CHAPTER 3
The night was quite restless. Dehradoon has very tempting weather and beautiful places to watch. But for Avni all this doesn't matter. She just wanted to finalize the deal asap and return back to home.
She was constantly thinking about the meeting with Mr Kapoor to convince him to sell that land to KHANNA INDUSTRIES.
She asked Mr Chauhan to fix a meeting with Mr Kapoor early morning. Mr Chauhan informed her about the meeting to be held at AYAN GROUP OF INDUSTRIES. He asked her to be punctual and reach threre at exactly 7 am to avoid any kind of inconvenience.
Avni reached there before time. The office building was very big and each and everything was representing the arrogance and riches that the owner possesses.
Avnu was waiting at the reception. She was waiting there from past three hours. After loosing all her patience she decided to ask receptionist about it.
The receptionist asked her to wait as Mr Kapoor is quite busy. Avni's temper was rising eith each passing second. After waiting for two more hours she asked her again.
The receptionist introduced Avni to Ms Tanu .
Avni asked Ms Tanu about him .
Tanu : mam! You'll have to wait for some more time.
Avni : but i m waiting here from last 5 hours. Still no response . This is so irresponsible behavior.
Tanu : if you want to meet him you can wait. And if you can't do that then you are absolutely free to walk away.
Avni now became red with anger. She was about to reply when Tanu got a call and excused herself.
Tanu : yes sir! I have done as you directed.
Neil :( on call) good. Now instruct everyone not reply any querry of Ms Avni.
Neil was so angered on knowing that Chauhan has sent a girl who claim that she can convince me to leave that Mumbai land deal. He decided to teach that girl a good lesson.
He was watching Avni waiting at reception from past 5 hours. He cancelled all meeting of the day to enjoy the helplessness and desperation of Avni.
Although he passes by a hundred girls within a single day. But this girl Avni she had something in her which was tempting Neil more and more.
"So Ms Avni Khanna now you'll come to know that convincing Neil Kapoor to step back in any race is not just next to impossible but far away to impossible." Neil said to himself while looking at the enraged face of Avni in his laptop.
Avni kept waiting as she cannot risk the future of that hospital that could help a lot of needy people and earn her a lot of blessing for Neil's well being.
She hadn't ate anything from morning and now its 7 pm.
Now the tigress inside Avni waked and she directly entered Mr Kapoor's cabin resisting the protest of his PA.
As she entered she was shocked to see the senerio.
A middle aged man was sitting in the chair . She felt like giving him a trailer of all that she had learnt in karate.
But again she calmed herself.
Avni : are you Mr Kapoor.
Man : no i m his manager but you can tell me the matter.
Avni : i had a meeting with your so arrogant boss. Even after waiting for 12 hours no response . I mean how much you can test a person calmness and patience.
The manager gave her a sarcastic smile ans spoke in a very creepy tone.
Man : relax miss. I know you are worried about that land deal. Our boss is like this only. Ye unka style hai. Or rahi baat deal ki use app bhool jayiye.
He handed her a glass of water.
Neil was watching all this. He couldn't stop himself from admiring the full on angry young girl expressions on Avni's beautiful face.
Avni now had enough of all this. She took the glass of water and poured it on half bald head. She got hold of his collar.
"Listen you . Don't you dare cross your limits. I know very well people like you. So stop this circus and just let me meet him once. Otherwise I'll make each and everyone of you pay for this." Avni spoke all in one go.
" go now " she pushed him back leaving his collars.
This act of Avni made Neil burst out in laughter.
He has never seen so daring girl like Avni.
"kuch baat to hai miss avni. We will have a good game together . But ye game hamesha mere tarike se khela jayega." He again smiled.
He called his manager to apologize to Avni and send her into my cabin. The manager followed as instructed.
Avni one again for the last time composed herself. And decided in her mind on what to speak in front of him.
As she opened the door she found cabin to be dark with only some dim lighting.
Neil : please come in and have a seat.
This voice made Avni made tremble. Her heart started racing . Her mind was screaming just one name NEIL NEIL AND JUST NEIL.
she saw a person sitting in front of her facing the wall. She wasn't able to see the face. She shrugged off her thoughts. This can't be Neil's voice. May be i m just thinking about him too much.
Avni : Actually...
Neil :( cuts her in between) Look Ms Avni. This is my personal time i m spending on you . So just listen.
You want that Mumbai land right . Then what will i get. Main batata hun . I have a offer for you. As we are going to have our new venture in Mumbai. So if you could manage me to get a good land in Mumbai I can sell that land to you.
Avni was dumbfounded after listening his voice. Each time he uttered a word she feel like going and seeing him for once. She was lost in her own world of thoughts.
A voice again snapped her out of her thoughts.
Neil : Are you listening Ms Avni.
Avni : yeah! Which type of land you want.
Neil : No not type. I want a specific land. On M G road a cafe is located. I want that cafe land. My people have approached the owner many times but he was reluctant.
That cafe is some CHAMKO CAFE. And owner name is Ali.
So if you could manage to get that for me I'll fulfill your wish.
Avni was so enraged at this offer that she wanted to slap that man.
Avni : Mr Kap...
Neil : ( again interrupted her in mid) I m in no hurry . You can go back to Mumbai . Try it out. I'll be there in three days for my new venture. We'll have a meeting over there. And ya that won't be one sided.
You may leave now.
Avni mind was so disturbed . The reason wasn't single.
First his voice was just like she is talking to Neil. Second the hospital land deal. And now this devil is eyeing Ali's cafe too.
Avni stood from chair and started to walk out. But involuntarily she turned back to look at him for once.
As she was going towards her car. She missed a step and was about to fall but someone supported her from back and made her stand on her feets again. As Avni turned to thank him she saw his retreating figure.
Her heartbeat wasn't normal . She was feeling completely lost . Instead of going back to hotel she decided to leave for Mumbai.
Avni shaant nahi thi. Ek din me itna kuch ho gya. She felt as if she was so close to Neil. But she thought it is because of being hungry and feeling dizzy.
She left for Mumbai and told herself to hold her horses.
