that i'm sure I speak for many when I say this, Kunal is the only reason we watch this show. And Shrenu too now, LOL as we've warmed up to Gauri. She is fullon badass
