Plus this is Indian Tv serial : TRPS decide the protagonist.
Jennifer is a phenomenal performer while honestly , Aneri as Saanjh isn't that good an actress as Jennifer is
They should've taken a far stronger actress who can stand up to Jenny and counter attack her as a powerful protagonist.
They should've taken Umang jain as Saanjh instead of Aneri.
Aneri doesn't have the maturity to play Saanjh.
And also, Arjun-Maya has been promoted as a couple from the very beginning and ofcourse, Sony won't dare to upset the minimal trp audience they have.
Plus Aneri's chemistry with Kushal isn't good enough for fans to demand the Arjun-Saanjh couple.
Plus many people even don't like Saanjh.
There's a chance Saanjh might win the game but then Indian trp audience doesn't like Surprise endings .
Add to that Maya and Arjun's sizzling chemistry and Aneri's failure to play her role properly .
And we get a mess that doesn't convey the message the producers were trying to give out.
That's why casting is very important.
It can make or break a show
And in case of Beyhad and few other shows, bad casting is forcing the cvs to change the direction of the story
Geez.

While Aneri isn't bad, she's not great either. Umang Jain? Nah. A Surbhi Chandna or an Adaa Khan would have played the role of a thwarted lover to a t. it would have been so much fun to watch the show then (at least for the performances since the writing of this show's always been slipshod since day one so there's no point in complaining about it towards the fag end of the show IMO😆). The person who actually sticks out like a sore thumb is Kushal Tandon. I watched the season finale episode just now after 1 month of quitting the show for good. Oh boy,Jen and Piyush actually sizzle on screen. Wish they'd provided their respective characters with powerful character trajectories instead of turning them into one-note freakshows🥱

First of all, no personal attack... Second, I am also a woman so look for some other insult to throw at me.

See, I personally know a lot of female criminal lawyers who really didn't have the "strong personal motive" to be one as you say. My mother personally found the subject intriguing compared to blander law subjects so she took up. Her other female colleagues in the same line also took up the subject because they found it interesting compared to the mundane duties of being a public prosecutor or legal advisor. In real life, being a criminal lawyer is simply a personal choice. It has nothing to do with a strong personal motive. There is no requirement that Female criminal lawyers have to be strong minded hard jawed military women.

I have also got lawyers in my family but they are pretty mature compared to Sanjh's character. None of them is a happy-go-lucky woman, and having a strong mind has nothing to do with facial features.

What you stated above indeed happens in real life, but this is fiction we are talking about and in this particular story, we need a strong minded criminal lawyer.

Have you ever seen a happy-go-lucky criminal lawyer dealing with psychopaths? It is one thing to be a criminal lawyer, it is another to handle cases alone, especially the one that involved mentally challenged criminals.

And anyways, all girls are strong minded. It's the boys who has big ego problems when they see a girl excelling in a field dominated by them.

Girls are simply human beings ... Do you really think all human beings are strong minded?

Saanjh might be a carefree girl , but there is absolutely no wrong in her to choose to be a criminal lawyer. In real life, our personalities don't match to our jobs- and it's absolutely right for Saanjh to be a criminal lawyer alongside being a carefree girl.

I should have said 'competent' criminal lawyer, not the one who keep losing cases. Sorry to say that but I have never seen a carefree girl in any serious profession in my life, not even in medical. It is one thing to be a college going girl, but by the time you pass out, you get some maturity, you learn when to speak and how to speak for the least.
