Next she is doing Padman , a side role

Veere de wedding is home production

Next what? She is too snob to do flower pot roles after Neerja I guess

I think she'll continue to act the way she's done so far... I like the movies she's picked up for herself all through her career(except that movie along with AB Jr).

Don't worry she has a bright future ahead of her.

In Padman, Sonam will play a tabla player. I don't think it's a "side role". It's a pivotal one.

Veree Di Wedding isn't the first home production she's doing and so far the movie she did with her sister were successful. It 's fun and bright.

Doing a role opposite Kareena Kapoor is no small feat imo.

You forgot to mention that she's doing a small role in Rajkumar Hirani's Dutt. It'll be nice I think and even though she's won't have much screen time, I hope her role will be deemed as pivotal because even if we know she'll be Dutt's GF, we don't know what is it about.

Also it'll be a way for her to work with RH and maybe have the luck to work with him in the future.

It's a good thing to be too "snob" to do flowerpot roles. We can see how far it took Sonakshi.

Also, lot of people on IF think Sonam lacks sex-appeal which, I think, is necessary to play such roles.

As a fan, I prefer to see her in a few movies as long as her role is interesting instead of in tenth forgetable roles.

Her role in Padman is definetly not a side role. In fact, I think she is the lead. In the real story Arunachalam's wife divorce him because she couldn't deal with his ambition and people believing he was some kind of perverse.
She was not part of the whole process : it wasn't until he gained recognition that she came back to him, so I am assuming Radhika role is not that substantial.
We don't know much about Sonam's role but I have a feeling it is going to be something unexpected from her.
I feel like after Neerja, she won't agree to a role if it is not going to challenge her.
As far as her future is concerned : she never links herself to every film or director possible.
If we get to read about something well it means it's happening.
I am sure she is doing her part and reading scripts and if she has signed something well we will know when it's time.

Dont know if her future will be "bright" or "successful" but it will hopefully be interesting. She is not suitable for mainstream cinema. I see her doing offbeat roles till she is 35/36 and then get married.
