From yesterday's episode.

Samay truly fell in love with Maya after agnipreeksha or petrol pareeksha. Then why did she cheat him for Arjun?

And why Maya wore thigh showing short dress when meeting a man alone for some favour? Without knowing what sort of man can he be?

And Maya is still hiding crucial facts. And so is Samay. He has not told about Maya getting his dna on her body.

Will Saanjh be dumb enough to trust Maya once again?

I find this line offensive. Why should she or any woman alter her way of dressing for any man? She can wear whatever the heck she wants.
Are you saying that the creep wouldn't have taken advantage if she had gone to him wearing a salwar kamiz?
It's not about the clothes of the woman but the character of the man.

Well, no problem even if she wears bikini to meet a male lawyer.

Yes, saree clad women also get raped.

Even old women and infants also get reaped by perverts.

Samay is a pervert.

Mine is just an observation. If it is my daughter, I will ask her to cover up to be more safe. Especially when uncivilised people are roaming freely.

I agree with you. So many times the woman's attire is blamed for a man's lustful eyes to fall on her. A man's lust for a woman is irrespective of her attire. The ones with rape mentality are sick minds.

It all begins at home during the formative years. Sons need to be taught and advised by their parents how to respect a woman.

Even today so many men and women think and talk about women as inferior to men. And this gets ingrained in the minds of some men right from their formative years. And some of these men begin to view women as their objects of desire, their prized catches and what not.

This is big problem with the society even today.

You go cover up in buses. Most of the girls wear salwar kameez. I am not sure there wont be one girl out there who has not been molested by men in public transport while travelling to school, college or work.
I completely agree with Fragrance. Instead of looking at a girl's attire and asking her to do this and that, boys has to taught at home how to behave.

Parents can inculcate values but when these boys or men can develop these traits because of friends, internet and even films.

Samay was looking at those uncovered parts of her body with crooked smile.

Many colleges have dress code and even workplaces have some sort of dress code.

If you go to middleeastern countries, you will find very conservative dress code.

Except for western countries.

Dress code doesnt stop oogling. Let us not compare what is the dress code for Middle East countries because this is India a democratic country where as per the constitution a woman has as much right as a man though the patriarchal society love to impose its double standards.
If a man has that trait, then it is his problem. He has to learn to manage it and he should not be justified for that trait at any point.

What Samay asked Maya was wrong and he would have done it even if Maya had gone in salwar kameez or a burqa. That's the man's attitude.

And what Maya did to Samay after getting the power was also wrong. So it is just about a man and a woman who decided to play with each other and it has nothing to do with Maya's dressing.

But anyways it is personal attitude and I dont want to get into an argument. People are free to keep their views

India has a great consitution and it should be implemented properly to ensure the rights and responsibilities. Inspite of constitution, khap panchayats are thriving with politicians supporting it for votes. Dowry is there in the form of appeasement of desires of groom party. Women can wear whatever they wish but living in conservative society makes the choices limited. It is better to say nothing about men and their attitude towards their women and outsiders. This attitude can change only if there is stringent law enforcement and education. More women should be enrolled in armed forces and police forces. And there should be proportionate representation in judiciary for women. Dangal showed the way how women can overcome even physical limitations to face the world.

very true. Dress code is personal choice and no man has the right to touch a girl even if she was wearing a skimpy dress. Period.

But in this serial, the so called victim (Maya) repeatedly sought Samay for favours. Let's assume she was raped by Samay when she went to him the first time asking for favours. A lawyer would argue it in many ways. The victim was given options. Samay did tell her that he wants something in return. Which was, either sleep with him to get her business back so that she could get back at her father or choose to walk out. I have not see him forcing himself on her. She was free to walk out. I did not see him forcing himself on her neither did she accuse him of rape. She was okay with it because she got in return what she wanted.

One thing to think here is would a rape victim repeatedly go to the perpetrator asking for favours? Would any victim do it?

Later, we are shown that Maya used him for her personal vendetta. From the beginning she has been using Samay. He was a pawn, a tool in her hands. All along she promised to love him and even made gestures to support the same.

Which rape victim would go after the perpetrator asking him to do another act of rape?

So where is the crime committed? Is she truly a victim? What are we arguing about Rape being a horrible act. The whole topic of Rape is another subject. Yes it is wrong, vile and despicable. No one should undergo such an experience. No one is condoning it.

All we are discussing is the circumstances shown in the serial. These are two separate topics.
