Okay so now before we get on our high horses and take a U turn away from the Ishqbaaaz world- I must say the Promo has gotten me hella pepped up, and it's not because of the separation track! Although I am not a hater either and I am actually pleasantly surprised that they have managed to gear them up towards a more enlightening growth of characters! So yes I am celebrating the separation because quite frankly it was (the corny romance) getting quite monotonous and perhaps almost pointless- because although the characters had grown in terms of ideologies they remain rooted in their own beliefs-
No matter how much you tell me NKK is of Shivaay's past đ to me it is that itching pest that won't die!
To be honest, I was much more disappointed with Anika's character than anyone else's because no matter how much you told me she was still the independent woman she once was- I completely disagree, she was being hung in the same cycle of not ever being completely trusted, not to mention she had just become Mrs.Oberoi the pati vrata patni, the upcoming Jhanvi 2.0 AND IM TIRED! I want to see the khirki tod Anika back in action!
This leads on to the promo... ANIKA IS BACK BABY đ [:D/] Now how many of us imagined her to be a recluse crying in the first promo because I definitely did owing to her usual weeping (NOW GUL MATA PLEASE STOP GIVING US A CRYING ANIKA)
DID YOU SEE HER SMIRK? Omg I was dead out laughing like YES yes yes yes!! Because honestly I think TASHAN is the ShivIka forte, it's what I loved about them in the initial episodes! The fire is something else when they clash! Yes Romance is great- and they are adorable! But I want Bagad Billa and Pannika! And not the romantic kind!
It must be noted the what a lot of you may class as progress, I very plainly see it as a veil- they have hid their issues, they "buried the hatchet"- dug a grave and buried their problems alive! You cannot accidentally marry someone and stay with them, it can't work like that, not after their showdown- it's almost as if Anika keeps saying to herself "he did it this time and he won't do it again" but he will, if not now then definitely later! It shows in the fact he can't even address his own monster, he somehow just expects Anika to deal with it by saying "that's just who I am" like HELLO it doesn't work like that!
And I know some may say I am being harsh on Shivaay; he's saved Anika multiple times but what you don't see is that they are NOT EQUAL! They are not equal in their relationship, Shivaay pretty much always has the upper hand, I never see him being bombarded with insults, or walked over, nor is his character dismissed in terms of endearment!
This time round I need it to be different so GULNEET this is not a post to bash you, rather I see what you have done creatively, if you want the show to have more depth more background, and you want it to last for over a year then you must at some point realise that you have built a house without the proper foundation, it therefore collapses and then you must build it again PROPERLY! Now you need to make sure Anika's character gives it back to Shivaay, I want to see him GENUINELY BROKEN, to feel he is unworthy of her, not just suddenly finding out she hasn't slept with someone and deciding okay yeah she could now possibly play backup!
Coming back to the promo: It's regressive YES, but there is somewhat of a role reversal, they need to touch base with every single aspect of love including being courted, jealously, a lot of missing, cute moments, understanding who the other person truly is and moulding for one another! Anika's background will be revealed- they know not to take their relationship for granted!
I am no fan of Aditi- I have seen her in PMHMD and she's plays on heck of an obsessive, manipulative woman! Not happy about her linking hands with Shivaay- but WOOH that TADI is back baby! The other guy lusting over Anika, HELL YEAH, I just wish he isn't creepy Daksh and treats her well in that it makes Shivaay jealous, not all dreams are realistic đ
Main point of this entire post is Anika's face after the car blows up đ đ It was pretty darn good!
