Hi, this has been written in a rush to post this before the episode airs just so my views wouldn't change!
I'm sorry if you don't like it but I absolutely hate the butchering of Omkara's character and there's no limit to the pain I want him to go through right now.

"Omkara!"
It is Jhanvi's voice that stops him from doing something he is sure he would have regretted for the rest of his life. As it is, his feet refuse to support him at the horror he was just about to commit, he sways a bit. The hand stays in the hair and he looks down at his tiny wife who has her hands in front of her face in a defensive position. Her eyes are still shut close for a blow that doesn't land, all thanks to his mother.
"How dare you?" Jhanvi enters the room.
"Mom... I..." he quickly lowers his hand with shame.
"Please koi excuse de kar mujhe aur disappoint mat karo, Om. I did not expect this from you." She walks over to Gauri. This is a very different Jhanvi, he notes. This Jhanvi reminds him of the cut-throat woman of Oberoi boardrooms and it doesn't spell anything good for him, he knows.
"Gauri, tum theek ho? I'm sorry beta ki mujhe tumhaare saath ho rahi naainsaafi ke baare me dikhaayi hi nahi diya. Svetlana ke jaane ki khushi me mai tumse tumhaari marzi puchna to bhool hi gayi. Par ab pata chal gaya hai mujhe. Jo mere saath hua mai vo tumhaare saath nahi hone dungi. Omkara ke behaviour ke liye mai maafi maangti hu, shaayad humne hi ise kuch zyaada badhaava de diya. Chalo tum mere saath," she takes a hold of her wrist only to hear Gauri's soft cry of pain.
She looks down before bringing her wrist up to stare at the bracelet of bruises left by her son's harsh grip. Omkara reels back in shock at the sight as a sharp pain hits him in the chest. It feels much, much worse.
The marks stand stark against her pale skin and he feels shaky at the very sight of his own rage. What had he done?
"Hum theek hai. Chaliye," Gauri says softly, pulling Jhanvi with herself, not even sparing a look at him.
The total ignorance hurts him more than it should. She leaves with his mother and he sits back wondering since when had he become something he hated. He feels sad, disappointed and angry at himself for crossing the boundaries he never even intended to touch. And yet, here he is, raising his hand on his wife. Doing something he despises in his father.
There is no difference between him and Tej Singh Oberoi.
The realisation sends a chill of horror running down his spine.
The implications of what he was about to do has him scampering to his feet with a vehement need to apologise to her. A part of him wants her to know the real him, the real Omkara who blanched away from the very thought of hurting a woman, let alone his own wife.
His wife. Yes, she is his wife. The fact is another realisation that day for him.

He spends the rest of the day hunting her down to apologise for his behaviour and mend the broken bridges only to find her nowhere. And no one seems to know her whereabouts. Jhanvi doesn't even look at him when he asks her, choosing to leave the room rather than answering him.
Finally, he decides to go back to his room to wait for her. His room is the place she is bound to come, sooner or later. His quest is complete when he finds here there, closing the wardrobe with her lime-coloured dress in her hands.
She takes a step back the moment she senses his presence. The move sends a harsh pain searing like an arrow through him.
"Gauri, I'm-" he starts only to be cut off by her.
"Omkaraji, hum aapki nazron me to gire hue hai hi. Ab please hume apni khud ki nazron me mat giraiye. Hume aapki koi cheez nahi chahiye. Na aapki maafi, na aapka paisa," she says flatly, voice devoid of any emotion.
"Ab inka koi matlab nahi isiliye lauta rahe hai," she takes a measured step towards him and with trembling hands takes his hand to place something on his palm before turning to leave.
"Gauri, suno to-"he moves towards her to take her arm in his, only for her to rear back three steps with her hand raised to halt him.
"Aapko jo kehna tha, aap subah me bohot achi tarah se keh chuke hai," there's a chill in her voice as she looks at him with equally cold eyes. Its new for him, that coldness. His Gauri had always been sweet and warm with him even when he had yelled his head off at her. It is not a pleasant change and he doesn't like it at all, he realises even as guilt spears through him at the glimpse of the now-purple marks on her wrist.
It is enough to halt him in his steps. She uses his momentary hesitation to move out of the room swiftly. A second later, dread fills him as he makes out the things in his palm: her mangalsutra and the ring. He makes it to the door in two strides only to be stopped by his mother.
"Jaane do use. Ye lo," she hands him a file. He is least interested as he turns to look at her retreating back. There's a part of him that moves away from him with every step she takes.
"Mom, I need to talk to her," he begs.
"You cannot talk to her," she says calmly, still blocking the way.
"She's my wife. Aap mujhe rok nahi sakti," he reminds her.
"Ye annulment papers hai, Om. Inpar Gauri ke signatures hai. Ab vo tumhaari wife nahi hai," Jhanvi's words bring his world to a standstill.
"Oberoi family me divorces nahi hote. Par tum to is shaadi ko maante hi nahi ho. Isiliye annulment papers. Citing emotional unstability at the time of marriage. Because she was under duress. I think that reason will do. Bas ab sirf tumhaari signatures ki zarurat hai aur tum usse hamesha ke liye free ho aaoge," his mother says all this very calmly.
"Annulment? No! Gauri -" he protests only to be cut off again, this time by his mother.
"Gauri is gone. Aaj tak maine bhi Tej ka har ek zulm saha hai, kyunki mai use pyaar karti thi. Aur yeh ladki? Yeh bhi isi tarah yeh sab sehti rehti aur dusri Jhanvi ban jaati. Mai yeh hone nahi de sakti Om. Tum dono ke beech jo bhi misunderstandings hai, you don't have the right to raise your voice on her, let alone your hand. Gauri ne mujhe sab bata diya. Tum iss rishte ko nahi maante aur na hi issme rehna chahte the kabhi. Aur ab Gauri bhi iss zabardasti ke rishte me nahi rehna chahti hai. Tum dono ke beech kabhi pati-patni ka rishta tha hi nahi isiliye an annulment made sense.I hope you are happy now," she informs him.
There is a subtle sound of his heart shattering in his chest at her words.
"She is gone, away from here. So if you respect her even little bit, please let her be. Tej ki kisi bhi harkat se zyaada dukh aaj mujhe tumne diya hai Om. I... Good night," with parting words, his mother leaves him unaware of the storm that rages inside him.
