Sushant Singh Rajput's Response On Raabta Receiving A Thumbs Down At The Box Office

"Failure of a film doesn't scare me. But I am aware it has repercussion." - says Sushant

June 12, 2017

Raabta might have opened to terrible reviews and poor box office numbers, but Sushant Singh Rajput's confidence is something which will never be affected by these things. The Raabta actor, who is oozing with self-confidence, explains why a film's failure doesn't scare' him.Sushant's latest release Raabta has been directed by Dinesh Vijan. The reincarnation drama, which marks film producer Dinesh Vijan's debut as a director, also stars Kriti Sanon in the female lead. The film has had a slow start and collected Rs 13.93 crores at the box office over the opening weekend.

Sushant Singh Rajput: Failure Of A Film Doesn't Scare Me

The numbers are much less compared to Sushant's previous film M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story, which made a whopping collection of Rs 66 crores in its opening weekend and made a lifetime collection ofRs 133.04 crores. But the actor is not bothered about poor box office figures.

Talking to IANS, Sushant said, "No, failure of a film doesn't scare me. But I am aware it has repercussion. It doesn't scare me because I started (acting) when I quit Delhi College of Engineering and I was doing theatre... I was staying with six guys in a single room...

Trending :

Sushant, who started off his Bollywood career as a background dancer, elaborated on his struggle, saying, "I used to get Rs 250 per play that I used to do... I used to dance in the background and I used to be so excited... I still am with all the acknowledgment and money... I can match that.

Be it film or television, the medium is not important for Sushant. For the 31-year-old actor, acting is of top priority. The M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story star said: "When I was doing theatre or TV, I was thinking, Okay, I have to slog right now because one day I will be successful. I was successful then... Be it theatre, TV or films I don't care... As long as I act.

This he mentioned in the Film Companion interview with Anupama chopra before the release of the film.
Theyve just used that and made it seem like a response from him after the film release.

Damage control has already started...

This Young Actor Is Taking Anger Management Classes To Control His Temper

He is a popular face in Bollywood but it seems like his face is in the news for all the wrong reasons. He is now in damage control mode. We have all the details...
He is an actor who has been tagged as a rising star. But, the list of his critics is getting longer by the day.

It is said that every good person has a dark side; so does he and the actor has been in news lately for his temper, which rises quickly. The young actor has been snapping at everyone and that too in public, from journalists at press conferences to his co-stars during promotional events.

Though his co-stars seem to have his back, the media certainly does not and has already put him under the list of spoilt actors'. God knows if it's the pressure of stardom or his much talked about personal life, which has got the man boiling up.

The good part is that the actor is ready to mend his ways and has accepted that he does have anger issues.

He wants to control his constant mood swings and has taken a step towards improvement by signing up for anger management classes.

A little birdie told us, "He is actually quite hurt by the negative things being said about him and this actually made him think about what was going wrong. He is affected by the comments so he has decided to take anger management classes.

Well, we'd like to tell the lad that it's never too late for self-improvement!

Sushant used to act submissive joru ka gulam when he was with Ankita. In reality shows he was this polite guy.
His expression were always aggressive while dancing. I never liked him dancing.

Perhaps he maintained that polite veegi billi image to show consistency with his reel life character Manav from Pabitra Rista.

Liked his response! That's the spirit. ⭐️

One or two failures does not guarantee a flop career. :)

Hopefully SSR's next film brings success for him.👍🏼

So basically he was sitting and waiting to see that what happens to Raabta. The moment they said Raabish he became a good boy again? If not he would have continued in the same vein? If he realized there was something wrong in his behavior why wait for a flop to take corrective action?

I do not know..there are some faces that click as hero and then there others who do not. In between are some who do hero roles but their personality and look is not of hero..such actors work in 2-3 movies but in long run they do not succeed

SSR is one such hero...i do not think he is hero material. He comes out as TV level actor..its like Gautam Gulati becoming a hero.

Oh on that note it has been few years late since when Gautam was suppose to storm bollywood lol

oh hippo..why r u so right in analyzing people...why

Totally agree, before he use to act like a jerk and had so much overconfident after Dhoni's success, because of his overconfident he dumped Ankita that always stood by him but now he is acting like a gentleman after his film flopped so badly.
