We're going around in circles because you're dragging in your own issues and personal problems and freaking out about general comments. From the very beginning you started off with how thin women are "not real." Then you claimed it's a "myth" that anyone can lose weight or that fat is unhealthy, then called being thin which is the natural state a "fad" and being toned is a "materialistic issue" and started with the comments about how I'm the one that's bitter. So guess where the personal attack started. It certainly wasn't from me.

I have always really disliked people bringing in their own personal issues since then nobody can reply at all because anything will be termed a personal attack. It's a good way to shut down discussion. I don't want to discuss your body or your problems so you can rant all you like. My comments were never about you or your body.

As far as a paunch goes - if it's fat, it's bad. Visceral fat is unhealthy and puts a person at risk for many different problems. If it's temporary bloating, then it doesn't matter. It's just water. It could also be that a person has a normal BMI but is flabby so the stomach sticks out. In that case, some crunches and other exercises will take care of the problem. And if a person is losing weight but having trouble in the stomach area, it's not a big deal. If they keep it up, the stomach area will go too eventually. It could also just be loose skin left over after weight loss but I suppose some spanx could take care of that.

Celebrities get scrutinized because they're selling their faces and bodies so if it's not up to the mark, people will notice. At least fat is something in the person's control. Here, people get bashed for their height, hair loss, noses and various other things that are god-gifted. And then if they get surgeries, they get trashed for that too.

But let's go crazy if someone gets called out for a fixable issue like a big stomach. Bravo.

Oh yeah, of course it's my fault. You're miss perfect who knows right from wrong for everything, and it's your job to preach at everyone. Yes I said thin women are not real in everyday life, and by thin I meant the extremely thin bordering on anorexic. Which is true. This is also an unhealthy body type and it does not represent the general population. It only feeds the idea that the only way to achieve beauty or success is by turning into bones.

It IS a myth because it is easier said than done and many have underlying issues that prevent this black and white picture that YOU paint. Yes it IS a fad and being toned HAS become more about looks rather than true healthiness. Healthiness does not mean one absolutely needs to be toned and muscled. All your comments in this thread are personal attacks, trying to convince everyone about your beliefs as if you're getting paid for it or something. Sure, we get one post about it, but instead constantly posting about it trying to prove a point. Yeah right. You're obsessed, and that's right, I won't take your crap. So call it what you will.

Lmao well it seems there's a lot of things you dislike. Good thing I don't live to please you, otherwise I would have to censor my speech to fit your desires and needs now too. And funny, you claim it's a good way to shut down discussion, and yet here we are, still discussing.

You sound like a broken record with your crap about physics and fat = bad, and how it's all so easy to lose weight for everyone. You think so? Good for you. What is your problem with people? You have a right to your beliefs, and yet from your comments it seems it's such a personal matter for you, almost as if you want to enforce your beliefs onto others. Why do you care what people believe and how they live their lives? That's their problem. You do you, and others will do what pleases them.

Priyanka is generally fit and so what if she has a bit of a belly poking out sometimes? It's not the end of the world, and nobody should shame her for it. You think she's unhealthy? Good for you. She doesn't live for your opinions though. Get on with your own life instead of focusing on what other people are or are not doing.

And one more thing anonymous - I am NOT going to continue going in circles about this with you. You seem to have personal problems regarding a lot of people and ideas, but this is just what I've noticed generally about you on this forum.

It's wonderful that you think weight is such a clear-cut topic, I'm sure you're able to deal with your own weight accordingly. Don't forget, though, that your approach to telling people about your beliefs is insensitive and inconsiderate. Who wants to listen to such a self-absorbed judgemental person? Not many.

You can respond to my posts, your choice, but I won't be responding now. I won't even be opening this thread anymore, I have no interest in seeing your broken record self repeat the same old stuff about physics and how it's so freaking easy to be thin blahblahblah.

Enjoy your world through your limited, narrow-minded lens. Bye.

Another attempt to shut down discussion and have the last word after ranting on and on for pages and throwing temper tantrums and screaming profanity. 😆

First of all, you did say "thin model like" women are not real. Now you're changing your words to sound reasonable by saying anorexic women are not real. Even anorexic women are real - they exist! It's a bad thing and it's very very rare. Nobody was asking Priyanka to be anorexic anyway so your point never made any sense.

Being thin and toned is not a "fad." Repeating it over and over doesn't change the fact that that is what's normal. Do you think hunters and gatherers were fat people? No, fatness is a modern epidemic because food is abundant now.

Why don't you take your own advice and stop thrusting your opinion onto others? I'm sure Priyanka doesn't care about my opinion. Same way nobody cares about your opinion either. Why are you so bothered then about what a random poster says online? Speaking about broken records, look who's talking. Find a mirror somewhere.

Guess what, this is a forum and people have whatever opinions they want. You can celebrate fatness and paunches all you want just like I can call it unhealthy. You clearly don't read because I said several times before that it can be hard for some people but losing weight is doable for everyone. You even freaked out at someone who said they're a doctor and said the same thing.

People here get trashed for things they can't change - everything from their height to the skin tone to their noses and hair loss. But yes, prize cow Priyanka with a paunch must be protected. How dare someone say anything about fatness? Something that's actually changeable.

Calm down - I can enjoy my view and you can enjoy your delusional views too. Lol thin bodies are not real, thinness is a fad, thin bodies are materialistic, etc. Truly bizarre stuff.

btw, I don't need your permission about what posts I respond to or not. Your epic tantrum was fun though. 😆 Bye!

Forgot this -

I swear I didn't know simple scientific facts were so hard. 😕

I would go with the previous member's response. Most likely it is menstrual bloating. It happens. The change in weight and shape can be significant for some women.

I would say it depends on how we define "fat". Rampant obesity is a modern epidemic. Obesity in upper class has been seen throughout history. But larger women with some amount of belly fat and side boob has been prevalent throughout history.

In fact once upon a time, slim women were considered unfit for breeding. We live in an era where a high number of women are being told to put on some weight before trying to get pregnant. Yes, but we do also live in an era where body positivity trumps health.

One just needs to draw a sensible balance.

^Agree. But people in the upper class were fat for the same reason - overabundance of food. It wasn't the epidemic it is now since huge populations have access to so much food now.

Anorexia/Bulimia is not great either but it only afflicts a teeny tiny percent of the population. Obesity on the other hand is rising at dramatic levels.

Human bodies are capable of great things and the ideal body type is definitely not overweight. That reduces so much of what the body can do and increases so many risks. It would have been okay for Queen Victoria to sit on her fat rump and eat because she was able to and had access to that much food and a life of leisure. I doubt her weight was from physics-defying conditions though. 😆

Ironically, India has a huge number of overweight people and also a huge number of underweight people. Quite a striking contrast between the upper classes that can overeat and the truly poor and starving. This is why this BS body-positivity thing is so gross. Complaining about "conditions" and "metabolism" and how hard the struggle is for people who have too much food and don't know how to control themselves living side by side to the truly underprivileged and hungry. Shame.
