CHAPTER 1

The breeze was so soothing that it can vanish away any anxiety.

The kites in sky were moving do fiercely as if a warrior is is trying to penetrate opponent's web.

A guy is seen flying a kite. His light coloured orbs were focussed on the red colored kite flying effortlessly against the cloudy sky background. Children on nearby terraces were shouting ALI BHAI !!! JUST DO IT.

Yes. The guy is none other than our ALI. The cheering boosted Ali and he was determined to win this kiye match anyhow.

A girl is seen in white dress is climbing the stairs recklessly by skipping alternate steps. She finally reached the terrace and saw Ali. Her face was covered by her hairs due to sudden breeze vanishing into her hairs. She removed her hair strands from her face and shouted

" Ali ! Tera kya hoga Ali " .

Ali heard the voice and a wide smile appeared on his face. He turned to see the girl and gestured with his hand to come and join him .

The girl went to him and pinched him hard on his arm . Due to this he loosened his grip on thread and lost the match . He frowned . And turned towards the girl who was now laughing looking at his expressions.

He shouted " Kya yaar Avni teri wajah se dekh kya hogaya.

Avni mimicked him and this made him run behind her. After a good running of Tom and Jerry he caught her and twisted her hand and said" Avni ki bacchhi ab tu dekh".

Suddenly Nanno shouted from downstairs " Avniii" .

" ohh ! Dekh tere chakkar me bhool gayi Nanno bula rahi hai. Chal neeche." said Avni.

Ali released her hand and asked her to go he'll be coming.

She ran downstairs and saw Nanno speaking to herself while setting the dishes on dining table.

" Marjane kambakht pata nahi kaha mar gaye is umar me budhiya ko tang karke na jaane kya milta h muho ko.

Mori to kisiko chinta hi nahi hai."

Avni goes to Nanno , hugs her and says " Nanno you are the best aur ham sab aapko bhot pyaar karte hai jaante hai na aap" . She looks at Nanno making sweet puppy face.

Nanno smiles and slaps her face lightly and says " Hatt pare makhan na laga mujhe tori Nanno hu main sab samajhti hoon . Chal ja sabko bula kar la."

Avni goes to Neela's room and sees her busy in picking paper littered on tbe floor. She enters the room and helps her.

Neela : Thank you bacchha.

Avni : Maa!!! Maine kya kaha tha no work stress then what's this. Chaliye Khana kha lijiye. Nanno table pe wait aur gussa dono kar rahi hai.

Neela smiles : Avni main unhe shaant karti hoon . Tum Aman ko lekar aa jao.

Avni thinks for a sec and then moves towards Aman's room. With a broad smile plastered on her face she knocks. And hesitantly enters the room.

Aman was doing some work .

Avni : hey Aman! Project work haan ! Wanna some help.

Aman lifts his head up from laptop to see Avni.

Aman : aap yaha . Kuch kaam tha.

Avni was a bit startled . But she knew Aman needs time.

Avni : i just came to call you for lunch.

Aman asked her to go he will join .

As she came to the dining area she found Neela chatting with Nanno and Nanno smiling. Neela saw Avni admiring them from a distance. She asked her to sit .

Ali was already seated. All three ladies sat at their places and were waiting for Aman.

He came. They started the lunch.

Avni ate very less and talked too much . She often high fives with Ali . But Aman was least participating in discussion but heard it. He finished his food first and left immediately. Everyone's face fell.

Avni suddenly remembered something and said I think I should leave Maa . Will come again . Take care Nanno . Bye Ali.

Ali : Ruk jaa na yaar . Itne din baad ayi h.

Avni : Sorry Ali . Need to leave . Main aaongi na pakka.

Ali : Msusam kharab hai . Baarish hone wali hai.

Avni : Phir to jaana or bhi jaroori hai Ali.

Ali : Avni why are you doing this tu jaanti h na...

Avni : ( cutting him in between) Ali i think we had enough discussion about it so please i don't wanna repeat that all over again . Please.

She took her handbag and left.

In a very big mansion a lady is seen cooking or we should say burning the food. As Avni entered the KHANNA MANSION she heard a lady shouting madly at the servants. She immediately rushed towards the kitchen and saw Mrs Shweta Khanna with a burnt piece of bread in her hands, some flour into her hairs and face , ruined clothes standing near the center counter of kitchen in a fully messed kitchen.

"Avni dekh beta maine socha tere liye cakes cooks karti hoon but in nikamno ne sab kuch spoil kar diya." she said to Avni with cute face expression and watery eyes.

Avni moved forward and cupped her face .

" Mom apne mere liye bnaya. Main jaroor khaungi " Avni took spoon and was aabout to eat but Shweta stopped her.

" Don't eat this I'll make a new one for you and that too a good one "

" And I'll help my mom in that "

Both smiled and Avni gestured the servants to leave.

Avni cooked the cake . Shweta assisted her. They laughed, chat and enjoyed each others company.

The cake was ready Avni did icing.

Shweta : wow! Its looking beautiful. Ab praksh ji ko bataungi ki mujhe cooking aati h ya nahi.

OMG ! Prakash ji ko apni file chahiye thi . Avni beta main chalti hoon.

Avni : Mom ! Your foot is hurt na. Aap kyu nahi sunte ho meri baat . Now you go to your room and relax . I'll go to office and when me and papa will return we'll have the cake you made. OK. Now go.

Avni picks the file from study and moves towards the office.

In office Mr Prakash Khanna was waiting for his wife or file.

On seeing his DIL walking in eith the file he smiled at her .

He was so proud of this girl. His DIL Avni Ayesha Khanna. An emerging successful business tycoon. A superpower herself. The face of KHANNA INDUSTRIES and the reason behind the great success of this inindustry.

She came towards him and said "Here you go dad. I think you were waiting for this. "

Prakash took file and went inside asking Avni to go home he'll get late today.

As he finished the meeting and came out he saw Avni waiting. He went to her asked " Aap ghar nahi gaye puttar . Main aaj ek important presentation par work karke ghar aa paunga "

Avni handed him the laptop and showed him a presentation. " I have already made that so you don't stress yourself."

Prakash : This is great . Pat puttar don't take so much work pressure on yourself

Avni : Dad that was nothing. Now stop chatting . Let's go home. Mom has cooked a cake. She must be waiting.

Both moved to the house.

All three enjoyed the time together. Shweta fed prakash ji cake . Cake was nice. But the fact was hard to digest for prakash ji that it is made by shweta.

Avni took her share of cake in a plate and moved upstairs towards her room. Shweta Prakash saw her and their face fell . They hugged each other and to their room to sleep.

As Avni entered the room she kept the plate on side table and started to pull curtains aside. " sara kuch main hi karoon Mr Tillu kisi kaam ke nahi ho tum . " she said while looking at the smiling face of her husband.

She took the cake went near windows and sat there enjoying the cake.

Pata hai Neil aaj Ali se mili . Abhi tak usi purani baat pe atka hai ki wapas aaja. Maine bhi keh diya ki tumhe chodke kahin nahi jaaongi.

Aur tumhara Nanno or Maa ko saath rakhne ka faisla bilkul shi tha . They are really close. Ek dusre ki zindagi ke khaalipan ko bhar diya h dono ne.

Aman abhi tak wo sab bhool nahi paya hai Neil. Tumne use dekha kaise ek pal me bada hogaya.

He still don't love me lekin pata hai mujhse nafrat bhi nahi karta aur tum hi to kehto ho waqt ke saath sab thik ho jayega ...

Saying this her eyes became watery. And she stood up .

Tum bhi na moka chahiye mujhe baato me lagaane ka room dekha hai . Kitna bikhra hua h.

She started to place things at right place.

Yeh gila towel . Tumhare company ka asar hai. She was setting the room and was narrating him the day at the same time

While passing beside the bed she collided with something and dropped down hurting herself badly.

She loked towards Neil but he didn't move . How can it move it was just a portrait a memory of her dead husband . Martyred IPS officer Neil khanna.

Main thik hoon Neil . Im ok.

Sab kuch sahi hain . Main sab kuch sahi kar loongi.

Ye kamra tumhari yaadon se bhara h magar tumhari aahato ko tarasta h Neil.

Main jitna kar sakti hoon usse jyada hasti hoon. Rona nahi hai mujhe. Kyunki tumhara intezaar karna hai mujhe. Tum aaoge. Mom ke liye, Dad ke liye. Mere liye...

Avni now broke down in front of Neil's portrait.

She hugged the frame and sat there in the same position whole night.
